My bubble burst however when I had to visit Corvallis Power Equipment a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. While I am an old customer and felt their service has been good and the premises clean, each time I visited now that the mask ordinance is in effect, no one was wearing a mask, including the manager or staff. On top of that, no plexiglass on the counter. To pay for items one has to be within two feet of the salesperson. I hate how this has become a political statement. So my statement in return is this: if you can't follow the mandate, if you feel so privileged and put out that caring more for yourself than others around you forms your ideals, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I have three sewing machines, one under warranty and other two I usually just pay for service. I have a Babylocks sewing with love of sewing contract, it is good until 2028. I bought my machine in California, 2024 when I was moving, I called and babylocks assured me I can use warranty to get machine serviced once year with warranty. I used it 2024 with Rich's, I brought the machine to Corvallis, asked them to call babylocks. They couldn't figure it out, they didn't know how to work with warranty, they didn't understand love of sewing contract, it was hopelessly, old fashioned shop, I couldn't work with them, picked up my machine after three days of frustration on the phone, took it to paramount in Salem. They recognized extended warranty with love of sewing, no problem. I would not take babylocks to them.
