I always go early morning. Their app won't pre pay pet meds. In the future, I'd like to prepay, sign for restricted drugs, send a picture of my driver's license; then pick up the prescription from a locker. No lines, no dealing with people. Costco Pharmacy is phenomenal! The pharmacists are professionals who are always helpful, kind, polite and informative. I save a lot of money on pet and my family's meds. A lot of money on meds that cost 3xs as much elsewhere!!! We are usually out of the pharmacy in less than 10 minutes and the line is always short. Easy ordering on line helps so much and you no longer receive constant texts from a chain pharmacy. I love my Costco experiences. read more

PHARMACY IS AWEFUL! Not only are some of the staff rude l, but they're constantly giving incorrect information about drugs and pricing. The wait is ridiculous most times. Not enough staff. I'm here today and yet another problem. Incorrect pricing quoted to me this morning, and they can't partially fill my pets medication - which she needs now and fill the rest when it comes in (which they always have done before if it's not in stock). I'm happy to pay for the whole thing now. I can't understand why when there is not one person here waiting, there still is at least a half hour wait? Costco needs to hire better pharmacy managers. Please do not fill your prescriptions at this place! The pharmacy staffs don't care whether you get your meds on time or not! They don't inform you if the meds your ordered not available! They did it to me yesterday that it almost killed me! I'm totally depended on a med and by the time to pick it up, they said it's back ordered and do not know when it's going to be arrived! WTF! It took the pharmacy one and a half hours (90 minutes) to fill a prescription for a drug they have in stock. I don't think they know what they were doing, or I was being discriminated ! I've only had great experiences here! The prices can't be beat and the staff is always helpful. I rarely write reviews, but when I read the bad ones here, I realize that most people probably only review on yelp to complain, so I'm here to change that. I have always found the staff here to be very kind and yesterday was no different! When I was picking up my medications, the pharmacist came out to personally give advice on how to mitigate side effects I might experience from one of them and multiple staff members sincerely wished me a quick recovery. I suppose no one wants any one to be sick over a holiday but their warmth was very appreciated. I'm lucky this is close enough to be my pharmacy! read more

This was one of the worst pharmacy experiences that I have had in my life. I needed to get my prescription transferred from the Costco Pharmacy in Gaithersburg to a mail order pharmacy (because I could not afford what Costco was charging for my medication, despite insurance). The pharmacy sent Costco a fax to request the prescription transfer. A week later, Costco had not transferred the prescription, and the individuals who I talked to at Costco were terribly rude and arrogant. I do not intend to go to the Costco Pharmacy in Gaithersburg again to get my prescriptions filled. Furthermore, I am finding prices to be a lot more competitive at other local pharmacies in the area. read more

It took a week to get my prescription filled. They are so rude and have no customer service at all. I do not have health insurance at the moment and they are unwilling to help with breaking prescriptions in half. So many other pharmacies will do it. I hate that this Costco is the cheapest place I can buy my prescriptions. They are truly horrible. There is 1 girl named Stella who is amazing and nice but other then her everyone else sucks. Ming is nice as well it took a while to get a smile out of her but over the phone she isn't very friendly in person she smiles but definitely not over the phone. I have requested a call back for when my prescription is ready after it took a whole week to figure out and when I called back some guy snapped at me when he was telling me it was ready like I'm inconveniencing him!!! I'll give it 5 stars on price alone!!! You don't need a membership to get prescriptions here. The prices even without insurance are crazy low. Best results have your Dr call it in, or call in a transfer from another pharmacy & make sure it's ready to pick up before you go in. The tire services are the worst ever that i have experienced. After changing the tire, the mechanic didn't tighten the wheel nuts. While driving on GW Memorial parkway, The wheel started making sound and when i checked all nuts were loose. How can a certified mechanic make such a mistake. My wife was discharged from the hospital with a prescription for a cream that no retail pharmacy in the area was able to get for us...EXCEPT Costco. After visiting one pharmacy and phoning multiple chain store pharmacies on a Sunday without success, I phoned Costco. Costco pharmacy is the worst. At least the one in Gaithersburg Maryland. I've personally gone to them about five times. Each time I went, I felt like I was treated with total disrespect. It was almost like I was bugging them. Each time they told me that my prescription would be ready in 45 minutes. Of course you get there and just shop around... It's routine. After an hour, I came back with my shopping cart full of stuff, and each time there has been a problem with my prescription where they ended up not filling them. But instead of calling me on my cell phone which they have, they always wait for you to come back to their window. Now I've asked them why they continue to do business like that as in obviously annoyed.. The worst part about it is that everyone there gives you attitude. Everyone. Even their manager. I just called them up. Now I've asked them to transfer my prescriptions. Their manager rudely told me that I needed to have my new pharmacy of choice call them up directly and that's their protocol. I asked her what my prescriptions were that I had with them.., I was hung up on. Of course... My recommendation is to NEVER GO TO THEM FOR YOUR MEDs!! read more
