Stopped by the Nordstrom at Southcenter Mall to shop for a pair of sandals. The store is easy to get to with two outdoor entrances, one entrance from inside the mall, and plenty of nearby parking. It's a three-level store that feels clean, organized, and easy to navigate. I also appreciated how clean the restroom was, which is always a nice touch during a shopping trip. The overall experience was efficient, and I think it's easy enough for a first-time visitor to find their way around. The men's shoe department employees could have been a bit friendlier, as the service felt somewhat reserved. My biggest disappointment was the selection, especially for sandals, which was noticeably smaller than what I've seen at the Downtown Seattle and Bellevue Nordstrom locations. It works well if you're already at Southcenter, but I personally wouldn't make a trip here specifically for shoe shopping. Large parking lot easily located right off by five between Seattle and Tacoma but received the worst bougie customer service in the shoe department. Absolutely will not return there. Plus they had a poor quality. I went in there looking for hunters and UGGs and they had a very poor quality as well as a poor attitude for the manager, as well as the shoe salesman. I definitely will not go back there. Matter of fact, I'll spend my money at a whole different store. They've just lost a long time customer and this isn't the first time I've gotten bad service from them. It seems to be getting worse and worse every year. read more

Solid place for your high end clothing needs. Took my wife here for a Chanel perfume and it was amazing. It did take awhile to get some service since they were quite busier was for the Holidays but we did get some great service when the staff was present. read more

Went into Nordstrom last week, during the anniversary sale around 6:45pm on Wednesday. We went to the MAC counter hoping to get a free sample they were advertising plus pickup some new product. 7/24/26 somewhere between 3 and 3:45ish an oblivious shoe clerk was rudely not helping me in shoes. She wanted to argue what black was, dismissive of my questions, walked away instead of trying to help me find something else. Just resumed her position with another then they both stared at me as I walked around trying to find sandals. No suggestions, no help. Just staring at me. Last time I went a few weeks ago a young man followed me around the entire time I looked, never once offering help but instead looking away when I looked at him. Is it that I am older? What is it? Also, on that trip I had to interrupt two young women in lingerie to ask if they had plain cotton underwear. One looked clueless and the other slowly said well I think all our underwear is plain. She said it as though she was sooooo bored but too busy to bother with my question. I said "no, I mean just cotton, no nylon or polyester" Her response, oh. No. She turned away. I did manage to buy a cashmere sweater today that i wasnt allowed to buy a week earlier because it was waiting for an anniversary sale the next day. But even finally being allowed to buy the 132.00 sweater took many tries on the clerks behalf because I didn't have my Nordstrom card. It wasn't a problem 10 days earlier but now it was. I offered my phone number (worked last time), my drivers license, my receipt from another department. Finally I was allowed to buy the sweater. The only normal helpful experience I had was a woman from corporate who was helping for the day? She heard me asking where to find the sweater i wasnt allowed to buy a week earlier and she immediately said she would walk me over and show me. Finally! That is the attitude i used to receive. It is just not worth going to Nordstrom any longer. I am not going to be made to feel I am putting people out and disrespected. read more

One of my go to department stores at South Center Mall (Westfield shopping center). Most of the workers I've ever came across are always so friendly and polite. The store is nicely organized and helps make shopping a bit more easier. The other thing that makes this place great is their return policy. Always keeping their customer satisfied and it helps make it easy to return something you are not happy with. read more

Even though I really do enjoy the quality of Nordstrom, I will not be purchasing items online again. I put in the address where I want the item to be sent, but invariably the gift arrives to my home. I walked in and was not greeted by employees like many other shoppers were. This was not a big deal- I prefer shopping undisturbed- but it was a bit odd. I was browsing the shoe section and noticed one employee was following and staring at me. Not once did she say hello or ask if I needed any help- instead she continued to follow me throughout the entire first floor until I was fed up and left. I understand that teenage girls shoplift more than other demographics- but to be treated differently than other customers based on my age/appearance was incredibly upsetting and wrong. read more

Jason who works in Men's clothing did a great job. There was an AllSaints shirt I had seen a couple weeks back and when I went in to buy it; I couldn't find it anywhere. I was getting ready to give up but, Jason offered me some help. I told him what I was looking for and he actually had it but in a larger size. I loved it but wasn't willing to go up a size. Bellevue Nordstrom is closest to me so, he checked their inventory and grabbed the last one they had. It'll be ready to pick up tomorrow. He's a good sales person, he was chill, he knew his inventory, offered similar alternatives to consider; when it came down to it, he got me what I wanted. The ladies at the perfume counter were a little pretentious and their attitude was a bit off-putting. I came in for a specific perfume I had tried a few weeks prior but left empty handed. It was pricey and I wanted to make sure I loved it before I spent another $3-400 on a perfume I couldn't use (I learned that the hard way). I wanted to smell the scent again before I purchased but it seemed like they didn't think I could afford it and suggested a few Tori Burch scents. Tbh, I'm not a Tori Burch fan - not in scents and not in clothes but I was polite. Next time, I'll stick with the Bellevue store. read more

