Experienced with the latest trends but can also accommodate more traditional hair styles/colors--women, men and children. I've been going to her for several years and never had a bad experience--I've had my hair short and had it longer--she is good at it all. Really good with getting just the right color and highlights too. I often just give her a general description of what I want and she takes it from there. Prices are very reasonable. It's a pleasure to go there each time and see her smiling face.

We had, at length, discussed what color to put on it and instead of the pretty, warm red, I got dark brown eggplant. I have had the red for years with various highlights in it and thought I was getting one color. Either communication broke down between us, which is unlikely the case, or she mixed the wrong dye and let it overprocess (very likely as I know how much time I usually spend processing). She refuses to refund my money, attempt to fix it, or have anyone else in the salon fix it. They tout themselves as the "color fixers," but clearly they are unwilling to clean up their own mess.

Jan is awesome, she cuts my hair exactly how I want it and always makes it look amazing. She also does highlights for me every time I go and they look amazing each time. I have also had her fix mistakes made by other hairdressers from time to time and she has done an excellent job each time. If I lived in town I would never go anywhere else! And they have great prices to top it off.

These girls in these salons…read morehave an onus to the public to provide decent hair cuts, dyes, highlights and anything else they are required BY LAW to do. If you aren't happy with your cut, style, color ask for your money back or tell them you aren't paying them. Take a picture of your hair BEFORE and after so if needed, you have the proof and evidence of a bad cut, style, color, etc. Not all these girls are nice in ANY of the cutting crew places, including Oneonta, Norwich, Sidney, and etc. I filed a complaint and DAWN from New Jersey threatened me and has now followed me to every Salon I have been to that is affiliated with the Cutting Crew. Dawn is in New Jersey. Beauticians are beauticians. They are not doctors, therapists, or anything else except a hairdresser. Not happy? Don't pay them. PERIOD. And this can be a lesson for Everyone. Do your jobs or you simply won't get paid. Customers. Be nice don't expect the world, but do expect a decent job which is what these girls are trained to do. I don't usually publish names or horrible reviews, but this one takes the cake…read more 1) DON'T INSULT YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY AREN'T THERE I get there and the two "stylists" - TRISH & HANNAH decide to talk bad about a customer who went to see if another salon could take her in faster. As a result, they decided to not let her sign in and talked bad about her (AS A CUSTOMER, AND JUST AS A HUMAN BEING, WE DON'T NEED TO BE BAD MOUTHED). 2) THIS IS BLATANT FALSE ADVERTISING. They charge $13.95 & up. On the shampoo she asks "do you use conditioner?" so I say "yes". It turns out, it's a $2 charge because she put conditioner in my hair and didn't tell me it was extra. Apparently getting your hair clipped is another $1, a charge I was not informed about. ALL OTHER PLACES DO THIS FOR FREE OR WILL TELL YOU WHEN THERE IS A CHARGE. I was so upset, I didn't ask for a card and they were not remorseful for what they had done. I will go to the place across the way since they are fair and decent to their customers.
