Warning: Do not trust Corvo Properties or Corvo Construction I don't know if this company is still in business or not. Google shows it as being permanently closed but they did receive a $54,100 PPP loan on April 4, 2020. We bought a home built by Corvo Construction in 2016. So far, we have had to replace the siding. The siding was defective and subject to several class action lawsuits. The mahogany deck had to be rebuilt because of the poor construction. Part of the deck used indoor pine rather than pressure treated wood. The railings and posts have all separated because they were secured with finish nails. The sump pump discharge totally floods our front yard. A French Drain should have probably been installed to absorb the water. When the new foundation was built, the old foundation was buried in the front and back yards. Before doing any landscaping, we had to remove large chunks of concrete and rock from the old foundation. That is just part of the problem with the exterior. Our electrical service is so poor that we cannot use the toaster and coffee maker at the same time without tripping the circuit breaker. Sections of the floor are not level. The installation of the HVAC system was done very haphazardly. The ducts where the filters sit have been fitted together with screws. I do not know if this is right or wrong but standard filters do not fit because the filter path is obstructed by the screws. All attempts to contact them have been futile. Messages have been left with their office staff who have said they are too busy to return telephone calls. It seems as though this company throws together a house as quickly and cheaply as possible and sells it for top dollar. Be careful not to judge their properties by how they look. Protect your dollars and look elsewhere. read more

Looks can be deceiving...unless you look really closely. Extremely sloppy on the job site, and refused to clean up. Very poor planning of basic things. Extreme lack of follow through with finishing tasks. I would never do business with them again. Fortunately some of the subcontractors they hire are very good and have been able to somewhat make up for their significant deficiencies. read more

I am surprised this company is still in business. They don't even deserve a star but I cannot post a review without it. I moved into one of their properties in 2011 and have had nothing but problems from the beginning. They were responsive to the small issues such as my back door's inability to be locked because the plate wasn't lined up with the latch. However, when plumbing problems started they stated they weren't responsible because THEY didn't install the pipes or fixtures. Okay, I get that maybe they didn't physically put them into place but as the contractors they are responsible for the work their subcontractors do. The list of shortcuts they took that I've discovered so far has become more of a novel: a mishmash or different pipes welded, glued and otherwise forced together to make up my plumbing system; light switches installed upside down because they cut the wires too short; giant holes in the wall (now covered with plastic plates hung by one screw) that don't even have anything behind them; trim that's been pieced together; the drawers aren't screwed to the runners and some were even installed upside down; one thin layer of flat paint with no primer so one bump and the paint falls of the head of the drywall screws; the rubber around my roof hatch was cut short and not flashed properly causing a leak; a plank of hardwood that was obviously shot with an empty nail gun at least 10 times before they got a nail in part way then just hammered it over and the list goes on. I even electrocuted myself once because the circuit board was labeled incorrectly. Please be careful when buying a property that this company was involved with because you'll spend a lot of money cleaning up their mess. read more

I am currently a tenant of over a year. I feel as though this company is very trustworthy and dedicated to its business. Vita, I believe her name is at the office, is very efficient. they are all friendly but very business like and on top of things. Anthony... The head guy Did an amazing job because I saw the before and after of my place. He appears to be a very busy businessman but I feel the Very few times I have went to them The issue was resolved immediately. Anybody that would write a bad review is somebody that probably Was unable to Keep up with their end of the responsibilities and feel some resentment towards them.. They may be nice but this is a business and not a shelter. also several people in the neighborhood said that as soon as these new people took on the business, years back that the neighborhood was cleaned up immediately and became much safer. also the rent is very affordable. I'm from Boston so my judgment may be impaired With that but in my opinion the quality of the apartments inside are worth a bit more than what they ask for. and that doesn't mean that it's a lower class of people because the management and owners are very good with screening who comes in pretty extensively. mostly families or hardworking people just trying to get by. also the key to the front door is is factory made so the copy it is over $300 even though they only charged a $50 fee that you get back when you return it. They also have a couple cameras located at the door and laundry in a building that is very cheap I think ...a dollar 25 a wash and dry ..so that was another investment that I appreciate as a female ...since there are several apartments inside . it makes me feel more comfortable you know that there aren't a lot of keys floating around and I am specifically talking about 1 unit but Corvo properties owns several. I feel lucky to have Found myself a good situation Because there are so many scum landlords out there That are more interested in making money than Investing it into safety and overall comfort of their properties. My last place the landlord offered free laundry and as soon as he had the place filled he charged $6 a wash and dry several times we the two floors of tenants went to him complaining it foesbt dry completely and takes twelve dollars a dry but nothing was attended to. that example alone is enough to realize that Corvo is separated from the lower class of scum landlords... as long as you are keeping up your end of the bargain they are an amazing company to deal with. Sometimes no matter how great the owner is.. the face or voice behind the phone at the office can ruin it all. but in this case everybody seems to work together as a team and have everything under control. They are pleasant but hard workers and although it appeared to be a small office it seems like they can keep up with all the properties because I've never felt that it took me a long time to get a response. with the many places they deal with it seems they know each person by name and that is a great business technique. read more
