This is more so directly towards the Pharmacy. I went in at 1:30 pm to drop off a prescription. I was told 45 minutes, so i came back at 2:35, when i went to pick up, they told me it wasn't ready and it would be another hour. Then when i asked why as i was told 45 minutes they weren't sure what was going on, so i leave, i come back at 3:45, STILL NOT FUCKING READY, they weren't sure what was going on asked me sit down, so i sat for another 20 minutes with another person who was having issues with them. They dropped theirs of at 10 am and were still having problems, waited and waited for patient counseling, i wasted gas, time and patience and almost missed my fucking appointment because they don't have a clue how to manage shit. Get a manager or get employees with much more than half a brain. Absolute dog shit. read more

It's no secret that my heart belongs to Costco... As a former Seattleite, it's like having a little piece of home every time I go in! The parking lot at this location can drive me crazy but check outs go quickly! This location offers a liquor store (like the St. Albert one) and a gas bar! Prescriptions are always less for me at Costo than anywhere else as their dispensary fees are low and their food court is a favourite treat for my munchkins before heading home. Where else can you get a quality all beef hot dog and pop for $1.50? Seriously, you can feed a family of 4 for under $10. Of course, my kids love the poutine and that's a bit more. I also appreciate the water bottle vending machine for 50 cents right next to the food court! Who else does this? Frequently, I thoroughly embarrass my husband by buying a rotisserie chicken back in the meat department and then a side of gravy from the food court to eat alongside my hot dog and poutine eating offspring. But seriously, try it! It's a MILLION BAZILLION times better than Swiss Chalet anyway and lighter on the wallet. A trick we do is boiling the rotisserie carcass after making a meal or two out of it for soup stock - it's delish and full of so much flavour from their rotisserie process. Another reason we love Costco, is their meat department. You'd be hard pressed to find better meat quality at their prices. They frequently run specials (like yesterday - $2.50 off a package of chicken breasts). Their Prime Rib is to die for and makes the bestest Christmas dinner ever! Great prices for organic cow's milk or organic almond milk, organic tofu, organic meat, organic produce... etc. Basically, you can get a fair bit of organic here for much better prices than Planet Organic. The organic firm tofu is a favourite of ours and a great price! You can find tofu in the refrigerated section as well as on the aisles vacuum sealed and not-refrigerated (firm, yay!). And speaking of Christmas, if you aren't shopping here for hot Christmas items on your kids' wish list, you are paying too much! From the latest video games to Doh Vinci to Star Wars Lego, their prices are the best! I could go on and on about my love affair with Costco... Costco is wonderfull if you need...and storage space for all things bulk. They have reasonably priced electronics, a full pharmacy, food, clothing, books, textiles, housewares, perscription eyewear... They cover everything in some way shape or form. I like this store as it is well maintained and...well...close to home. It's a tough place to "dart into" for an item ir two. Inventory changes. Deals come and go...and just to make sure you have to go almost everywhere in the store...products migrate from one isle to the next in some areas. All in all...I've been a member for years, and am really never disapointed. The imprtant part is actually usung ones membership to justify it's initial cost. read more

This Costco location is one where I feel safest when in-person shopping this pandemic. Our most recent trip here was very good as it wasn't busy at all (it was a Thursday evening) and the store was clean and bright. We picked up photos from the photo centre (easy to order online and the quality was marvelous!) and had a good checkout experience also. Yes they were short on paper products (what location isn't, these days?) but we weren't seeking them out. I was quite impressed with their selection of gift baskets and was happy with the adherence of other customers and staff to the physical distancing and mask wearing requirements. I rarely leave my home these days so the times when I am indeed out and about I am that much more aware of things with regards to the pandemic. We were also quite pleased that when they were out of stock of an item that we were seeking for the holidays, the staff were able to look up the availability in other warehouses and let us know the cost. It turns out this item was the same price when ordered on costco.ca so we eventually went that route but it was exceedingly helpful to know the local availability as well! I really look forward to the pandemic ending but having stress-free shopping experiences here (among others is really helpful! read more

