I made eight purchases at Nordstrom Rack in Tukwila. I returned the Clinique products because I found out my clients. Daughter has acne and had a different product for her to use. I made the return within a few days. I also checked the receipt for any restrictions since the rack appears to be different on their return policy than the regular store. When I was making the return, the cashier told me they could not return beauty products. I explained to them I checked the receipt and it did not state. The clinic not eligible for a return. He said it's on the receipt from the register. I explained to him I did not get that receipt; it emailed to me. I asked that he print off what it states on the back of the receipt from the register. It was the same verbiage as onlineand did not indicate beauty products are non-returnable. He had the manager come over. She didn't have a friendly demeanor. She was a little combative me I could not return and I told her from a legal perspective it needs to be indicated on the receipt. she tried arguing with me stating it was, and I had her look at it and she said oh we need to update it to what is on the register receipt. I pointed out to her that that register receipt does not indicate as well. Instead of acknowledging there is anerror that they need to fix, she told me she will do the return as a one time courtesy. I explained to her until they update their receipts on the policy, they're obligated to give a return on beauty products since it doesn't state otherwise. And, people will be going off of the return that Nordstrom's store has where you can get a refund on beauty products. Her demeanor could have been a lot more polished! The cashier was super nice and apologetic; however, she was not! Bottom line, they need to update their receipts if they are holding customers accountable to that verbiage. read more

Thought I was in a Ross with how miserable it was shopping in these conditions. Couldn't stay in here longer than 10 minutes. There were clothes everywhere. Hangers crammed on the racks. Messes everywhere. People everywhere. Long busy lines at checkout. Shoes all mixed matched and not in the right box. And note, don't go into the shoe department until you're up for a shoe scavenger hunt. When we got through the jungle of clothes, we found ourselves in the back at the shoe department. We thought to maybe try looking for a new pair of work shoes. However, when my man spotted a brown loafer that matches his size, style and fit, we couldn't find it's pair. The other shoe to this pair was lost in the Nordstrom Rack abyss. "Where's the other shoe?" and, "just my luck" were repeated so many times I lost count. I'd have to give this place another shot when it's not busy, not flooded with messes, and the employees aren't too occupied. Anyone know when that is? read more

Not too shabby. This Nordstrom Rack is located in Tukwila in a business strip with many other shops and some eateries. It's in a popular shopping area, yet parking is easily available with a large lot. I've visited here if in the area, just to browse and see what treasures I may be able to find. Like all Nordstrom Racks, they all differ, specifically the selection. The selection here is not bad, yet not the best. Compared to other rack locations in the area, this one isn't my favorite, as the selection isn't as much as my preferred location. This rack has always been generally pretty organized and clean. Staff were nice enough and I'm just glad that they are dog-friendly! I would shop here if in the area, as with all rack locations, it's hit and miss. read more

I love Nordstrom and have been a loyal customer for many many years. Just didn't get the hallmark of customer service from this particular location. I used to live in Bellevue Washington and moved to Arizona about a year ago. I was in town recently and needed some items so decided to stop by on my way in from the airport. As much as I enjoyed the different and large selections, I was not impressed with the service I received from Shanda J. I didn't have my card with me so I asked her to look it up. She did then asked me for my ID which I was expecting... normal procedure. She asked how come I have two accounts? Asked for my ID again. Asked if she could combine the two accounts. I said that's impossible. I only have one account. Asked for my ID again. 20 minutes. Finally asked a supervisor (?). Supervisor asked me for my ID again. I asked how many times do you need to see my ID!? Why not just hold on to it? Then told Shanda that I only have one account. My transaction took almost 30 minutes long. When asked why... I was told because I am out of state! Really? What difference does that makes? On top of that she charged me the wrong price. I found this out when I had to return the item at the Factoría location. And by the way, it took them less than 5 minutes to locate my one account. Needless to say, I am glad I don't have to go back to this location. Train your employees better. read more

