So I called and spoke to Marcus and he sent me over to Jorge the adjuster he gave me a quote for auto insurance that would make you feel like it wasn't real and then I asked him to email the quote over to me so that once I got my vehicle I could go ahead and get my auto insurance he never sent it over to me. So I called back and now nobody knows Jorge or Marcus and they doubled my quote and then I asked if they were audio and video recorded they said no. Anyone who knows anything about this company knows it's all untrue!! Cost-U-Less Insurance doesn't have the customers best interest at heart... just their bottom line. Customer beware!! My daughter had problems with this company, they didn't bother to give her full coverage after her begging for 3 months, then she got into a accident, and they screwed get over, not helping her at all. Buyer Beware! Very very deceptive - their fees are ridiculously high and they are not refundable and they do not state them clearly upfront. I signed up for a policy, they sent me an Edoc while I was on the phone, and this document already had the initials and signature filled in by them and the prompt was simply Click here to Sign and then 'Next' multiple times. As you clicked 'Next' it simply inserted the prefilled initials and signature in on the form. They only told me the total down payment which I believe was $591 with no mention of fees, which I paid while still on the phone. The policy was only for about $220 a month, but the policy didn't meet our needs, so we cancelled after 6 days, but they appear to have charged over $300 in additional (Broker) fees - approx. a $267 Broker fee, $40 Doc fee I believe, which are both non-refundable. The actual insurance company (Aspire) charged a $50 cancellation fee when I did cancel which I am ok with, and they will refund the remaining premium, though with these fees from Cost-U-Less I am getting back only $152 out of $591 for 6 days insurance. And in return for all these fees they just seem to have passed the insurance request to Freeway insurance, a sister company. I don't mind reasonable fees, but the most I have ever paid is $35. Some states actually cap the broker fee at around $35, but apparently California Is the Wild West for broker fees. If it had been $50 fee and $50 to cancel that would have been fine, but the most concerning part to me is the Non-Disclosure of Fees upfront. If you are going to charge fees at this level you should be very clear and upfront and tell potential customers that if you take out this policy with us this is the cost of the fees we charge and not try to claim that they were disclosed in an unreadable Edoc, sent while you are on the phone. Additionally, they also were more than willing to issue the policy over the phone, but if you want to cancel you have to actually go to a physical office. I should have read their reviews before using them. (My replacement policy with a different broker had no broker fees.) read more

After multiple attempts to reach people in this office and being with them for several years I will be canceling my services through them. I was told over a month ago that I would receive a call back in regards to making changes to my policy. I have yet to receive a call and have been billed and absorbent amount of money on my current policy. The problem that I have is lack of communication and availability I was speaking with my original representing agent. "Misleading" and "Unprofessional" are the two words that describe this establishment. Let me begin by stating that Cost U Less Insurance (Both Riverside and Corona Locations, in affiliation to Freeway Insurance) have lead me to believe that many other potential customers have suffered to the same degree I have. My girlfriend and I provided all of our information to multiple broker/agents with Cost U Less Insurance over the last 2 weeks. When I say we provided ALL our information, I am including Vehicle History (including salvaged title, drivers licenses, VIN#'s, proof of insurance, etc). I explained to Angel (male) and Erik (Sales Manager at the Corona office) that I needed to get an accurate quote and that is why i was providing all information available. I confirmed the quote over a one week period which was $120 a month with no down payment for 2 vehicles. I explained that I don't want to be given another dollar amount when i get to the local corona office to sign all documentation for the new policy. I called erik 3 times two days prior to my appointment to confirm this $120 quote again. Again Erik said "Yes, that is the amount you will pay for the agreed upon rates, coverage, exceptions, exclusions, etc." I told him "I want to make sure this is the amount because i dont want to waste my time or yours". Erik again on 8/21/2015 confirmed yes $120 is the quote. My girlfriend and I drove both cars to Cost U Less insurance and were blown away by the misleading sales pitch of both Angel and Erik. We were told when we arrived that the down payment would be $398.00 and the monthly payment was now $199.00. I justifiably became upset because I was given a quote that i confirmed over and over and over with Erik and Angel. I immediately called Angel at the Riverside location in front of both Erik and another representative Grace. Angel then told me that "oh, its just a quote" I explained that we confirmed with him and Erik the amount was $120 firm. With no down payment. Angel began to backpedal and tell me that it can never be 100% accurate. I explained i understand that it will never be accurate unless all pertinent information is given and ran through the DMV. Angel then began to stutter and withdraw interest in continuing the conversation with me. I explained to Angel that i would not have come in again if I knew that this would happen. Erik became very quiet and disconnected from the conversation that was happening between Angel and I. During this very heated discussion about me being misled with Angel, Erik up and decides to leave for the day. WTF??? He is the sales manager. He also mentioned that "it was just a quote", i explained to Erik that i provided all the information required to get an accurate quote. I also called Erik 45 minutes before arriving to Cost U Less Insurance in Corona on 8/21/15 in order for him to start the paperwork. When i arrived at Cost U Less, Erik was not even in the office nor was he prepared to deal with a new policy. My girlfriend and I were assisted by Grace, the other broker. Grace was polite and understanding to this predicament. There were issues with the system these two brokers were using and Grace was on the phone with IT trying to resolve the system issues in order to assist us further. We then were given two more quotes because Grace had to call another manager or office in order for them to give us an exact quote. I highly recommend you chose another insurance broker for a new or revised policy. My girlfriend and I spent 3 hours at Cost U Less Insurance before giving up and going two doors down to another insurance company. I hope that any one reading this really understands that I am not a regular yelp reviewer nor do I feel that the slightest bit of poor service deserves public ridicule. However, Both Angel and Erik need some serious training on professionalism and customer service. read more