I love Costco! This location was no exception. I still believe that Costco has the best meat in the city (and surrounding areas, since this one is in Sherwood Park). They also have pretty darn good produce which is surprising for a wholesale store. But you don't have to buy produce in bulk if you don't want to. They have small containers of berries and stuff so don't think that everything is bulk and you have to eat bananas 3 meals a day for a month straight. Costco is great! There's no such thing as zipping in and zipping out of Costco. So many times I'd love to grab a quick thing on my lunch break, but I know I'll be standing in the checkout line for 25 minutes. Especially frustrating when 3 tills are open and another 5 or 6 are closed. There seems to be more than enough staff milling around to open another till, but no joy. Something must be sacrificed to obtain that cheap bulk bag of Hersey's Easter Eggs, and that is 1 hour of your valuable time. read more

This is a review of the tire center. It's bad. Very very bad. Think of it as a "non costco" thing. If you are a regular lover and fanatic of all things Costco and Kirkland like I am, anything less than 5 stars is not acceptable. The tire center has average prices, poor service, and really no reason to go in. As a huge Costco fan, I'd say it's even more disappointing. Go to Kal Tire instead. Hint. You can price match Costco tires at Kal tire...so you get the better prices (about $100 off) and the better service.e read more

I have loved shopping at Costco ever since it opened in Edmonton many years ago. I really like the Sherwood Park location, though I find they do not get the volume of items the Southside store on 91 St does. When they opened, I recognized many of the staff that had transferred from the South store so the service here has been as excellent as I was used to getting before. I am very happy with this location. I find Costco's prices are still better than sale prices in the grocery chains. And I do like the benefits of buying in bulk, not only saving money, but less packaging on many items. I have also contacted suppliers of products to Costco and been very pleased with the reception I received when I requested information on their product. A little part of me dies every time I walk into Costco. I prefer to shop local, organic if possible and definitely not in bulk. I don't believe in consuming more than you need not only for your health but also for the health of the planet. However, I do acknowledge that sometimes it is cheaper to buy in bulk and especially for those with a big family, the packaging saved on bulk purchases can be a big deal in the long run. I usually come to Costco for a couple of select things: Almond milk, sustainably caught Tuna (although they rarely have it!), hand cream (Im a nurse I go through TONS of Glysomed), and chips if we are having a party. I sometimes find the odd organics bag of almonds, quinoa or dried fruit which are all items I use on a regular basis. My issue with Costco is this: they rarely keep the same stock, the line ups are horrendous (I often leave wondering if anyone works in this town cause everyone seems to be at Costco at ANY time of day!), and do you really ever need a bag of chips as big as you?! I always feel like a dirty over-consumer, but Almond Milk that is MUCH less expensive will keep me coming back until my favorite organic store starts selling it in bulk at a decreased price too. read more

I got yelled at 3 times in one trip. Once to get to the back of the line ( I was trying to get to the pharmacy, not cut in line), once a worker yelled that there was a limit of one paper towel per membership (I only had one) and once for wanting to go to the cashier (since there was only on person online instead of a massive self checkout line. This was my first visit at Costco in Sherwood Park. While I've never been a huge fan of Costco due to the crowds and long waits at the register, I get it... Busy place = waiting at the registers. However this location really took me by surprise! Extremely well organized and very little wait time! It did help that it was early afternoon and we were mostly organized. Like most locations this location is well planned out, it's like everything in every Costco is in the same place. So it eliminates having to search for anything. Unfortunately today I had a difficult time looking for burger buns, I had asked an associate where to find them and she replied with a "there over there" pointing in the direction of the bakery. I mentioned I was just there but couldn't see them. She replied with a "well we're out then" in a snarky tone. Maybe she was having an off day, but the lack of customer service and friendliness really left a sour taste in my mouth... Never the less the rest of my experience was great so I won't let this one time encounter affect my trip. read more

This Costco location is a bit of a headache finding parking. It seems to be pretty busy with lots of cars coming in and out. As other reviewers have pointed out, I find this location lacks the volume and diversity as other Costcos in the city. That being said, I usually have no trouble finding what I need (the essentials). The line ups can be long depending on the time of day. Can't beat the prices at Costco in general, especially when items also go on special. This location has the added bonus of having a gas station as well as the liquor store! The annual fee may be pricey to some however the prices of items more than make up for that fee. It's rare to find anyone these days who doesn't shop at Costco I find. read more