I needed to pick up some socks and saw this Nordstrom Rack off of Southcenter Parkway. Parking lot was crowded and there were lots of shoppers in the store. The staff on the main floor weren't very welcoming but it didn't matter since I knew exactly where to go. The restroom was very clean and the prices and selection was very decent. The wait for a cashier was long but the one I had was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a decent experience when stopping in on a whim. Real Ross / TJ MAXX vibe in here (no shade to those stores) but if you're looking for a well organized & pleasant shopping experience, this is not it. Poor selection and even worse customer service. I was basically disregarded and barked at during a return and on another occasion completely ignored to get a fitting room. Other times the fitting room was nightmare and the workers seem consistently grumpy and confused as to why you may be asking for... anything. Unusual for a company that prides itself on service. Better off going to Value Village down the street, at least the prices make sense there. read more

Great location and easy parking! If I am doing an airport run, this is a must go-to-stop. Of the Nordstrom Rack's in the Seattle area this is probably one of the consistently busiest. I have been here during the day, night, weekday, weekend, and it is always chock full of shoppers. This store always maintains good inventory and despite it being busy they manage to keep the store running smoothly and have happy customers. I don't frequent this area as much as I did when a friend lived close to this area, but selection has always been good to me when I have visited. From phone accessories to formal dresses, they really have it all in this store. If the checkout line is busy, don't hesitate to track down a person in green with a mobile checkout device. He or she will get you out of there in no time! read more

I have been to some gnarly locations before, clothes in tangled piles, customers fighting and pulling garments back and forth while spitting foam out of their mouths, but this location is the picture of civility, kind of what Nordstrom is known for, an antiseptic prettiness that promises good bargains without bloodshed. I was just looking for a candle or other hostess-worthy gift and was drawn to the neat racks of discount designer duds, beckoning me with their crooked middle finger, "we have your size, we have it in 15 colors and it's only $15," and before I knew it I had succumbed, succumbed to the sale insanity. But really, it's well-stocked, orderly and organized, and the staff will actually help you, when you can find them. read more

The cleaners ruined a bunch of dress shirts so I had to at the last minute head to Southcenter to stock up. But I'll be dammed, the friggin' Southcenter parking lot was full! No parking on a gorgeous Sunday? WTF are people doing at the mall on one of our few nice weekends? Wait a second, what was I doing there ... Anyway, I was also kind of in the mood for a taste of Western Canadian culture, so I went over to Nordy Rack. And oh boy was there a lot of BC licences plates in the parking lot! But very few mullets and acid wash.... For dress clothes its a pretty limited selection for obvious reasons. I don't read GQ or MJ, so I'm hesitant about buying any dress clothes at the Rack that are not white shirts or black / grey / navy slacks. Who knows what will happen to me If I wear the wrong shade of blue or an off pattern of stripes. For these basics, the Rack will have you covered. Located in the rear of Southcenter's latest development, it's pretty solid with broad customer base. The afternoon I swung by it was rather busy but didn't appear as though a wind storm went through the aisles and walkways (well, maybe above ground). I shopped for some running/joggin/multi-purpose shoes. While the selection isn't quite that great, I did manage to find some neat comfy ones. I think maybe once someone asked how I was doing, maybe not. When I got in line, though, it got backed up and some "mobile cashiers" came to the rescue. I was called off to the side, swiped my card on the mobile device, et voila! The facade and parking area is rather nice. read more

