I believe there is no other place to gas up regarding price, convenience, courtesy and the quality of the gasoline. I've always used Mobile gas in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler until I switched over to COSTCO gas. My Jeep seems to be running better and getting better mileage. I love the way the pumps are set up to let you know if a pump is available. It really shortens waiting time in line. The attendants are very courteous and helpful, especially if you hang a handicap placard. Unlike other gas stations, COSTCO placed covering over their pumps to keep you protected from rain or sunshine. (Maybe they can come up with something to keep us protected from the freezing winds during winter). read more

There was a long time when I avoided this Costco gas station like Covid-19 even though the prices were better than nearby gas stations! The lines were horrible and it zig-zagged across a large portion of the parking lot. WELL, not anymore! Costco finally relocated it to the side of the building and put 4 pumps on each lane and there's 10 lanes (might be 8, I'll count the next time I'm there). The three times I've been here there hasn't been a long line of cars to fill up, so it was an easy 5-10 minutes then all done! Prices are still great and lower than surrounding gas stations. And, when you're waiting, you can see when a pump is available by the green gas station icon near the top of each lane, which is very helpful (Some people still don't use the icons though). They have one of the cheapest gas prices compared to other gas stations. The wait was much longer than expected. That's pretty normal. Just need to be patient. Very disappointed. I had been using Costco gasoline for over two years, exclusively. I had to have my fuel ejection replaced in my. Vehicle, costing me $2000 in repair costs. The dealership told me it was due to contaminated gasoline. I filed an incident report with Costco right away and never heard back from them. First time coming to this gas station after the rebuilding/relocation/renovation of Costco this past year. I drove in early on a Sunday morning to beat the crowd, and it was nice. Such a nice renovation after moving from near the streets (next to America's Tires) to the inner empty parking lot. The lines used to be out the streets and now it's way more spacious and efficient with multiple rows. It also has the green/red light notifications on top showing which spot or lane is empty. My 1313 review of Yelp is this Costco gas location, not an ideal place to go especially right before closing time on a Saturday, everyone just rushing to get gas, their setup was pretty bad, you have to make a long trip to turn back into the main gas station entrance, you can not turn left if you're on the opposite side of this entrance lane, and the line was too long, but bottleneck was right when you make that turn, the station was also small, I counted 2 pumps on each side of the pillar, and they have 3 pillars, so the total of gas pumps came out to be 12, not only that but they don't have the display to show which pump was not occupied, and finally the gas price wasn't any cheaper than others. So folks, maybe you don't have any other Costco nearby that you have to get your tank filled here, except if you have other options, then maybe not read more

There's always a line to get gas at Costco but it's a great value and the wait isn't too terrible. They constantly have the lowest price so I try to go here if I need to fill up my tank. The entrance can be a little confusing if it's your first time but even then the signage is clear and the line is orderly. You can choose any gas station because their pumps are long enough to go around your car. If you go towards the end of the day you can enter until closing time. Then an attended closes the station with safety cones so as long as you're in line before that you'll get your gas. You need to put in your Costco membership card and then your credit card. read more

As per my check in status, being in this line was incurring 1000 points of psychic damage each second I was there. I have been to other Costco gas stations where it was not this much of a mess. You can turn in from one lane on the right side, but the you have BOZOS who are trying to make the left turn in when people on the other side are turning in from the right side of the street. Causing a massive clusterfuck that goes not only into the intersection, but blocks up the line up on the right side and for anyone even trying to enter that plaza. There were people managing the lines, but only when you are close to the filling stations. All the way in front it was a mess. There's another stop sign intersection into the plaza for the Costco line where there's a KEEP CLEAR. Of course no one was keeping clear AND people were using both the keep clear area and the stop signs to cut the people who were ALREADY waiting in line. Later on the line diverges into 2 and you can go on either side. Had some buffoon decide last minute he wanted to go to the right and he turbo cut me off and ran over some cones. Very classy. At that point I felt SO DONE with everything. It was only then were there people managing the line went it broke away further. The last time I went, everyone just waited for both cars to go, making it a bit of a longer wait, but it was definitely more streamlined. A previous time that I have gone, people would just pull out and go and another car would replace that spot regardless if there was enough space to do so, which, you guessed it, resulted in another cluster fuck. I have gone here at night and in the mid morning and both times were miserable in different ways. If I can avoid it, I'll just go to a different location for sure. read more

