A visit to Costco isn't a visit without a $1.50 plus sales tax regular hot dog or polish with sauerkraut and drink of your choice while waiting for tires. You can also go in the late afternoon and graze on the food samples, a good way to see what is new. You can now use a credit card at the food court. read more

*This review is based off of the management only* I encountered a problem yesterday when I purchased an LG 4K Ultra HD TV.. Now, let's not forget that I'm a frequent shopper here, and I most likely spend more than I need to, (don't we all?). Once I got home, set up my new tv, and turned it on, I realized that the screen on the inside of the tv was cracked! Obviously, my first instinct was to call the store, and the lady who picked up told me that she had returned that tv this morning, and it should have NOT been out on the floor. Ok, I get it, I just want the same tv. Shortly after, I pack the tv back up, and drove back. Now, I sat in an hour of traffic there and back because of construction, and I wanted to go back to this exact Costco, and let them know that they need to be more cautious of their returns. The lovely older woman at the return counter helped me, and was very accommodating, I wish I got her name, but I was too busy stressing out. I wanted to speak to the manager so they could be more alert and not let this happen to anyone else. I simply asked if I could pick out another TV with the same options, size, etc for the same price because the one I wanted now, (the tv I bought was the last one) wasn't probably more than $30 more than my tv I had just bought. The manager (Danielle) then tells me, "I can take $10 off"...that's when I lost it. Did you really just sell me a returned tv from your staff member, and you expect me to get over it with $10?! I still do not understand why they couldn't have given me another tv and override it after everything I went through. We then proceeded to involve the assistant manager (?), Anthony. WOW, this man was SO rude!! He came down, didn't even say a word to me, and just looked at me! Like??? What is your problem??? If you're a manager, you should have some communication skills, but this man just lacked SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE! I was standing there feeling as if I was begging him for something I paid for. Never did he ONCE greet me, smile, or talk to me without a "I'm better than you" tone of voice, and looked annoyed. I never once raised my voice until I came face to face with ANTHONY. IN THE MIDDLE OF TALKING TO HIM, HE TURNED AWAY AND LEFT! Sir, are you ok???? How did you even get up to become manager if this is how you treat your customers? I was so frustrated that he left in the middle of a conversation without resolving anything, so I'm just left standing there clueless, tv-less, and insulted. The lady who helped me with the return saw the look on my face, then talked to me, she was so calm and understanding. She even helped me resolve my problem, Anthony never came back down to apologize or anything. Without her, I probably would've went off on the management. Covington Costco needs to reevaluate their staff, and think twice about who should be in charge. People at the door were nicer than Anthony, maybe he should be a cashier instead, it wouldn't hurt to learn some communication skills... Or all of the other skills that he lacks. read more

I don't get it. We split our membership with a friend because we had our doubts. They were well founded. This is a great place if you're a gluttonous asshole who has no regard for other human people. I purchase a set of 4 on January 3, 2019 at the Covington Costco Tire Center. I had to wait 10 days for the tires to arrive I couldn't get an early appointment so I scheduled an appointment on January 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM. I get a call from the tire center two days before my appointment telling me if I don't make an appointment my tires will be sent back. I called back asking them what they were talking about when I had an appointment that Saturday. NO EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY, ONLY DID I ORDER THEM ONLINE WAS THE ONLY RESPONSE. THE ANSWER WAS NO, I PURCHASED THEM AT THE COVINGTON COSTCO TIRE CENTER. Costco lost there way and Customer Service when they got big. They lost what made Costco big, great customer service. I had not been to Costco for a couple months. I used to enjoy coming to this store. About a month ago, I was shopping and had approx $400 worth of groceries and impulse items. I had spent an hour roaming the aisles and picking up things that I never intended to purchase when I had walked into the store. As I made my way to the checkout I put my products on the belt. The cashier asked for my card...no big deal. As I am handing him my debit card, he tells me my Executive Card had expired. So I asked him if I could pay for my gear and renew my membership on my way out. He said no. I had to leave all of my merchandise and walk out of the store. I wrote a comment and have yet to hear from them. I am not saying not to shop here, but this is what happened to me. read more

The food in the food court is good and tasty, the place is clean and organized, but the staff are lacking in knowledge on product if you had a question for them, the tire shop staff are rude they don't make eye contact when talking to you and speed you on your way when you are not in a rush especially to get answers. The checkout people don't even greet you or ask how your day is going. That needs improvement. I know the work is tiring but still put a smile on your face as well as the customers. read more

If there where any way to give 10 starts to the optical dept I would! They where so great to work with recently when my husband lost his glasses in a accident. Pam in particular followed up very closely with me on getting them back from the factory. She really understood how terrible it was for him to go around without glasses on top of all his other injuries. We are fans for life! read more

This Costco has a great convenient location right off the 167 highway in the town of Covington. I still do some shopping across the lot at Fred Mayer. I give it 5* because its clean inside & out. Love this location. Their busiest times are still not super crowded like other places. The parking lot is laid out in such a way that parking anywhere is still not too far of a walk. Lots of space in each parking space, too. read more

