I had my kitchen renovated while living in my unit. The workers did their best to remain unobtrusive, and they timed the project so that I could use my kitchen almost the entire time. Adam's prices were extremely reasonable. I appreciated that, when I made a few last-minute requests on project changes, he was flexible. My favorite thing is that Adam gave me a lot of peace-of-mind -- I am a huge worrywart, and I probably sent Adam an email every day (on average) to follow-up on the status of the project. Adam replied to every email and call very patiently and was always very communicative. You really can't ask for more. We reached out to the Holland Companies via our real estate broker and while the estimate ballooned from ~$60 to a final bill of $530, we were satisfied with the fix... until the heat was again unable to be turned on by the buyers during the walkthrough. The plumber came back out (with no notice, which we were grateful for), was finally able to get the heat turned on, and our house closed! A day after the closing we received an additional invoice for $200 for 2.5 hours of work. While the information above paints the picture of a perhaps less than competent, somewhat unscrupulous, and generally mediocre contractor, the final exchange between myself and the owner, Joe, added enough to push me to write this and plead with any and all customers not to seek out the services of the Holland Company. I intended on calling the company to ask for an explanation of the rationale for additional invoice (specifically why following the manufacturer instructions to override a temperature sensor and pressing the "on" button was billed out at 2 hours) and instead was confronted with accusations of "welching" on my bill and a barrage of misogyny that has no place in a customer service industry. Joe repeatedly talked over me, called me "honey", "sweetheart " and "love", and when I told him that I was dismayed at his lack of decorum and would be writing a negative review, he responded sarcastically with "Ooooohhhhhh, I'm going to be on the internet? Big deal, I don't care." Additionally, Joe indicated they are not in the "service" industry and was doing us a "favor" through our real estate agent, and I have no idea why he agreed to provide a service if he's not in the service industry. I am simply a consumer looking to understand a bill. I paid the bill, as I do all my bills, as originally sent, but was unhappy with the back-and-forth on the fix and more incredulous at how I was treated when I called the company to discuss what I didn't understand about that bill. Well Honey, welcome to the internet and for all of you prospective clients out there, please run (don't walk) away from doing business with this company.

Overall, for me, Bryson Builders was a great decision, because Peter, the contractor, has experience with the insurance claim process; he is not "salesy" and listened to my concerns/questions; and he had a thorough estimate that clearly outlined all the work that would be completed. Having never been through a renovation, the repair process went beyond my expectations. Given that my roommate and I were still living in my home through the process, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The Bryson Builders team members were professional and treated my home well. For the most part, the work area was cleaned on a daily basis and I can see progress as time passed. Due to my schedule, I appreciated the flexibility in being able to communicate with Peter via phone or email. I received updates from Peter frequently allowing me to be mentally prepared and/or to prepare my home as necessary. The finished product is so amazing, from the quality paint job throughout the home, the installation of the countertops, electrical work, and the bathroom tiling to the roof replacement. Not only does my house feel more like home but I feel confident that my home can withstand another snowpoccalypse. I appreciate Bryson Builders' hard work, and really feel that things would not have worked out if I chose another contractor. Bryson Builders will be my go to contractor in the future.

At the beginning there were only two or three places, but later there were more and more loose and later, bubbles began to appear in many places. It turns out that the entire new replacement was not built to standard. It's very difficult for ordinary people like us to notice. Therefore, you need to consider this before choosing them.

They did an overpriced, shoddy job installing our roof actually leaving tiles all over it including a tile glue-side down on the skylight that we had to chase them to come remove and a giant permanent black stain on the sidewalk in front of our house. The skylight leaked a month later and again we had to chase them to even get a response. Ignored our calls and would blow off set appointments with no communication whatsoever. Finally they sent two random guys, who didn't bring a ladder (roofers!) and had to use mine, and they charged us more money saying it was because of a mild storm we had. This never happened with our previous roof and was obviously to get out of honoring their fake warranty. Months later the roof leaks again, and again they're either ignoring our calls altogether or the shifty owner tells us a time then blows it off. Avoid this horrible scam of a business at all costs.