LP (loss prevention) dude sucks. NEVER fails to follow my boyfriend and I around or blatantly goes and walks over to the door in the dept where the handbags are even tho there are already a significant amount of women and men in that area. Funny how the LP followed my boyfriend around while an older lady was stuffing jewelry in her cart and sneaking it into her bag. Their other LP associates who are suppose to look like regular shoppers aren't that great either (way too obvious) and maybe that's their "technique" . Maybe they want to "scare" you into not potentially steal anything but someone who has given this company a lot of my time and money it just makes me want to get in and out which is bad for business. I would prefer to enjoy my time off from mommy mode to splurge during clear the rack but with observing LP and how they operate when my boyfriend is in the store makes me so enraged I just end up putting my stuff back and leaving . I have been able to find lots of great deals on designer jeans, evening dresses, shoes, accessories and my favorite Kate Spade purse was a steal at this Rack. I really love the Rack. This location is nice and clean and almost everything is organized - it will never always be organized because of the large amount of customers digging through the purses, shoes and clothes nonstop. I got great customer service from an employee carrying her purse when I asked to look at a watch. I realized right after I asked that she was probably on her way to break. When I asked if someone else could help so she could go, she said it wasn't a problem and was genuinely happy to open the watch case for me and not be in a rush. A few other employees offered to help me when I was looking at clothes, and the cashier was friendly too. I've been to this location a few times. They have a great section in the middle of the store for women's and misses clothing on clearance that is always revolving. This time it was up to 70% off their already slashed prices. I found some great deals like a $8 sequin tank. Huge parking lot which is free and next to other good stores and near the mall. Great location. read more

I am not an avid clothing shopper and while I am fond of Nordstrom, I am not overly fond of Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack is located in a nice shopping complex in Tukwila. There is plenty of parking, and lots to see and dine. It is a newer complex and it has the mass produced vibe as many of the newer shopping complexes have. Nice, but cookie cutter beige. Norstrom Rack has a great deal of selection all lumped together. Racks and racks of disjointed clothing choices, shoes, and accessories clutter the aisles. It has some resemblance of order, but only enough to guide the uncertain shopper to the general direction of what one may be looking for. It is organized chaos at best. If someone is certain about what they want, or at least certain about what type of clothing one wants, then Nordstrom Rack may be suited for them. I can see the bargain hunter enjoying the challenge of sorting through the mismatch of shirts to find that stellar find. For those of us who want precision, this is not the place to find it. Employees are fairly nonexistent, except for those who man the cash registers. read more

So I love Nordstrom Rack everywhere. Every week it's like new items comes pants, tops, shoes oh my. The hand held pay stations save us so much time waiting in long lines. Wish they had more employees and stations that can do that. There are several "husband/boyfriend" chairs by the doors, changing rooms and scattered throughout. In my mind this Nordstrom is the friendliest and next to Petco saving me from going to different shopping centers. read more

I wore a face shield that covered my entire face and was told that it wasn't "good enough." Ridiculous.

I thought it would be sly to come here because it could be less picked-over in their designer items and it turns out that they don't cary many of them. The handbags that were locked up were the ilk of what the Bellevue locations have without locks. The designer shoe selection in the small sizes had meager offerings and I swear it smelled like feces in that section of the store. I found myself trying to figure out where the smell was coming from and also being afraid for if I actually figured it out. I found a handful of high end designer sunglasses (my hands are tiny). Also, the Free People Rack of clothes was so small that it could fit in my son's high school gym locker. I had to do some relaxation/breathing exercises whilst being in this store bc I found myself scowling and I don't need more wrinkles. On the bright side it's across the street from a mattress store and an urgent care so if I got sick from the exhaustion of searching for something of interest I could get some quick rest and aid. The store was clean (aside from that smell) and I am a fan of The Rack and I'll come back to this location when I'm not looking for designer niche items. read more

They have a great selection and friendly staff, but need more security roaming throughout the store. I saw two women almost beat up another woman just bc she wanted to pass by them in the shoe aisle. Sometimes this place is a gold mine. You can walk in, cruise through the racks and find tons of stuff that is a steal of a deal and it's all a dream fit in the dressing room, other times, you can go in and dig through the racks for hours and find nothing. The store is large, well stocked- sometimes too well and it's too hard to get to what you want to look at without a 'Ross' style effort. The employees are friendly enough although it's a simliar downgrade from Nordstroms to here as far as customer service's level of professionalism and slight air of apathy replacing the uber friendly to a fault Nordy's signature service. The kids shoe section is one that is very 'jungle like' and can take hours to find the proper size/style, the women's shoe department during a sale is about the same. Still, overall, the prices combined with quality here is a solid 4 stars in my book. read more

