I ordered Balloon Twisting and Sno Cones from Cortez entertainment for a large event and while everything turned out quite well with the sno cones he cancelled the balloon twisting about an hour before the start of the event. Also, the customer service over the phone prior to the event was not very pleasant and seemed unprofessional. I understand why people always complain about not being able to leave one star reviews. I contacted Cortez Entertainment to rent a snow cone machine for my son's luau birthday. Everything seemed very simple, I called them, they texted back, and we worked out the details. They said I would receive a text on Friday with the location to pick up the machine. In that first conversation, I asked, 'what else do you need from me?' And was told 'that's it'. Fast forward to Saturday, the day before the party, and I have not revived a text with the pick up location so I text them. During this conversation, they tell me I need to make a $300 cash-only (they do not accept checks) deposit and need to provide two forms of proof of residency. We just moved into our house so do not have much with our address on it so this was going to be a pain. And we did not feel comfortable leaving a $300 cash deposit. And, most importantly, none of this was mentioned in the initial conversation! If it had been, I could have planned accordingly and/or used another company! When I expressed my frustration, the text messages coming from their end stopped and I heard nothing else. Luckily I was able to book at the last minute from another company and so I told them to cancel my order.. and heard nothing from them. So yes, in the grand scheme of the world, a snow cone machine is not a big deal but we were looking forward to it and had bought all of the supplies (and they were not refundable) so it would have been annoying and we would have been out the money we spent on the supplies. read more

Listed below are the pros and cons of my experience with the mechanical bull rental from Cortez Entertainment. Pros: 1) They were on time - My reservation was at 8:30pm and they got to my house around 8:00pm. 2) Set up was quick - They took about 10-15 minutes to set up the bull and my guests were enjoying it in no time! 3)They listened to our requests - Some of my guests were afraid of riding the bull but they made sure to go easy on them. Cons: 1) Difficult communication - Upon reserving, it took some time to lock in the date because our schedules were conflicting. 2) Difficulty taking out the bull from the truck into the backyard - Some of my guests had to help roll in the bull into the backyard because we were told it would be difficult to roll it through the front yard grass. Overall, everything was amazing and my guests had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Cortez Entertainment for your party needs! read more

Cortez Ent. Provided everything I requested for my sons 1st Birthday on September 6th. I asked for a balloon arch with mickey ears and he had never done an arch like that but he was able to create exactly what I wanted by looking at a photo I sent him. He did it pretty quick and everyone complimented it! It was the center of attention in the hall that we had the party in. He also provided a piñata stand and hot dog steamer for the party. Everything was clean and ready to go when he arrived. He even helped with the piñata when it was time! Last but not least, he brought MICKEY to the party! I requested that he have him dance with the kids and sing happy birthday with us, he did exactly that! The kids had so much fun with him!
