I keep my hair short and spunky, so if something goes wrong, I usually don't have to wait very long until I can fix it. That being said, I'd obviously rather not have to wait for the hairstyle I want. At the same time, I don't want to spend over $40 on a haircut. Like I said, I keep my hair short, so I don't really see how salons can justify charging me a ton of money to chop off less than an inch of hair. I found New Image after hours (no exaggeration) of searching on the web. Something about the way they portray themselves on their website really drew me in, so I called to make an appointment and they got me in the same day. My stylist was Michelle, and I knew pretty much right away that the experience would be perfect. She asked what I was interested in and I gave her a general idea of the hairstyles I like. We were on the same page right away. I told her that I like to give my stylists creative license to do what they think is best...they are trained to do the job, after all. Michelle carefully explained what she had in mind, and all systems were go. Throughout the entire process, Michelle was very friendly and personable. 30 minutes later, I left with one of the best haircuts I have had in a very long time. Michelle said that if within a week I notice any issues, I can come back in and have it fixed free of charge. Major bonus. The shampoo, cut, and dry normally costs $25, but with an online coupon from their website, I paid $22.40. Perfect price! I'm so relieved I've found a local salon and stylist I can count on. I'll definitely be back!

When I called it was verified I was charged twice for the cut & it should be back on my account . However when I checked the next day still no reimbursement. I was told it could take a few days to receive a refund. Not a great practice for customer support. Money had no problem charging my account but not reimbursement on their mistake. Makes me not want to go back even after the amazing hair style by Mia. She is great & I highly recommend her. It's a shame no accountability by front desk staff. However, my last two haircuts were uneven and grew out poorly, and my most recent visit with my 11-year-old daughter was entirely unacceptable. ​During our appointment, my stylist heavily lectured my daughter about heat styling and using heat spray, making passive-aggressive comments about how her own mother never taught her these things so she had to teach my daughter--all while I was standing right there. It felt incredibly disrespectful and intrusive, and it made my daughter very uncomfortable. ​Furthermore, the stylist made an offensive comment to us about how she "refuses to cut anyone's hair if it's too damaged" because of "where she is in her career." My daughter and I prefer to keep our hair long and don't get frequent cuts, and being judged or shamed for our hair condition by a professional we've trusted for years was highly disappointing. ​To make matters worse, the salon environment felt completely unmanaged. Another client and his mother were allowed to hover closely around my daughter. Despite her being visibly upset and uncomfortable, the other stylists simply brushed it off saying, "Oh, he won't touch you," instead of respecting her personal space or intervening. ​After ten years of loyalty, the drop in technical quality and the complete lack of professional boundaries and awareness during this last visit means we will not be returning.

During Covid the salon requires all guests & staff to wear masks & only except card payments at this time. Staff sprayed & wiped down stations between every client. I made an appointment & was instructed to call from my car upon appointment arrival. Overall I've been very pleased with this salon for a number of years. From a client perspective, over the last year since the transition to the new Cost Cutters name, it feels that not much has changed!