My husband and I have been members of Costco for 15 years. We were ecstatic when Costco was built in Covington. Now we can shop at Costco every week if necessary. Costco employees are pleasant and helpful. Their Customer Service Department is always helpful. We trust them to provide good quality food and merchandise. read more

If I could give the Photo Center 0 stars, I would. I understand they have no control over when their equipment fails, however, I encounter the WORST customer service in this stores specialized departments. Their optical has a couple if ladies that are very curt and rude and horrible at making sure we are satisfied with our contacts and glasses. Their photo department is just as inept at making sure their customers are satisfied and taken care of when their equipment fails. And when I misplaced my phone (my fault!!!) and realize that I was the idiot that lost it, I couldn't even get a front end supervisor to look me in the eyes to try and help. She was more concerned with talking to another employee about her weekend. read more

Yay! It is Costco! I love this place. Staff is so friendly, store is so clean, and prices are always great. Plus, they have that rotating selection of goods that makes it fun to poke your head in here once in a while. One question though. Why do I have to show a membership card to get in the store if I can't go through checkout without one either? That does not make sense. read more

*Updated review* I am taking one star away because nothing has changed and its been a year, Fail. Check lines are slow now that they don't have self checkout. Food court is also slow and they don't have a system down for picking up food. 4 people waiting to pick up food and other people can just cut in front? Costco is the most hippest happening place in Covington! Sometimes my husband and I go there for date night and split a Hot Dog and Pepsi at the fancy Cafe 1.50! Cheapest dinner in town. The rotisserie chicken for 4.99 is Gigantic and lasts for days. I like the layout of this Costco the best. This is where most of my hard earned money goes. read more

If you don't mind long lines and people hovering for a free sample, this is the place to go. Costco is amazing. Really though - the lines are long but they go quick, lots of registers. Huge parking lot, also has a Costco gas center. Easy to find and access off of Hwy 18 in Covington, also lot's around the store to do and eat. Friendly staff, lots to look at (duh, it's Costco). Make sure you come for lunch, the samples are so worth it. They have all kinds of different things, and you can easily find the item you are trying cause it is usually stocked right next to where you get the sample. You might have to be a little assertive to get a sample though, normal people grab one a move so the next person can take one, but some people like to be dumb and stand right in front so nobody else can get one, even better when they park their carts right there and have their five children going for their second or third serving before you get your first. Rude. They have everything from TVs, computers, vacuums, wine, produce, meats of all sorts, ready to bake dinners, and then as much bulk food as you can ever need. I swoop up a couple huge jugs of apple juice and these delicious ready to eat pinwheel sandwiches every time I come in. Usually pretty busy on the weekends (but the samples are the best then!) Come in during the Holidays and do basically all your shopping - there are toys, games, dvd's, clothing (seahawks sweatshirts and t-shirts!), camping supply, wine!!, gift sets and more! The staff is super nice, always willing to help you find something, or help you get your cart to your car. Well, except sometimes the ladies at the front door are very rude about "where's your Costco card, you can't come in without your card" so be prepared if you send your kid in late, or your husband is joining you after you're inside, they will hassle you. They've literally made me wait until someone from my family came to the door like...seriously. If you are hungry checking out, they have a little pizza place up front. The berry smoothie is amazing. It's cheap food, pizza slices are huge. Pick up a full one to take to-go to bring home after a long shopping trip. Just wanted to give a special shout out about last night - my family and I came into the Verizon to get new phones and were there a bit after closing. I, having the attention of a goldfish, ended up wandering to the TV area to find something to watch since we would be there a few hours. Frozen was on with the volume cranked up, but when I discovered Star Trek was on the TV next to it - I camped. I sat on the floor and watched. One of the guys in the TV section came over, turned off Frozen, and turned up the volume on Star Trek. You sir can be my new best friend - thank you. Speaking of phones, if you need help in the wireless center, speak with Antonio - he is SO nice and SO helpful and will walk you through everything with a smile on his face. Just a basic Costco. Good food court, friendly staff. I've been here hundreds of times, never had a bad experience. You need a membership to shop here, but they give you back 2% of what you spend at the end of the year; my family always ends up making more money than we spent on the membership. read more

Visited my parents for mothers day and we stopped by this costco close to their home. This is a pretty new location, very clean and well organized. Like the other reviewers stated this place has awesome parking and its not very crowded. The selection is just the same as any other location. If I lived closer to here this would be my go to shopping destination. read more

This Is one of the best Costco stores, compared to the Tukwila or Federal Way locations. It isn't as busy, parking is easier to find and since the store is much newer it's still relatively clean. It's not as large and sometines they don't have certain items other stores might, but this is a minor nitpick. Also, for some reason the tax rate is only 8.6% here, as opposed to 9.5% at other King County Costcos; I'm not sure why, but that helps you save even more. read more