I find Costco to be kind of a terrifying place... giant quantities of everything, long lineups, and so much spending. I sometimes go for cheaper gas, but the lineups at some times of day aren't always worth it. I ended up at this location while on the hunt for winter tires. Not every location in the city had rims, but they had some here. I got a really good price on my tires, relative to other places I checked, but I had to wait 3 weeks for them to come in (and then they installed one with a slow leak...) I discovered that this particular Costco has two redeeming qualities that make it a little better than the others. One, it's less busy that other Costcos in Edmonton. I've never had trouble finding parking, even on the weekend. Two, it's got (as far as I know) the only Costco liquor store in the Edmonton area. Booze in bulk! read more

We had a flat tire on our SUV 4 days before a camping trip that was beyond repair, we went to Costco Tires where we purchased them and they check the warranty and found we were covered by the "hazard road" policy, not only they located the tire in one day in Alberta but were able to replaced it in 2 and we only paid 60 bucks, thank you Ciro for all your help!!! read more

I was unable to eat anymore as my stomach is on fire. This salad has over the years slowly progressed to an onion salad as the price of bell peppers went up. Poor way to save money. I miss the old Costco Greek salad. We have purchased many of hear salads over the years and it has progressively gotten worse. We will no longer be buying his product, too bad though. Very smooth service, people very in and out because of how popular it is, so there is a very positive flow of people, they also serve free samples and have everything I need for packing lunches and cooking dinner, the only negative feedback I have for Costco is there is the rare grumpy soccer mom who thinks her life is more important, now I did say there's a post it I've flow but there is an occasional mean person. I gave it four stars though because of how busy and compacted it is, there's no space to breathe and you can never find a place to park, and the building itself isn't that busy.. just the parking lot! Overall very good building that is very satisfying! read more

I tried giving them a ZERO for the tire centre but I had to check off at least one for the review to be posted. If you are going to shop at this Costco it is ok, same as every other Costco decent service. But DO NOT go here for any tire purchase or installation they are the worst absolute worst I have ever seen. I dropped my flat tire off on a Thursday they said it would be fixed over night and would call me the next day. It is now Tuesday and no one has called, I have tried to get through to the tire centre but when I get connected no one answers. It's like they could care less I wish I would have read the other reviews here I would have never gone there. read more

I really love this location, especially when compared to the south Edmonton one. The gas bar is really easy to get in and out of, and the parking lot never seems to be as congested as other locations. Inside it's laid out like most others, but the inside also never seems as crowded as others. Overall, it's my preferred location for sure. Plus... Costco Liquor store on site! read more

The customer service I received at the optical center was outstanding! It was my first time getting glasses so I was a little nervous and had no idea what to look for. The service representative Charmaine was so helpful and made it a fun experience. She was also very personable and knowledgeable. The optical department is a complete mess!! This was my first eye exam. I had set up an appointment with them through the phone. On the day, I showed up 5 mins late, ok my bad. However, I'm standing there waiting to be attended, which took forever, then an optometrist comes out which was hiding in her office. She asks if I'm here for an appointment. I told her "yes, sorry I'm late, but I've been standing here for 5 mins" She says "your 10 mins late and I'm closed" and she literally left me standing there. WOW, disgusting CUSTOMER SERVICE! Ok, I don't know long eye exams are, she didn't even offer to set up another appointment or anything. How the hell am I supposed to know she's in her office with closed doors. For $85 dollar eye exam maybe I'll keep my money. I Googled "optometrist nearby" and I went to Kakim optical which is 2mins away from there and they did a walk-in eye exam for $80, I saved my self $5 dollars! And better frame selection. read more

Tire Center - They used to be a force to be reckoned with with regards to pricing but now they're no better than what most shops can offer. If you're willing to give the increasing number of Chinese tire a try then there's no comparison. I have gone from buying tires exclusively at Costco to only using their installation services. Now I'm struggling to defend that due to the excessively tight policies regarding servicing sizing. I agree with the policies for the most part but when I bring in a vehicle with wheels assembles by them and installed by myself and ask for them to change the TPMS sensors, they no longer assume liability for the tires that are on the vehicle. However, as a corporation, it's nearly impossible for them to get each employee to understand liability they way they do so they are forced to treat them like they're incapable of understanding..... and the employees are happy to play along. Unfortunately what they failed to recognize is that they have an obligation to ensure that my TPMS system is working and they refused, so therefore they assumed a higher level of liability. read more

