I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

I have been…read morefighting with David the "regional" and Chantal the "property manager" for over a year regarding damage done by their automated gate. Once evidence was presented, they began ignoring and giving us the run around. As someone who has previously worked in property management for many years this is the worst experience I've ever seen, personally and professionally. I have been cooperative and understanding throughout the entire process. I just want a my car fixed (which was only 5 days old when their gate damaged it), and they consistently dodge accountability or even a basic response to acknowledge my communications.

They charge for pest control, however, when I first moved in, I had to buy roach bombs & glue traps to eventually get them under control. Outside of Franchesca, management is terribly rude and/or unprofessional. It takes them a long time to make repair, & they do them in the most "ghetto" (cheap) way possible. When I saw them painting over black mold, I moved out. Upon moving out they didn't do a walk-through and tried to charge me for ac "repairs" that were due to the mold. So don't expect your deposit to be returned, since they try to nickel and dime everyone for everything in old, run-down apartments. All these bad reviews aren't lies. MOVE IN AT YOUR OWN PERIL!
