The flooring was cut inside our home, leaving sawdust throughout the house, and after the installation we identified numerous workmanship and finishing issues. I contacted Chris and attempted to have these concerns addressed and corrected, but they were not resolved. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been frustrating and will likely cost us additional money to have the flooring properly repaired. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. I'm sharing this review in hopes that it helps other homeowners make an informed decision before hiring someone for a flooring project.

I called Brackens Painting and Kevin met me, provided me a very reasonable quote (as I was paying for the painting out of my own pocket), and was able to find one of his crew members that could have it done immediately (a lucky thing as they are usually booked out three weeks at least - thank you Mother Nature for the thunderstorms that opened DJ's schedule). DJ did an amazing job, was great to talk to, and played some amazing music while he worked. :) He took great pride in his work and customer satisfaction was key. He did not leave until I was satisfied. I can't wait to decorate for the new school year and spend the next portion of my career in this room. As you can see from the before and after pictures, the room is fresh and bright. The shadows and lighting with the original paint just made the room dark. The reviews don't lie, if you're in need of any kind of water restoration this is your guy. Mike and came out a few hours after I called them, my wife and I had got to our cabin after a week long of freezing temps to find our toilet had cracked an the water had been running for a day, we had about an inch of water in the bathroom, and both bedrooms were soping wet. Mike and reassured us that they would take care of everything. Gave us an instant quote over the phone and were honest and upfront about everything. Mike is not out to get you, he is a very honorable guy who's making a living helping people. He has no interest in overcharging you. Mike and his partner Eric got started right away, pulling up the carpet, removing the vinyl bathroom floor, and testing the moisture levels in the walls. Within a short amount of time they had fans under everything and large dehumidifier set up. They assured us they would save everything they could and that it wasn't as bad as we originally thought. Mike returned the next day and checked to make sure everything was working properly, tested the moisture levels, and adjusted some of the fans. Mike and Eric were thorough and professional throughout the entire experience. They saved my cabin, saved the floors, and even saved the carpet. I can't talk enough about the work Mike and Eric did and how hard they worked to get it done. In the end, I was very happy I called Mike, overall it was around $1,000 and was within dollars of his phone estimate. For the amount of work done, the hours spent, equipment used, and how little damage was actullay done after Mike got to work, it was money very well spent and don't usually say this but was happy to write that check. I literally couldn't give a higher recommendation. Mike also runs his own contracting company, which he does great work, I'll be writing separate review there for some work I had done after this incident.

I called Mr. Zellers and he enthusiastically agreed to go to our home and look the job over. He then called me with his report, and specifically identified the problem areas that needed repair before painting could even begin. We agreed on a price and he promised to get the work done. The price, for some wood repair, caulking, scraping, priming & two coats of exterior house paint was quite reasonable. I visited our home this weekend and discovered the work had been completed. The job was first class! To my surprise, I had to call Mr. Zellers to offer to send the balance for the job.
