My name is Suzanne. I live in the desert. I went to Dr. Quiroz Medical Surgery Center in Mexico 20 years ago. I was 46. I had a face, neck, and forehead lift. You can not find a scare on my scalp. I call Dr. Quiroz; "The Master Seamstress" , he is gifted with his vision and skills in keeping a woman's face with its natural look. I never needed to have any injection or laser treatments done on my face the past 20 years. I stayed at an inexpensive hotel on the US side and went back and forth to his office. It was easy to cross the border 20 years ago..! I had an ice chest with frozen soups and a hot plate in the room. Now at 66, I am ready to have my neck and face done again. I went to two doctors in the desert, they both told me they would do fat injections to my face along with the neck, face lift. The price for the total surgery was very expensive. . I called to see if Dr. Quiroz was still open at his Surgery Center. I was pleased to find out he had move to a magnificent building with a "recovery boutique hotel", spa, dermatatologist,weight loss, and dentists in the same building. I emailed him pictures of my face. He called me to discuss what surgery my face needed. Yes, he said, it is time to do a lower face and neck lift. I asked him about fat injections, he said, "NO" your type of face does NOT need fat injection. I was so very glad to hear him tell me the truth about the condition and shape of my face. I knew I could TRUST HIM and I that I would never let any other doctor do surgery on my face..! I scheduled the surgery date and made a reservation at the "recovery boutique hotel" for 7 days. The day of surgery, the nurse read off to me everything she was putting into my IV. Antibiotic was one of the ingredients .Everyday the nurse or staff at the "recovery boutique hotel" came into my room to make sure I was taking the after surgery antibiotic pills. There is NO way to get an infection at Dr. Quiroz's Medical Surgery building. Everyday I saw the maintenance staff sanitizing the hotel, spa, and doctor's office. ONCE AGAIN Dr. Quiroz has enhanced the natural beauty of my face and neck, they both turned out better than I thought was possible. I am very grateful to his devotion to keeping woman youthful and beautiful with his amazing surgical skills...! My stay at the "recovery boutique hotel" was a dream come true. To get on the elevator to go see your doctor; or have him come to your room is the best care you could ever want. Perla, the manager is very personable, her staff is wonderful, they care for you every need. The nurses took my blood pressure and temperature and drained the tubes regularly. The food was healthy and tasty with a good variation to choose from. The room was comfortable and very clean. There is a phone in the room, in which you can call the US with no charge. The 3rd day after my surgery I went to the "Spa" and had lymphic massage with ultrasound. I had it done a total of 4 times. Tonya, the technician has great healing hands. The treatments helped the healing process and the swelling. I had a foot and hand massage. I also had Thermage CPT done on my eye lids by Dr. Furnta, the dermatologist. I felt very comfortable with his knowledge and technique on my eye lids, they look great . The total of money I spent with the surgery, Spa, dermatologist and Recovery boutique hotel was LESS than what the doctors in the desert quoted me for just their surgery....! Ladies, I would suggest that you consider surgery on you face as a very important investment; you can not cover you face with clothes..! Make your reservation to stay at the "recovery boutique hotel" for at least 6-7 days. Three days is not a long enough time to heal properly. This "recovery boutique hotel is very busy. They book up months in advance. If you only book 3 days and then realize you need more time ; do not write in you review, " they asked me to leave. YOU have to leave ONLY because there is another person who has reserved the room and the days you reserved is OVER. I have many friends who have had their face surgeries done in the desert, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills. They look at my face, neck and say, what an incredible surgery the doctor did, can I have his phone number. I would like to say; "Thank You" to "Paulina", the surgery coordinator. Dr. Quiroz- A 8 meses de cirugía de cuello, face lift, blefaroplastía párpados superiores y levantamiento de cejas (eso fue lo que autoricé y pagué, Dr. Quiroz me hizo otras cirugías que no autoricé ni pagué). Cada semana/ mes que transcurre se nota más la incompetencia de los "cirujanos" que intervinieron en mi cara. El cambio de forma de ojos que hizo en mi el Dr. Quiroz sencillamente es horrendo. Me achicó los ojos y cambió mi forma almendrada natural a una redondeada y levantada en los extremos externos. Eso junto con un levantamiento de cejas mal hecho (lo voy a arreglar dentro de poco) me dan mirada que parece de villano de película de horror. Recientemente estuve viendo vídeos de cirugías plásticas en Europa y hacen burla de ese mismo tipo de cirugía que el Dr. Quiroz hizo en mis ojos y según el vídeo es una cirugía practicada frecuentemente por cirujanos plásticos en América Latina). Continúo con diferentes cicatrices en los párpados porque me operaron dos incompetentes diferentes en cada lado de mi cara. El párpado derecho lo tengo caído nuevamente porque la piel que cortaron fue la del párpado móvil en lugar de hacerlo de la piel que está sobre éste que es la se cae. Por primera vez en mi vida tengo doble papada, más marcada en el lado izquierdo por la forma errada en que movieron los músculos y piel. En