Just people making their mad dash to get their shopping done. One thing I noticed was they put that bear spray right when you enter the warehouse. Gotta meet that demand! AT&T mobile kiosk is worth avoiding - they will happily switch you over from your current service to highly spotty AT&T Flathead Valley/WF coverage. We were on endless roaming after we got suckered into switching to them. Took the better part of a weekend to switch back to Verizon. read more

At one point, they called my name, and then another number and the other person was there faster than me and i feel like that chick got my pizza. If traveling, visiting a local Costco can include local specialties. Several years ago, on Maui, we went to Costco to provision ourselves for our stay. I was delighted to discover SPAM in several previously unknown (to me) varieties. There were seven some-odd types! In foreign stores, the food court offerings are locally adjusted. I wish we could get some of these offerings in the US, but I understand the logistics and marketing that have made Costco such a reliable success. I strongly recommend reading The Joy of Costco: A Treasure Hunt from A to Z, a book written by happy customers about everything Costco. Available on the big A, and generally at Costco. Another thing I'd recommend is, if viewing is available at your location, watching how the Costco pizzas are built. Again, it's how high volume good constancy is achieved. read more

Well, the service is always great, fast efficient checkout out, something a big store like Walmart needs to figure out. and of course, there's always a Costco size selection of items. The big problem with the KaliAngeles store, they have a parking lot the size of two football fields or more and you can never find or seldom fine parking. and shopping inside the store I feel like I'm in a city like Los Angeles. what happened small town Montana?. I mean growth is something we have to deal with as Montana, this is the place you move when you escape those over populated states. Member for over 30 years. Warning for anyone who parks in the Costco parking lot during hot days in the Summer. The crack filling tar that they use here in the Kalispell parking lot ruined one of my tires by filling up the treads over on over a quarter of the tire when it melted while I was inside the store. Needless to say the tire was ruined and had to be replaced. When I asked the Manager on Duty (Pat) what Costco can do for customers that have there cars damaged by products they use for the parking lot maintenance he said "we don't do anything." Pat was also not interested in going out to his parking lot to see where the poor parking lot care was damaging vehicles. Parking is good, the store is clean and organized nicely. I thought I would try the pizza one evening I didn't feel like cooking. That was a a bad idea. I got home and the pizza was raw on the inside yet appeared cooked on the outside, it was a dougy messy and gross. I called them to tell them I will be returning the pizza the next morning. We had a late night need to get our propane tanks filled. My husband arrived at the fill station right at 8:20 and asked if he was too late. Zach was the attendant on duty and immediately jumped into action to provide great service. He did an excellent job of explaining of the process and filling both tanks. The inside staff also did a great job of providing great service, even at the late hour when most people just want to close up. First bad review ever at a costco, I have 8 people on my membership, definitely the primary store we shop at.The kalispell store feels like a shakedown.The highest prices I have ever seen,ever,at a costco.Steaks,fish,milk,cheese. EVERYTHING in the store is 20% higher then other costco stores.I am moving here permanently and it has forced me back to smiths grocery because of the weekly adds.4$ a pound more for steaks per pound is robbery.Costco has become so big they are starting to price gouge. Well it's Costco and if you're like me it's a store that I go in for one thing and come out with way more than I was going in for. This is a store in the northwest and I was used to Southern California so there is a difference between them. I am really glad that there is a good selection of cold weather items and they have decent produce at good prices. Do not attempt to do business with Costco if you value your privacy. I went into the Kalispell Costco recently for the first time. It was also the last time. I went to pick up the membership card a relative had purchased for me. The customer service person informed me I would be required to provide a photo i.d. as well as giving them my street address, email, and phone number, all for the privilege of spending my money there. I have been a member since there was only one store in Kirkland. I have shopped in stores in numerous states over the years and have to say the management of the Kalispell store is an embarrassment. Several instances of rudeness from those ins charge of this store are unusual for this company. Just the latest instance. Enter the store with my card but before entering the line discovered that the card was nowhere to be found. I flagged down a so-called manager who tried to look up my name in their computer system. He claimed that I was not a member and would immediately have to leave the store!!!! What? I eventually made it to the membership desk where within 20 seconds they were able to find my membership. So, I couldn't find contact info for corporate to make a complaint, so I'm doing it here. First off, this is a COVID related incident, where normally Costco is a great place. Ok- being that y'all need a membership to shop, Costco can make there own rules. Now in regards to mandating mask wearing, if y'all doing it for the safety of your employees, fine! Have them cover up, if they choose to. Please leave your customers alone!!! Normally, with my health issues (and other people who have health issues), Costco has been ok, though employees would still chirp in and harass you. Now, they mandate that y'all wear a face shield if you have health issues. Well corporate, basically any kind of air flow restriction can be problematic ( and if you're not the one with the health issues, it's easy to criticize ). So anyways, on today's shopping trip, I was followed by an employee, only to be told to put my face shield on. ( did for a lil while, but couldn't deal with it ). Was harassed later at checkout, and decided to walk out, leaving my wife behind to do the check out. Got harassed heading towards the door too. Now I know it's not the employees rules, it's corporate, and the employees are just trying to enforce what corporate is saying, but "F" you. I will never enter a Costco again while this "virus" has everyone scared. Again - you trying to enforce things cause y'all worried about your health? You take the precautions yourself. I love that Montana does not have sales tax. Ether price you see is the price you pay. I purchased a Traeger grill today and had them ship it to my house. Not sure if that was a standard program, but got them to sign off on that. I also saved $100 in tax by purchasing in MT. As for the rest of the store, they had the items that I needed for our trip. What did I learn today? Had I not bought the grill, my Costco bill would be been only $70!! read more

We all know the financial benefits of this establishment, that doesn't need to be addressed. However, as soon as you purchase that red and white card do these people just chuck their customer service out of the window? Like good grief, I'm treated better at the DMV!! As a southern guy I'm almost always as pleasant as possible but every experience at this specific location leaves me more astounded by the rudeness of the cashiers. I tell myself the same thing every time, I would pay the $5 more at a regular grocery store just to be treated like a human being. It's Costco for crying out loud! I tend to do a lot of research and specially with big and important purchases. Cosco almost always comes out as the lowest cost option. You can't beat their return policy. Great selection of quality meat fish poultry cheese and wine. Up until recently and it's also unfortunately the best option for Asian food in the freezer section! I love this company and my local shop in particular. The staff are always happy and friendly and act as if they enjoy being there. That says something about the management. I just had the very best return experience ever! I mean, it was so good that I am inspired to write this review. I returned some curtains, and the cashier erroneously deducted the coupon amount from my return total. I went back, and they fixed it right away, no questions asked.
