I get a sense that my dental insurance is maxed and the schedule is to make sure a plan is used to spend every cent that is available. While I can appreciate a plan to maximize my benefits, I believe its all about the profit. I have never spent so much to do so little hygiene work. I have friends who refered me there who feel similar to what I feel and that was their comments and not just me fishing for agreement. I am not complaining about legit dental things like replacing fillings etc...but still am very weary. The straw that broke my back and made me want to write this letter was shortly after I was lectured about having to cancel an appointment. I was told that I have missed several and that was unacceptable from them. I needed to pay a charge if I was cancelling. I was confused by the comment of missing appointments so I asked if she could tell me when I had missed appointments. Here first comment was that I called in with strep throat the evening before my morning appointment, and the time before that dated back to 2007. Five years and thousands of dollars in care had since past! I was absolutely blown away. I suggested that she should bill me for the visit that I was going to have to miss and I have not been back since.

So the pain in my mouth, should have been quick and easy for a qualified dentist. but it was over twenty years of hell. Loss of sleep major headaches , and a very ignorant patient: me! Another employee from my place of business lived near Stafford . So I enquired with her with about here. Her response was he brings the Patient alot of pain. At the time big jobs were done by Dr Stillwater. He suggested a procedure, but never once called it by it's common name. Which is "ROOT CANAL" ! As this horrible procedure never actually cured any pain I was having. I mentioned it at a follow up. "He told me it looked great, and if this 2nd attempt doesn't work, I'd need false teeth which entails a lot of dental visits and similar procedures, and heavy maintenance.Plus not much if any insurance coverage."Life went on and everyone including different dentists all complimented my dental work. And didn't seem to hear any of words on the pain I've been in for 1-2 decades.A description of the work done, I gave to someone explained that to me ,it was a Root Canal! In which I sucked it up and lived in pain with.This started to feel worse so another dentist who "loved" Stillwaters work in my mouth; finally got a specialist (Orthidontist ?) only on my insistence someone to pull the teeth and the roots out.And they were keen on the cleaning procedure extensively! (what the hell the guy's got insurance!) I feel normal again after years of pain. But hell used to "look great", but I would have traded the pain for many more meals with soup.And possibly less two divorces. My Experience, Makes me not trust any medical providers in this province.