una revisión anterior había mencionado que la oreja izquierda había quedado muy baja con respecto a la izquierda; dos orejas quedaron más bajas que su posición original pero la izquierda parece de un síndrome genético por su baja inserción. Las cicatrices siguen más que visibles. Hace dos semanas yo misma me removí un pedazo de hilo de sutura que se hizo visible y palpable al disminuir la hinchazón. Manténganse alejados de esta clínica de garaje con pseudocirujanos. Esta clínica funciona parecido a los neg0ci0s de tr@t@ de humanos donde capturan a las mujeres con un contrato legal para el cual les piden un adelanto de $ para trámites (en Vida, firmas un contrato/autorización para cirugía y pagas por el servicio), luego los administradores del negocio toman c0ntr0l sobre el cuerpo dr0g&nd0 a las mujeres (en Vida con anestesian en sala de operaciones), alquilan/ v€nd€n el cuerpo de las mujeres para lo q el cliente quiera hacer (en Vida te someten a procedimientos que tú no solicitaste, no autorizaste y no pagaste). En mi caso me hicieron cirugía de la frente y cambio de forma de ojos sin autorización. Días posteriores a mi cirugía me quejé de que no podía abrir bien los ojos y Quiroz fue tan vil, sucio que me dijo que me habían tomado un punto de sutura porque yo no cerraba los ojos cuando en realidad me había cambiado la forma de ojos. Dr. Quiroz alquila los cuerpos a los residentes para que ellos practiquen sin que tú lo sepas. Después de mi cirugía he sabido de 2 mujeres que murieron en medio de los procedimientos. Had a consultation with dr Fuentes! He said my face was to square! I trusted his opinion. Had a surgery on my cheeks on October 5th, 2016. After the surgery the right side swelled up to obnormal size. I sent him a picture, he said it's normal for one side to get more swollen. 2 weeks later, the left side got back to normal, the right side got worse. I went to emergency room, I was hospitalized had a cat scan on my head, blood work, I was so scared, had a surgery , it was infected. The doctor told me that the smart doctor from Tijuana damaged my parotid gland. Answer my question dr Fuentes, how the hell that happened ? After an emergency surgery in Encinitas I had to see a specialist every other day to drain the blood and saliva from my check with a huge syrange and needle, painful, time consuming. Dr Fuentes told me to come back to Tijuana he will inject Botox. I told this to my surgeon from Scripps hospital, he was laughing about it. Botox works temporarily and won't fix the problem. I called Cosmed Clinic asked them for dr Fuentes, they said he was unavailable at the moment, I told the lady who answered the phone that he damaged my parotid gland during a surgery, she said he will call you after 1pm. I called them back later that day. THEY BLOCKED MY NUMBER!!! They just blocked me!!! So unprofessional and disrespectful! They don't want to take responsibility for their mistakes!!! November 3d, I was hospitalized again, with the huge swelling and pain, could't take it anymore. Had an endoscopic surgery. At first the dr wanted do the surgery from outside, which means they would cut my face by the ear and I would have a scar on my face. Thanks God they did it from inside of the mouth. Surgery was for 2 hours. After the surgery the doctor told me that they could't find the duct gland and they had to create a new one, sounds really scare. What happened to my gland dr Fuentes ????? I don't understand what have you done ???? Today is a day after the surgery, I'm still at the hospital. Missing work, losing money, probably missing all fun holidays. Mentally and physically drained. I just want to let everybody to know not to trust dr Fuentes with your face and your body! Save your money! The food is not only out of this world, but specially designed just for you. The 24/7 care that these professional nurses provide was beyond my expectation. Rocio was in touch with me everyday. I would highly recommend Dr. Quiroz and his staff to anyone who is interested in Plastic Surgery. I had lost 140 lbs in two years. I was extremely proud of what I had accomplished, but I did not like the extra skin and saggy butt and breasts. I really wanted to have surgery, but knew that I could not afford to do all that I wanted to do in the states. So, I did a lot of research and decided that CosMed was for me. I had surgery at CosMed September 5th 2017 with Dr. Alejandro Quiroz. I had a full body lift, Brazilian butt lift, breast lift with implants and arm lifts. I know that is way more surgery to have done at one time than the norm. Dr. Quiroz did tell me ahead of time that he would not promise to do everything I wanted. Safety was a first priority for him. But since my labs were excellent, he said he would see how the surgery progressed and how I was tolerating it, then he would decide if it was safe to continue. Thankfully, he was able to do everything I wished! I can not express enough how wonderful the care and attention was that I had during my 2 week stay. I was visited daily by a doctor. The nurses were very attentive and took the very best care of me. I can honestly say that the care there was far better than you could ever receive in the states. The food was delicious and the rooms were very nice and very clean. Even after I came home, Dr. Quiroz called me weekly, then bi-weekly or so, to check on me to see how I was doing even after I was home for nearly 3 months after surgery. I am traveling from Australia to Cosmed Clinic in Tijuana for my first plastic surgery procedure. My first procedure was preformed by CosMed's Chief Plastic Surgeon Dr. Alejandro Quiroz who has been in