Staff is always easy to work with. Sitting right along I-235 it can get pretty busy at times. Every now and then it could probably be a little cleaner, but you take the bad with the good I guess... Speaking of bad... Why tf did you all get rid of the frozen coffee options? Corporate call I'm guessing as it seems to be all the QT locations and not just this one. smh Now that I think about it... Why am I giving this place 5 stars? Sheesh... I guess comparatively speaking it's still basically the best gas station around as far as drink selection and food in West Des Moines. Unless you want pizza... If you want pizza it's Casey's hands down. Two mega slices for $6! And the pizza is WAY better at Casey's. QT pizza kind of blows... C'mon QT! QuikTrip foods are decent, good fountain selection, reasonable donuts, etc. I think that QuikTrip is upscale as convenience stores go, while still being a convenience store. One of QuikTrips better virtues is that their fuel handling is clean. Better than usual fuel better than usual handling. Things to know: * Easy access off of I-235. * This location has the new coffee beverage on tap stations. These are nice, when they work. Every other stop I make the machines are out of order. I hope to see a reduction of this headache as they continue to get the maintenance sorted out.

Between the ork van and my Silverado, those longer windshield wands come in handy. But they are not well maintained. And the water buckets smell to high heaven. Get someone out to the gas islands on a regular basis and make it presentable. I get there's a lot of construction right now on the freeway ramps by your store. All the.more reason to make regular visits to the pump islands and keep them in shape.

They got the best coffee, they are always clean, they have healthy snacks and the beer fridge is always full! Here's a sad story though.. One time, I was in need of some toothpaste and decided I would just get some on my run, so I put my credit card in my pants and took off with the destination of QT since it's fairly close to where I'm staying... Naturally I just run in my every day clothes so I had a ripped button up shirt and some chords on for pants, also with rips, I probably looked kinda rough around the edges. I got there and asked the nice lady working where the tooth paste was and she showed me... I went up to pay for it, and oh crap I grabbed the wrong Credit Card and it was not working, maxed out again! So I had no cash and had to put the tooth paste back.. A guy in line looked at me and I swear he debated buying that tooth paste for me... Since he felt so sorry for me.. He did't, but I still love Quick Trip.

Got to love Kwik Star! The best gas station chicken and sandwiches in the convenience store…read moremarket! One of my favorite thing about Kwik Star is the no fee ATM machines. Where a $2.50 service fee has become common place it's nice that they offer this. $200 max withdrawal per transaction, but there's usually two machines and you can make multiple transactions if needed. Grab a Faygo soda from their selection and some chicken tenders on your way out!