Wow, just wow! Nordstrom knows how to create a 5-star shopping experience every time! I was shopping solo and needed help as I've recently turned a mile-marker birthday and my body isn't the same as my youthful years, so my clothes aren't fitting the same (read: I've gained weight and need a better wardrobe for work). I found an associate (Antaknea) who seemed super kind and easy to approach and asked for help as I wasn't sure if I was shopping in the right section. Is it okay for 50-year-olds to be shopping in the teen-section for work attire? As a high school teacher I need to wear cool and hip clothes, but professional and not revealing, for obvious reasons. She guided me and then I got to the dressing room where she continued to personally shop and bring me items. I ended up with an entire wardrobe (8 items) she'd selected (7!!) where I could mix-and-match all within my budget. It was incredible!! With the half-yearly sale, I saved a ton on all of the items except the 1 I'd chosen!! The fabrics of items are so soft and comfortable, I can't wait to get back to work and that's the best part, as who wants to go to work? The entire experience was A++! Excellent customer service. We went in to do some online returns. The line was long (two guests had large piles of returns). While we were waiting associates came over to help people with returns in another location. Our associate was friendly and we were done within minutes. Super friendly and helpful. Today I came in to Nordstrom to exchange a perfume I bought for myself. The sales rep was extremely helpful in finding a fragrance I'd like by the same brand (Tom Ford). She presented me with the fragrance that was three times the price. She said that they don't carry a smaller size of the one I wanted. And, because I did not have the receipt, I could not exchange it. I understand having a more stringent policy for returns than before but, this is a one eighty change. Nordstrom has always been known for their generous return policies and next level customer service. I just didn't feel that today. I knew the exact moment I purchased it. They could have looked it up in the register, but, instead let me leave defeated and feeling judged. I don't believe I'll be going back. I've been shopping here for going on forty years. I find that the selection here is limited compared to their Bellevue location but they're great when you need your essentials like moisturizer and such. The folks working here are friendly without overbearing. I live close by so I would continue visiting this location. read more

Taking a moment to praise "Sarah" in the TBD department of Nordstrom Southcenter. Saturday June 15th, I made a hurried trip to the mall to grab a few things for a special occasion and had the good fortune to meet Sarah. She greeted me with a big smile and asked how she could help. I quickly amassed some items to try on and she ushered me to the fitting room. I was pressed for time and while some of the tops worked out, I was still hoping to find a great pair of jeans. I shared I was in a rush and Sarah went about grabbing all the potential options that fit my criteria. I ended up with a great pair of Mother jeans I would have missed without Sarah's help. She whisked me to the register to finish the checkout, still smiling. It soon became very clear that Sarah was alone in her department (the queue was building behind me at the register). Sarah smiled on as she got the attention of someone in the department next door to start helping the other guests. All this to say, Sarah was super helpful, had the best attitude - even though it was clearly a stressful day. Kudos to her for making my day (and making me look like a million bucks for my date!). read more

My whole family has been very loyal customers to Nordstrom for decades and I've always had nothing but positive experiences. However, today I had a very disappointing and terrible experience. My girlfriend and I do a lot of shopping at Nordstrom and we usually go to the Bellevue or Downtown locations and have Debbie help us. every time we go shopping we are greeted immediately and someone helps us pick out items and then we go into the fitting room together and have a great time choosing new outfits together. today we went to the south center location for the first time, and after walking around for at least 20-30 minutes without being greeted or asked if we needed any help (disappointing but whatever) when picked out a few things and went to the dressing room about two minutes into trying some clothes on an extremely rude lady shouted through the door that there can't be a male and female in the same fitting room and that "she" (my girlfriend) needs to get out NOW. i responded saying ok she's coming out now and my gf started getting dressed. not even 15 seconds later the same woman came back in even more aggressive and screamed "you have to get out RIGHT NOW come on go!" and when my girlfriend exited she looked her up and down giving her a dirty look and my girlfriend said nothing and waited for me to come out. we decided to just leave after that because we felt unwelcome and it was just a way too aggressive and disrespectful way to be talked to as a customer. I understand if men and women can't be in the same dressing room but I've never experienced that rule at another location and never have ever been treated so rudely by literally any other retail employee. especially since we were complying right away. They get an F from me. read more

Unfortunately, they don't carry designer brand items here. Only Bellevue and Factoría is what I was told that carries designer brand clothing. It's an okay Nordstrom. Not a lot of employees bombarding you at once, but I wish they carried designer branded items. read more

