As long as my life was sailing along, they were great. However. Recently I had to deal with consolidating accounts, transferring balances, etc., due to a death in the family. Affinity Plus let me down, big-time. I had to make many visits and phone calls and wait months for the funds from and IRA to be distributed to me because 1) they did not require that a beneficiary be named when the account opened and 2) they repeatedly filled out and sent the wrong form to a third party who processes these for them. (In the process I realized that my own IRAs there didn't have a beneficiary, and had to jump through some hoops to make sure one was named. If you have accounts here, make sure you do this.) I paid off my mortgage thru Affinity Plus three months ago, and two weeks later checked with my county to see if the payoff had been registered. It had not, but they said sometimes it takes a month. I checked again two days ago and Affinity Plus still hadn't notified them. So, I made another phone call. Nice guy at Affinity checked into it and called back, apologizing because they just had never done it in the first place. They are always friendly and polite, and seem to want to help, but when the chips are down, these guys just seem to mess up, lose stuff, and not follow through. I will probably keep my checking here, but will look for someplace more reliable for other banking matters.

Every time I go through the drive up, there is an error on the part of the staff of ONB. This is a financial institution and that is not okay. I have called that branch numerous times with no improvement. I don't want to change banks, since I've been a customer for years, but I am being left with no options. Please talk to the drive up staff at this location to improve their accuracy.

Even though they are across the street it's almost like they are on different planets. Wings offers great account options all with no or smaller fees. Rates are consistently more favorable regardless of the product in question. They aren't perfect in that you can find higher returns or even lower interest rates for car or house loans elsewhere, but they are almost always more favorable than other local institutions. The staff is great, the facility is nice, their mobile app makes it so you almost never have to go to a branch. I have to ding them for their service via phone, you could wait a while to get to talk to a human on the phone. I feel pretty good about keeping my money there and guess you would too...
