I decided to take the drive out there, after arriving too early on one attempt I came back to try again and they were open! I met Nate, tending the bar. Nate was awesome. We had a great conversation about all kinds of stuff like Michigan. I had to have him bake me one of their Red Baron pizzas. The place is decorated with all kinds of random quirky stuff, totally my kinda vibe. The pizza was good the beer better and the company the best! Definitely a spot worth making the trek out for! BF had a couple of beers (cant remember what they were, but i believe it was local), and because i wasn't planning on drinking more (we just got done with a small winery tasting tour), but Chris recommended i try the cocktiel de guayaba, its a bourbon cocktail with guava! It was only 40 pesos and if the owner recommends me.....why would i refuse? we were super hungry so we wanted something light and Chris recommended the pulpo ceviche (100 pesos). My drink was ridiculously tasty as i am a huge guava fan and the bourbon balances the sweetness of the guava with the liquor. the pulpo (octopus) ceviche was wonderful and delicious with just the right portion and served with thin tortilla chips. Chris was so kind and chatted with us almost the entire time we were there. i HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for a quick drink and light bite even if you are here to explore the wines in this wine country. my only mistake was that we came here after having drank so much already from visiting all the wineries!

It's a very cool, eclectic space, with a great focus on repurposed materials. The owners were very friendly, shared lots of great details about their beer and their process. We played some magnetic darts which was fun and pet lots of sweet pups our on the patio. But the best part was their beer, the Peanut Butter stout was delicious and the pale ale was fantastic! We can't wait to stop in next time we are in the Valle, it's a hidden gem!

There is a main buffet line, where the staff will plate the food for you. And then if you want salads, oysters or shrimp there is a separate station for that, across one side of the room. And a dessert station on the other side of the room (I almost missed this one!). The over all theme of the place is a sports pub. So there is a bar and tons of TV's showing all the popular sporting events. And of course there are tons of Padre related memorabilia and images on the walls to enjoy.
