Aside from this rating and review I wanted to warn you guys about stupid people you may encounter. I was in the line already and this dumb woman from another lane decides to cut into my lane. This woman had no decency and remorse as she didn't even look at me as she cut me, and when putting gas into her car she glanced at me with a smirk. Filled up my Kia at Costco on Auburn Blvd. In Citrus Heights. 2 days later, it was misfiring so bad that I had to have it towed to the Kia dealer. My car only has 25k miles on it. Kia tested the gas at 22% alcohol, which is almost twice the legal limit. They had to remove the gas tank to drain and clean it for $700, which fixed the problem. The Service manager said he sees a lot of problems with Costco gas. I filed a complaint for reimbursement with Costo. When they denied the claim, they said it wasn't possible to have water in the gas. I pointed out that I never said it had water in it. At which point the rep from legal rudely told me to not interrupt him. I won't be buying Costco gas again, and neither will my friends and family. read more

Many hours of the day this place is packed. Overall it's never really bad. Just as long as people come here to just pump gas and leave. Please no chit chat please is all I ask between patrons. Just do your business and go. If your in need of help then have the attendant come over and help with your situation. It's the cheapest gas around and since I got this free membership via a birthday gift I'll be roaming over every chance I get. If your in need of gas just make sure you understand that the wait time can be at the maximum of 25 minutes and the fastest is five minutes. There's always such a long line to use the gas station in this particular location. I'm not sure why. Maybe I do LOL. I think it's because it's between Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, and Diamond Bar. It's the closest one around those cities. Near the gas station, the prices of gas aren't visible. There's gas prices when you drive near the entrance of Costco Warehouse. However, people who know about Costco gas knows that it's mostly always cheaper than regular gas stations out there. From the other Costco gas stations I've gone to, the prices are exactly the same, but, of course, with different cities, taxes are going to be different wherever you are. I suggest going when there's not a rush hour of cars lined up waiting forever for gas. ---So this is what I do...I try NOT to go: - during weekends noon or weekend in general - near 4-5pm weekdays - when the gas truck comes (but that's varies...so can't do anything about that) The longest I've seen the line run is out the entrance going into the gas stations. It's pretty CRAZY!!!!! Beware of creepy gas workers, mostly male gas Costco workers. I don't know why but I've experienced perversion sometimes when I encounter them (Ex: when they come up and say "Hi" and wanting to chat...maybe they're bored and want to talk...I'm not sure). Recently I've been coming to this Costco and I have no idea why. People here seem so much more angrier than in OC. Especially at the gas line, yes everyone is waiting and it is a super long line but I don't see what the point is when your angry at the car in front of you so you decided to cut off two people. This Costco Gas location has some of the shorter lines I have experienced. Lines more pretty quickly. Wide spread out pumps. You cannot enter through the main parking lot. You enter through the side street, Hanover and you exit into the main parking lot. They need to add an entrance from the main lot so you do not have to exit and reenter. This is one of the best costco gas stations around... granted the price is 2-4 cents higher than the Fullerton and Azusa Costco's, its on my route so I try and stop in here quite often. Usually though this is my between 6:30-7am stop on the way to work since I am out of fuel... Pro Tip: Come before 10am for very limited or no lines... They rarely have super bad lines here during the week. The weekend can be gas line hell though so be forwarned. Usually I find the first line to be the absolute fastest for some crazy reason. The best part of this place is that if you need gas... you pull off the fwy hop in line order a pizza (call it in on your phone) and when you have finished filling up, parked, and walk up and pay for your pie... the pie is almost always ready for you right then... if not, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes here to get it... Every now and then one of the pumps goes down for a day. Those are usually on the islands furthest from the beginning of the line area. read more