Chino Hills Costco has planned and waited for this since 2018. The new Costco gas station finally opened at the week of 7/22/2024. 32 gas pumps, no more barricades, and no more endless waiting in line while blocking traffic. Remember to stay on the left lane as you enter from Peyton as you will need to make a left turn at the stop sign (instead of the usual right lane gas queue). Over 50 cars in line for gasoline at 10:20 am on a Saturday. The queue is well organized and does not interfere with access to/from/around the warehouse. This is the Costco we use to go to when we lived in Chino Hills. The gas and prices are absolutely great. The reason for only 3 stars is the access to the gas pumps from the street. It has only 2 pumps per island and it bottle necks at the first island which keeps the cars from getting to the other islands. And it's not like Only a few know about Costco it's been around for a very long time. So why am I reviewing Costco? It's because even Costco a long standing establishment needs to be given props when it's performed so well. I've heard from several Costco workers over the past many years and have heard only great things from them. It's a testament to just how well the employees are treated. I buy everything from produce to electronics here and for the most part I've always been very pleased with their quality. I especially love splurging from time to time and getting the USDA Prime graded Ribeye(totally worth the price and always amazing). Costco. There isn't too much new to say about it! Your average run of the mill Costco. You come in for one item and leave spending over $100. Parking is plenty here and thank goodness it is not like other Costco's where parking is horrendous. Many of the stores nearby are closed, so there is even more parking available. I have never had trouble here with the workers... just a few mean customers I have encountered... but that is their own issue and not a Costco issue. The food court here is located outside, so it's more open and lots of seating available. I like how they mark the lines for the food court so that confusion is decreased and it is more fair. The gas station here however, does need some work. It is located right at the street entrance and the location is terrible with a sharp turn into the gas station. However, I know a new bigger more accessible one is in the works. Hopefully it opens soon! Get your pet food and pet beds here because they are much cheaper than at the pet stores nearby. They sell grain free pet food, both for cats and dogs, and at a much cheaper price!! It's where I get my pet needs! Pet beds here are also much cheaper. I have a 90lb German Shepard that has outgrown every bed I bought for him. I was able to big 2 huge beds here for him for less than $50 each! Costco recently upgraded their system to where you can simply show your membership digitally on your phone instead of always having to carry a physical membership card with you at all times making this a wonderful and convenient idea. A few days ago as we were waiting in the usual long line to pump gas I realized that I had forgotten my membership card in the other car, I had already been in the line for about ten minutes and I remember a similar scenario when my membership card was damaged and wouldn't scan so the Costco employee came over and scanned his employee ID card and said to get a new card when we had a chance, as we continued to wait the fuel truck arrived to refill up the underground fuel tanks. A Costco employee who said his name was Sergio asked two cars to move because the fuel truck needed our lanes for extra space, he asked me and the vehicle behind us, note that I was next to fill up and after being inline for about 15 minutes now it didn't settle too well being asked to moved, we had to reverse and slowly transitioned two lanes into a line that had five cars in front of us making me the 6th and the car behind us the 7th. (Very unhappy about this) After waiting another 10 minutes it was finally my turn to pump, and I called Sergio over and I explained to him that I had forgotten my membership in the other car but before I even finished my sentence he immediately responded with a "there's nothing I can do and you have to either go inside and get a new membership card or a one day pass" I explained that I had simply forgotten the card and I showed him my phone with my membership account and picture and he said "digital memberships aren't accepted at the gas station, so you'll have to either get a new card or a one day pass" I asked one more time if he can please scanned his ID specially after being inline for so long and being asked to moved over when I was next, he simply said "go inside and get a new card and he walked away" The person behind me, (car #7) who was also very unhappy about having to moved two lanes over heard pretty much everything and he simply walked over scanned his membership and said "sometimes it happens, just be glad the day is almost over" I thanked him and he walked away, but not before SERGIO came back and confronted him with a "you could lose your membership for allowing others to use it" and the guy responded with a "he is a member and he showed you his membership on his phone" Sergio just stood quiet and continued to stand there. I just wanted to share my story as to how frustrating this whole ordeal was for us, and how Sergio could had been a bit nicer and more helpful, specially after he had already verified that we were current members and we just simply didn't have the physical card with us. read more