practice almost 30 years. I came to see Dr. Q for a Brazilian Butt Lift which is a procedure that he performs on a daily basis and had been doing for 17 plus years. The reason why I chose him is because of his expertise and qualifications. He is board certified doctor and is also fully licensed to practice in the USA. Actually he has years of experience doing surgery in New Port Beach, LA and Orange Country with extremely reputable doctors. The "Brazilian Butt Lift" procedure is relatively new for alot of doctors so it was important for me to choose a doctor with multiple years of experience. DR. FUENTES IS FANTASTIC, I am from australia I have traveled 14 hours to see Dr. Fuentes, he is absolutely amazing. HE IS THE NICEST MAN I have met in a long time. I am so happy with my surgery. I am writing this 5 days post op and I have minimal bruising and most of my swelling has already gone down. I have "the hump" shaved off, the tip defined and also the inside of the nostrils defined. Dr. Quiroz CosMed Clinic were recommended to me by a dear friend, and satisfied Clinic customer in 2014. That year I had my first procedure there which was a traditional facelift. I I was very happy with the results and had a wonderful experience at the clinic. So many people have told me NOT to go to Mexico to get cosmetic surgery done. Well, after my experience and the prices in the US, I would probably never reconsider cosmetic surgery in the US. I had a breast lift with augmentation, tummy tuck and lipo for about $8,900.00. In the US I got two bids, well over $20,000.00. Dr. Quiroz was my doctor. He did an amazing job!!! I was referred to CosMed by a friend and after thorough investigation and research I decided to pay them a visit. I first began my relationship with this clinic with Botox and filler's. I wanted to try something temporary before I had a permanent surgery. I read the mixed reviews but decided to give them a try myself. After continuous and courteous positive interaction with the staff and the doctors I scheduled my breast lift and augmentation surgery. I was able to pay with an American credit card all of the staff speak fluent English. The doctor gave me realistic expectations. After my surgery I had a complication, no error of the DR, the doctor quickly revised the surgery at no additional cost, other than $500 surgery room fee. I had my surgery in 2011, with Dr Quiroz. Full body lift, tummy tuck and thigh lift. also I had a breast implant that had popped after an accident so I had old implants removed and new ones put in. Total cost for all this including the recovery spa was around 15k. Dr. Q was great from start to finish, His office manger who I talk with from the beginning was very helpful. after send in pictures I had a phone consult with Dr. Q and then after we decided what I wanted done, it all went smoothly. I used the Medical transport well worth the money to be brought back and forth over the boarder. The recovery medical spa Dr Q has right there in the building is beautiful and well staffed with caring nurses. you can not believe the price per night. I came in last year after a good friend referred me. I was visiting San Diego and I decided to cross the boarder to come see Dr. Quiroz for Botox. The distance from San Diego to Vida/Cosmed was less than 30 minutes from where I was staying and it was so easy! Once I arrived everyone was very polite and welcoming! The facility Vida was gorgeous and very clean. Once I met the Dr. Quiroz he was very nice and understanding and listened to what I wanted since I had never had Botox done before and was a little nervous. he addressed his opinion on what he thought I needed and I accepted. The pain was very minimal and it was done so smoothly. I saw the results after a couple days after which was what I was told and I loved it. Everything was what I wanted! Last year I have a procedure ( butt implants ) done in this facility by Dr Juan Carlos Fuentes and I am in love with the results, Dr Juan Carlos Fuentes is not only very professional and also very realistic and will not perform something on you if is not safe to do it so. He always responds very promptly to my emails and calls when I was asking him thousands of questions in regards my procedure. I decided to go with him because his professionalism. I am from Virginia so I was very skeptical going out of the Country to have work done but Dr Fuentes and his stuff made me feel very safe at ALL times. The doctors at this clinic and the rest of the staff are exceptional. I have had multiple procedures done at cosmed throughout the last 18 years, with several different doctors and have no complaints. I also know personally of many others who have undergone surgeries (facelifts, rhinoplasty, tummy tucks, etc) at cosmed and there were absolutely no complaints from anyone. I think the negative reviews are usually from people who have either never been to this clinic, have been refused for some reason by the doctors, or who have very unrealistic expections. We came into Vida/cosmed with my 63 year old aunt who came in for a face and necklift surgery. From the moment we walked on we were very impressed with the facility/clinic/. Everything went smoothly with the surgery thanks to Dr. Quiroz. I stayed with her a couple nights at the recovery boutique hotel and it was very clean and professional. After we went home, my aunt was doing very well. Dr.Q was still in constant communication with her. We came back a week later to get her stitches removed and according to my aunt she already looked amazing! She is very happy with everything and I am happy if she is happy! Thank you Vida/CosMed!