I purchased a pair of glasses in March of 2020 from the optical department at Costco Sherwood Park. I was very happy with the fit and the ease at which I was able to adjust to my new progressive prescription. Unfortunately, the arm broke completely off last month (Oct 2021). I went to the store and was told that the glasses were not able to be repaired and I was past the warranty. I was informed that the warranty was from one year from date of purchase. Basically, I was out of luck. I had made the initial purchase on my MasterCard, and I knew that MC would double the warranty, so I wanted to move forward with starting the claim. I required a copy of the store warranty policy, and a letter stating that the glasses were non repairable. I returned to the store to get the required documents, and was told by the optical manager (Scott) that they do not issue these documents. My initial reaction was pretty negative, as I feel that it was an issue with the glasses poor durability (the arm broke while I was cleaning them, not through any sort of accident), but Scott went ahead and allowed me to pick out a new pair at no cost to me. I know he did not have to do this, and I really appreciate the fact he went above and beyond the store policy to ensure my satisfaction. He really made my day, and I am more than happy with the service I received in the matter. read more

Awful service at the tire department , I came in and the manager book me an appointment to get my tires for December 17 , 2016 he never mention there was no guarantee for the tires not to come in , they call me on Friday telling me the tires are not in . When ask to speak to the same manager all he can said is sorry you feel about that , with no solution , awful service on their behave for the amount of customer they have they should have tires on stock. read more

One of the worst Costco locations. Regardless of where you go during the day or evening it seems like it is difficult to find parking. Driving in the parking lot of a pain too; there's a ton of short rows and lots of pedestrians. Once you get in the store things aren't much better. They never have enough lines open. It's no uncommon to see lines of 10 or so carts. The line at the cafeteria is generally long. And the staff that works there is inefficient too. The worst thing I have noticed about the cafeteria staff is they wear the food prep gloves inappropriately. Wearing gloves gives staff and patrons a false sense of cleanliness. I have witnessed multiple staff members wear a pair to make someones meal, go to the back touch a box, touch the cafeteria door and then go back and continue making food. read more

I live in Millwood but avoid the 91 at Costco due to how busy it always is. I will drive to Sherrwood park instead. This is a less busy well maintained store with the added feature of a liquor store. The prices are considerably less than a local liquor store, just less selection. Great place to go if stocking up for you Xmas party. read more

Love Costco! Customer service and return policy can't be beat, great products and great prices! Love it even more now that they accept MasterCard instead of American Express. :) And the money you save quickly pays off your membership fee, so don't fret about that. read more

This Costco is pretty darn good. Even when it's busy, the line up flows smoothly. I love how they get in new products to try out, especially organic. They usually have in everything out household needs. The only one recommendation I would make is tell some of the cashiers to be a bit more friendly. As I never used Costco pharmacy before turned out my medication was out of stock everywhere accept Costco, as everyone told me Costco is much cheaper anyways. Picked up my medication it's usually no more then $45 Costco charged 67??? Over $20 more I asked them this can't be right they proceeded to talk down to me that I should of called to make sure and ask next time what the medication cost would be. That was I sure I was paying $45 before to "double check" and make sure and they kept informing on how there pick up cost was the cheapest everywhere else? That doesn't help me, my medication was over 20 bucks more then usually and they were zero help and telling me that the medication could of gone up in price (I just bought my medication last month at the synergy pharmacy and it didn't cost that much) Since they were the only place who had it available I had no other choice but to accept it and just pay it! I will be going back to the Sherwood park synergy clinic they were much nicer for one thing and a lot more helpful and happier to talk to. As their prices are cheaper. Being in pharmacy is still customer service. read more

Costco SP always caters to their customers and is a great place to shop and make returns to if needed. It is very busy and SP could use two Costco's but every Costco is nuts. Just the way it goes. They should serve Coke not Pepsi at the cantina or both. Most people prefer Coke and they should offer some healthier options. read more
