I went in after work for my buddies bachelor party, thinking I should tidy up my hair and beard. My usual girls were either off or busy with other clients. I (thankfully) can't remember the name of the one who mutilated my beard, but she took off most of the hair on my cheeks all the way down to my jaw. I now have a chinstrap mixed with a goatee. It took me a year to get my beard to where it was to me either having to shave it off, or just embrace the mid- 2000's grunge look. read more

Wanted a basic shag. Left with the front an inch off, and the back at a giant slope. Called and went back to have it fixed. The hair dresser basically defended her cut...saying it was even on the sides. Wouldn't listen to me at all, just kept talking over me. I'm a licensed hair dresser since the 1970's. I left very angry due to the lack of customer service. I won't ever go to another Cost Cutters. I might add that most of the employees there look like they just crawled off a bar stool to come to work. Dirty shoes, hair in buns with a barrett holding the wild hairs, no makeup. Pretty nice environment, usually friendly and full of talking and music. Honestly, I'm not a fan of all of the stylists, since some of them can be really rough or just treat you like a pain in the rear-end. I recommend picking someone and if you like them, using them every single time. Overall, you can get a pretty solid haircut and enjoy yourself. ~ read more

I'm just a guy that gets the same hair cut every 4 or 5 weeks, nothing fancy. This is my go-to place for a quick haircut. I've tried a number of other mall places, but dollar for dollar this is the place to get the most reliable service and a consistently good haircut. All the stylists are great. They occasionally get a little balled up with people calling ahead and people waiting so at busy times some patience might be required, but that is rare. I'll keep going back. read more

I honestly have had a very disappointing experience with Cost Cutters Management. I was never advised of their policy. None of the stylists ever advised me it was unheard of, or not doable to do a color correction. In fact, they seemed to 'see' the following day, once in natural lighting that it wasn't quite like the color of the pictures I would show them. Not long after my last visit, I received a call from a complete stranger, Crystal Spangenburg (Who claims to watch over 20 plus locations) advising me I was no longer welcome at either location. When I questioned her and told her that I could prove the color was not as the picture that I presented, she asked me to email everything to her, then within a second, got more highly charged and informed me that she didn't want me to email her the evidence, but that she was going to trust the judgment of here-say. I was stunned. This leaves me bewildered regarding their management team and the lack of business ethics. read more

Good Day! I hope All are enjoying a peaceful, pleasant one. I've been going to Cost Cutters, 4 Corners, for at least 4 years. I believe the first girl I met there was Sue. I've had the pleasure of having my hair cut by at least 3 other girls, Shamica, Jen, someone else maybe. I found them CC-4, (as I'm now going to reference them by), by accident. I have a medical clinic nearby, which is just down the road a quick step and a turn at the lube joint. Big Lots is an attraction, and I believe we went there, we saw CC-4, I needed a hair cut, their doors were still open (we got there somewhat late and didn't expect them to be open). I don't know how long I waited, probably not very. Even so, I'm Never in a hurry or a rush. That behavior I believe is somewhat neurotic and I have my mental health and disposition to maintain as well as my hair. I usually get my hair washed. I like for them to have clean hair to work with, and I just like the way it feels. It's worth a few bucks more for a nice scalp massage. My wife is always with me and she sometimes guides the Stylist as to how to set me back, because my spine is shot, and I have to be careful how I lay back. The girls are always smart and gentle about it. I totally enjoy the hair washing, scalp massaging experience. I like to talk, and kid, and joke around, and I have great fun conversations with everybody, even the girls who aren't working on my hair. I'm smiling right now as I think about it. Sometimes I'll show them pictures from the stylist magazines to show them what I want to look like, but of course, there's only so much they can do, and unfortunately, plastic surgery is not in there line of work. I like to have a pleasant, fun time wherever I go. Instead of being demanding about what I would like, I try instead to make nice moments for the girls, since I know their job is difficult, and I also know they sometimes have unpleasant experiences from some of the customers... which can make for a rattling day. Anyway, this review is getting long but I like to write as well as talk. I also want to paint a picture of my experiences at Cost Cutters, 4 Corners. I wish to give readers somewhat of a descriptive, visual, review. I hope I have achieved at least a little bit of my goals. I've Never had a bad haircut and always walked away with a Head better than expected. I always get a haircut better than I had requested, and the girls always ask several times if I'm satisfied with it. And when I say I always walk away with a Head better than I expected, I'm referring to my whole Head, Hair, Scalp, Brain, Disposition, everything. I don't get out much due to my disabilities. Pleasant, fun moments for me are too few and far in between. I Always look forward to going there, to say the least. I truly do, honestly, Love the girls at Cost Cutters 4 Corners, for the Great Experience I obtain there..... and the hair cuts are great too. PS. this ain't no BS review. I'm the friendliest, most honest guy you could ever meet. To me, I believe mostly in two things, aside from Love, being the first... and those two things are Kindness, and Honor. The place is inexpensive. For manosexuals I suggest you go to another stylist. It's a fifteen dollar in and out hair cut. So if you are expecting more you are daft. First of all, I rarely submit reviews. But I have to say that this really is the worst experience I've ever had. It's absolutely beyond dissatisfactory and the hairdresser who served me is very rude. Secondly, I came in for a simple short haircut just to clean up the edge, which is an easy job. After giving me an uncomfortable hair wash for about three minutes, she started to cut my hair while water was still DRIPPING OFF. Come on!!! I had to ask her three times to dry my hair a little bit...That is not the worst; it literally HURT when she was doing my hair. My hair was still super wet when she told me she's finished and asked me whether I wanna blow dry, which is gonna cost more. I mean, I do not mind being charged more to dry my hair; but why the hell didn't you do any of that before you finishing cut my hair? Last, you can imagine how bad my hair looks after it's dry, given that she cut my hair while it's soaked. I did not even wanna tip her; I did anyway. It's not my thing (not tipping). But I certainly regretted that I did. I'm willing to believe that there are other hairdressers who might be nicer and good at their jobs. However, I will NEVER go back to this place ever again!!! *if price is one of your reasons you consider this place, there are lots of cheap hair salons in the tri-city area. Think twice! read more