BP Dept get it together, when Shopn Customers will ask to try things on. Two Sales Reps in the BP Dept standing behind the counter and I asked if it was ok to try on a pair of $15 sunglasses and I got the Deer in Headlights stare so I asked if she heard my question...........? Only for her to look over at the other girl and neither answer. This is very rude but it's ok I left the store walking away with NO Purchase, I have never had such rude service at a Nordstrom's. My comment is to give my 5-stars for a fantastic sales person - Yen at store #5 Southcenter. She works in the makeup section on the main floor. I went into the store to get this specific mascara and met Yen. She looked through the drawers but couldn't find it and said they must be out. I was very disappointed and went on to do a quick walk about. I was on the 2nd floor when she ran up to me very excited to share she was able to find a tube! I was soooo too thankful and IMPRESSED with her sales effort and enthusiasm. She went dashing around the store looking for me - I haven't experienced such great service ANYWHERE in so long! WOWOW!!! She is a superstar! I have been trying to give this GREAT comment on the Nordstrom website but this doesn't seem to be an area to leave such comments. Oh man. What happened? You guys were doing so well staff wise until recently. The customer service is lacking again...big time! The last few times I've picked up orders (both curbside and in store) I've encountered more rude sales associates/staff members than I have friendly ones. So very disappointing. Especially disappointing are the sales associates/staff members that look down on you based on the clothes you wear or the type of car you drive. I hope you guys start training your sales associates/staff members better. I wanted to give them 1 star but decided on 2 stars only because I remember there was a young man and a young lady that works there and they were very helpful, friendly, and kind. Came to Nordstrom for some early holiday shopping, when I was looking at the jewelry none of these three associates greeted me or my family. We came to this section twice both times they did look over at us but did not even say "hi". Very disappointed because all they were talking about is seeing something on someone's Instagram story gossiping about a fellow coworker. I come to Nordstrom for the excellent customer service since they all work on commission but there was no way I was going to grab their attention and give them that commission. I think this is the 5th Nordstrom ever. The outside is definitely dated. But it is a three story Nordstrom and I love that they had a home section. I love home sections in Nordstrom so much. It makes me a little sad that my go to Nordstrom doesn't have a home section. All the workers in the home section are very sweet and friendly. They greeted me the moment they saw me and asked if I needed help throughout the time I was there. This store has a lot of sampling and I thought it was really cool that they had a juice bar and and snack bar with macaroons and other desserts. While leaving, I saw that they had designated parking spaces for buy online pick up in store purchases. That's great, for those who do not want to do their curbside pick up. read more

The quality brands on Nordstroms make it worth shopping here. I buy lots of imported brands and european styles that I really enjoy. However, the customer service wasn't as attentive as I normally get other locations, but also the Credit Card made it complicated to pay at the register with cards necessary at the point of payment or else they put on the phone with a customer service stranger asking for your personal information in front of even more strangers: cashiers and shoppers. For those reason, I cancelled my card and stopped shopping at Nordstroms all together. But if you like fashion forward clothing, then this store is the best there can be. read more

I used to love to shop at ND, whenever i need to find something, ND ALWAYS the first place i check out stuffs. But things got worse since couple years ago, i noticed the stuffs there aren't very nice, not really professional, and they are super arrogant, i started to feel stressful when i shop at ND. Today, i decided to say something. This is the most stressful pick up I ever had in Nordstrom. I order one pair of shoes at the Tukwila store, after I paid, I found another color I like. So I place another order and wanted to cancel the first order. I called the pick up service department at the store but I was told that I can't cancel the order by phone, I have to tell the person who hand me the shoes. I clicked " I am on my way" and I went there and wanted to pick up my shoes. I waited at the pickup area for more than 5 min and also had called couple times letting them know that I was here. the lady came out and told me that my order was canceled. I never cancel my order. She said I can place another order if I want that shoes. So I placed another one pair... and they letting me waited there for half hour and the shoes still not ready. So I had to go home since I have two little one with me. That's why I barely shopping at the ND any more because of the crappy service and the staffs there is not really nice. I am shopping at Neiman Marcus instead. Soon I will be cancel my ND card and I WOULD NOT shop at ND any more. Update: i still not seeing my order was ready, now its 9:45 pm and i placed the order at 1pm.. called customer service and got my account cancelled, say bye forever to ND. Stopped in to try and find a specific Seahawks zip-up, but they didn't have it... The employee who we asked about it said she didn't mind checking other stores for us, but we told her that was okay. Love this Nordies! I'm so shocked to read some of the recent reviews for this location. I used to be pretty regular about coming here for my monthly needs, but since Northgate finally opened its garage I've been going there for the ease of parking and a smaller store that is closer to where I live. When I did frequent this location I never had any issues. I did a lot of alterations and exchanges at the rail checkout counter and got help in the accessories department on several occasions. I have always been treated well here, just as I have at all Nordstroms across the country. The only department I haven't purchased from in a long time is shoes, so I can't speak to that department. Every other department has been full of helpful and kind staff. read more