Nordstrom Rack, supplying every Asian woman with Se7en Jeans!! I don't know what it is, but I see a lot of Asian women bringing their Nordstrom Rack bag with a few pair of Se7en jeans to my mom's alteration shop. No biggie, it helps us to have more business! The store here is somewhat "new" to the area, just a couple years old now I believe. The location is decent and with the added lights on Southcenter Parkway, it's easier to get into the complex. As most have said, this one is pretty well kept versus Downtown Seattle and Factoria. Nordstrom Rack carries most of the brands found at the main Nordstrom store, but at a discounted price. Some items are B-grades and some items are things that couldn't be sold at the main store. Lots of varieties and definitely some rarities. You never know what you mind find!! I'd say it's nice to come here to look for designer jeans and shoes. I've scored a few good buys. I'll continue to come as long as they're open in the area. read more

In my search to find the BB Dakota jacket I picked up the other day in my *correct* size, we came down to Tukwila's Rack. Oh man, all these years, I thought I had known true love as I traveled to downtown Seattle to visit the Rack. That Rack? It was puppy love. This Rack? This is real, let's walk down the aisle, I can't imagine my life without you love. Why must you be so far away?! Organized, with lovely staff members and a great selection. It took far too much to resist the lovely watch display at the front of the store. The shoe section? No need to search because everything is where it should be. Like Payless Shoe Source... but classy. And I found the jackets in my size. One in blue, one in green. Now I own three of the same jacket. There is something wrong with me. Wow! I have never been to a more organized and clean Rack! We were suit shopping for JP and had already hit up the downtown Rack with no success. We were heading south for another errand and popped in when we saw there was a Rack....so glad we did...their suit selection was spectacular! We walked out with a gorgeous black Hugo Boss suit, although ended up returning it a couple days later when JP decided he wanted to wear navy for the wedding. I was nervous that we wouldn't find a suit as nice as the black Hugo Boss but he tried on a few different navy suits and found one that he loved. Also, customer service was outstanding! The sales lady in the men's department went out of her way to search for a navy Hugo Boss (we needed a different size) and even called and checked with a couple other locations. I recall a time when I was looking for a winter coat at the downtown Rack and the sales person was told they couldn't help me track down the size, I was on my own, but that wasn't our experience at the Southcenter location. I almost didn't want to write this review so we could keep this Rack our little secret, but our experience was too good not to share it with others. read more

I'm not big on shopping - I only go if I absolutely need something. But one thing I don't typically turn down is a good deal. Nordstrom Rack in Tukwila is one of my favorite spots to find a good deal. The biggest reason is of all the NRs out there, this is by far the most organized one. Clothes are never in heaps, sizes are in proper places, and shoes are easy to find. They have a great selection of men's accessories as well: belts, suspenders, cuff links, neck ties, and even bow ties and handkerchiefs. The one down side is that they don't seem to have a HUGE selection of items like other locations but to not have to dig through piles of clothes to find something you like only to find that it doesn't fit - is worth picking out of less selection. read more

I'm not a huge Nordstrom Rack fan but what I do like here is jeans, work out clothes and underware. Excellent place for those items...Oh, they also sell Kerastase slightly less expensive than the regular Nordstrom or Gene Juarez, it saves a few dollars so it's good to me. If you've never been to an outlet type store-there isn't much service it's sort of a free for all but they have some designer clothes at a huge discount. Last point, this place gets CRAZY busy sometimes. I've ntoiced if you go Sunday morning when they first open it's not so busy, Saturday mornings are also a good time to go, otherwise, the check out line gets pretty long. read more