Here is my original review: Britney the stylist was rude, gave me a horrible hair cut and was full of attitude. When I asked her to fix the uneven lengths she did, she refused. When I went home My HAIR WAS UNEVEN BY OVER 4 INCHES FROM ONE SIDE TO ANOTHER. When I called to complaint, they did not want to listen to my complaint and I had to beg them. On their receipt it says "satisfaction guaranteed" while when you go there you are treated badly and they mess up your hair. I used to get a hair cut before here AND I EVEN HAVE A PICTURE OF HOW MY HAIR IS SUPPOSED TO BE CUT AND SHOWED IT TO THEM, but Brittany refused to look at the picture. She just played wacka-mole with my hair. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR RUINED AND BE TREATED LIKE AN ANIMAL. Brittany has no respect for her customers and would not even look at your hair when she is cutting it, I swear she she was staring off in the space while cutting my hair. Had my hair colored here last minute and Ariel was so nice and did a great job! It was a bit darker than I would have liked (and she explicitly said "it won't be that dark" but hey, it happens. The undertone is exactly how I hoped it would look and in general, this was an excellent job for a chain haircut place. A bit pricier than I would've hoped, but for short notice and my hair not all falling out, it was great. Not sure if I would return again, though. read more

Maybe I wasn't specific enough in terms of what I wanted for my hair. My hair at the time was shoulder length and I asked for something edgy. By edgy, the stylist interpreted it as layers everywhere. Now not only is my haircut not symmetrical front and back, it is also overlayered that there's no day I am not frustrated with short strands of hair flying in my face. This was an impulse visit as the Colour salon next door is always booked with clients. Now I know that I should just put up with that and get my hair done correctly. read more

The girls are very friendly and welcoming here. I stopped in with my 3 yr old daughter and husband and they were able to take us right away, making our daughter feel comfortable and chatting with her on her own level. I finally found a great Beautician that knows how to cut hair. Somtimes there is a small wait but it is worth it. She is also worth the $5 tip I give everytime I need a cut. I would highly recommend Jess for your next cut. read more

Checked in at 5:45. Still waiting at 7:05. Was told 20 minutes. Computers crashed and then they just decided to take other customers that came in after my son. I stood at the counter for 15 minutes being totally ignored by the three staff that was working. Finally while they were checking out a customer I asked for them to check where my son was on the list and they said, " oh I think he's next". I said yes he should of been 30 minutes aha. This is about the service. I came in as a walk in at 5:00 and was told it would be about 30 minutes. No one mentioned that, in addition to the people already waiting, there were three people with appointments at 5:30. At 5:25, they called the first appointment person--5 minutes early--instead of any of the three of us walk-ins who were still waiting. read more

I walked in was told a 45 min wait, went next door to food market to shop, returned and waited 40 more minutes and asked how long, was told another 1/2 hour. Poor attitude and no real apology. If I could give a negative star I would. I am a merchant myself and if an employee of mine had treated a customer this way they would be terminated. read more

I would rate 0 stars if it was possible. The staff had no idea what they were doing, the hair stylist(Kris) left the bleach on my hair way too long(bleaching my red hair) on some spots and not enough on others so there are red splotches and streaks all throughout my hair. I showed her a picture of a DARK brown to blonde balayage and I got a full head of blonde and red hair with caramel roots and paid $165???(I wanted NO red at all and she kept reassuring me there would be absolutely no red or orange in it) Oh! And also, Kris washed my hair with FREEZING COLD water multiple times. I said something about it and she said "it wasn't supposed to touch your scalp" and didn't change the temperature at all. She did VERY sloppy work and was very careless while she ripped through my hair trying to brush it. And she took 6 hours for a basic bleach and color. 6 HOURS. I wasted 6 hours of my life and spent $165 for something that disgusts me to even look at. Was very upset. I still cry when I look in the mirror because there's nothing I can do about how awful it looks because it's so damaged from her bleaching it so much. Do NOT go here!!! read more