Honestly this is as good as it gets. The gold standard in gas. Liquid GOLD. This is definitely the cheapest gas around. On average I found that gas at Costco is around 20 cents cheaper than any station around. So if you have Costco Membership, you better take advantage my friend. My car usually eats 14-15 gallons, so if I am saving 20 cents per gallon that is almost 3 dollars each trip. 3 whole dollars, you could go use that money towards a chicken bake or a slice of combo pizza (although I think the chicken bake might be more with tax). If you fill up once a week, that's like $150 dollars you've saved assuming your car has the same size fuel tank. So if you have an SUV you might be saving even more, maybe enough for a chicken bake AND churro. I gave this 5 stars but there are a few gripes I have. Yeah the line can be long sometimes but that is totally manageable. Take a few selfies, sing a few songs in the car and soon enough it's your turn. The main gripes I have at this location are the drivers. 75% of the time I come here there are terrible drivers. I won't go into detail but just be careful. Seriously. Costco gas is basically a gathering party of drivers who took like 3-4 times to pass their driving test. Also, like inside Costco only Amex and Debit cards accepted. But you knew that. read more

Costco gas is the cheapest around! Beware though, lines are always long unless you go during off hours. I've learned that off hours is before 8am and after 8pm. Today, I went to get gas at like 8:02am and only had to wait for the cars that were already pumping gas to finish... by the time the cars in front of me did and I looked in my rear mirror, the line was suddenly at the street! I usually just try to come here before work, which is around 6am (when they open) or after work which is about 8pm and there are never any lines during those times. I just drive up and get gas. At other times of the day, the line will most likely be to the street! Costco gas is much cheaper than elsewhere, somewhere around 10-20 cents cheaper. It always looks clean here and seems well maintained. I've never had an issue getting gas here. You can only get gas here if you are a member or with someone who is a Costco member. You can also only pay with either a debit card, Amex, or Costco gift card. Don't come here between 8am and 8pm if you are on a time crunch. Sometimes it's not as packed around 6-7pm also, but that's a hit or miss. Sometimes I wish there was a Sam's Club gas at the Sam's nearby also. I used to live where there was both a Costco gas and Sam's Club gas station practically across the street from each other... it's never nearly as packed at Sam's and they take any credit card over there. read more

This Costco Gas is kept relatively clean and an attendant is always nearby if you need assistance but the customers who frequent it may not be the most courteous around (given that it IS in Rowland...) However, on one of my visits here, I had a less-than-pleasant experience with one of the attendants. He kept badgering me when I was attempting to fill up the gas in my car while I was on my lunch break. Socializing with customers is great and is the key to good customer service, but not when it is overdone to the point where the customer is put in an uncomfortable position and she can't really leave because the hose is still pumping gas. At Costco Gasoline, you are bound to get the cheapest if not close to the cheapest price in the general area. The lines speak volumes to this mantra. Unlike some of the other Costco Gasoline stations I've been to Southern California, this location actually has quite a bit of "lead-in" space, meaning, you will not have to block traffic due to a horrible entrance design. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!! I usually only get Costco Gas at the San Dimas location because I never have to worry about lines. Well this Costco Gasoline is the worse! The lines extend out to the street and there's always a clusterf*ck of terrible Asian drivers stuck inside the tiny gas station. The location is just terrible and watch out for all those crazy Asian drivers (I can say this because I'm Asian). People are always going in different directions when they exit and there's plenty of times where I felt like someone would hit me once I tried to exit. However, be ready to wait for a long time as value conscious shoppers wait patiently in their cars in the forever long cue. Try to avoid weekends to avoid the crowd. Early in the morning usually is good or right before they close. I calculate with the amount of money you save on gas over the year, it actually pays for your $45 annual Costco membership. I was very impressed that they had someone actively walking around and wiping down the gas handles in order to disinfect them. I thought this would increase wait times a lot but it did not make too much of a difference. Might be helpful if they had more people clean, especially since Costco is popular because of their affordable gas prices. I understand there were some who said that the prices went up, however it is still cheaper than the cost of other gas stations that I have been to. my husband and I got the credit card for 4% back but NOW -I am NOT happy with the unfriendly new pumps..if you pull up with the hose on the opposite side of the car..your screwed.
