Walking into Costco is basically the adult version of "I'll just look around." You go in for paper towels and somehow leave with a 48-pack of snacks, a rotisserie chicken, and something you absolutely didn't plan on buying but now can't live without. Our local Costco does a great job keeping the store clean and stocked, and the staff are always friendly and surprisingly efficient considering the constant chaos of giant carts and bulk everything. The samples alone can turn a quick grocery run into a full-on tasting tour if you play your cards right. The gas station is also a huge win--worth the membership alone some days. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the crowds. Weekends feel like the Super Bowl of bulk shopping, and navigating the aisles can require a little patience and strategic cart driving. That said, the checkout lines usually move faster than you'd expect. All in all, Costco remains one of the few places where spending way more than you planned still somehow feels like a victory. read more

2.1.25 Costco yesterday was not as busy as normal but, it looked like they did not have anyone stocking. Several pallet were just sitting on the way, extra boxes ever everywhere through out the store. The frozen food section had extra boxes in front of the food you wanted so you had to crawl in the cooler to get it. The selection on quite a few items was low or gone completely. Signs were in the wrong place. The store needed some TLC for sure. I still managed to spend over $500. I will NOT need to go anytime soon (I hope) The guy at the cash register did not say ONE word to me. Odd. Very odd visit today at Cypress Costco. read more

Where do I begin !!! I witnessed such rude customer service to customers. As I was in line being loud , obnoxious , no sense of professionalism. Being very sarcastic I work for a luxury store. And no matter what. Customer comes first ALWAYS. Starting with Ana R at the register. Non compliant !!! Acting manager was worthless. Tell us to have a BLESSED DAY !! Went to customer service to get Store managers name. Once again rude rude rude. She had more makeup than I have seen in years !!!! I was in shock with it. NO ONE SMILED WHATSOEVER. Hello Yelpers, I know ppl love Costco. I have some friends who swear by them. Well, my experience was not flattering at the least. My hubby and I decided to obtain a Costco membership because we wanted to go to the Business Center in Stafford, TX. On Saturday, we ventured out to the location on 290 in Cypress, TX. The parking lot was extremely packed but I managed to find a spot. We went in and were directed to the membership desk. It was a madhouse in there. My first response to the customer service person(name tag was covered up) was can I use the membership card at the business center. She said yes along with all the first-time pleasantries. I let her know that we would like to get a membership and this was our first time at Costco. So she proceeds to inform us of the membership benefits then immediately goes into upgrading the membership card to business status. We were patient with her because she was indeed doing her job. We declined and I verbalized that we were just interested in the $65 Star membership. She continues to tell me that it pays for itself and we would receive money certificates and so on and so forth. Again, we decline with a smile. Then another sales clerk came and whispered to the lady we were talking to. Then she assertively asked me if she could talk to me about the upgrade to the business card and the credit card. I assertively told her to speak to my spouse. He declines. She turns to me again and I say thank you but I am only going to spend the money on the Star card. She rolled her eyes and turned her head away from us. We finally got through the transaction took the pics for the card. After all of that, we truly were drained and did not even shop the warehouse. We went to the cafe got a couple hotdog combos and left. I hope that we are pleased when we engage in the shopping experience. So long for now and thanks for lending an ear. read more

It's hard to hate on Costco. I'm not sure if this Costco is different than any other, because I personally only frequent a few locations, but I do know that it was the it spot over the holidays! Costco cards scan in stations make for quicker entry but once in, every man for themselves. I spent an hour at this store, dodging eager shoppers and meandering through the folks with giant baskets sitting in the middle of the isle to grab one item, and one item only. The lines were everything you'd expect during the holidays, crowded, and confusing with a long wait. Is it worth it? For me, occasionally. One word of caution: if you want to purchase a giftcard for an existing member you must go to the cashier check out, not guest services! read more

They have more healthy bulks of food that I like. My favorite is the chicken salad. I buy it often and have it for lunch. It has a nice balance of ingredients. I love shopping at Costco. Their employees? Not so much. For employees that get paid well, they have the worst attitudes and it's one of the reasons that make me question if i should cancel my membership. I didn't pay $130 annually to be treated like I'm in a concentration camp. One of their supervisors, Chris yelled at my elderly mother when she wasn't standing in a straight line with her cart on the "wrong" side. We go to this location almost every week and know which employees are friendly but even they're starting to turn to the dark side. Re-train your employees! I can't believe I have to pay to shop at a store that I was constantly harassed at! These people should be ashamed of themselves. Four Costco employees harassed me while I was in the store. The store manager Sergio made it a point to go as far as following me to the back of the store, questioning me for a third time, and he had the nerve to be upset with me because I caught him in a lie. Upon entering Costco with my service dog who is a SHIH TZU & she doesn't fit the typical "service dog stereotype " I guess, I begin being harassed by Costco's staff. There were two people at the front door. One was a greeter, the other was a manager. I immediately told the greeter who was side by side by the manager that she was a service dog, so that had already been established, so why did 4 people question my disability? After I clearly told the greeter that she was a service animal, it got worse. The store manager who heard me tell the greeter that she was a SERVICE DOG asked me what HEALTH CONDITION DID I HAVE? I told him that she helps with seizers, can bring meds, etc. Can you believe that he told me to prove it and show him my medical card? I explained that THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. By Texas Law, there isn't a certification that they provide. That is actually illegal by the way. Then to add insult to injury, I started shopping and Mr. Sergio, the stores super harasser approached me as I was shopping. I asked him, "Did the manager in the front send you here after I already explained my condition and was harassed for a medical card?" He initially said, yes and that he was just following up on what they told him. Then he blatantly lied and said , "No, he just saw me with the dog and he wanted to know if it was a service dog." He then got irritated when I pointed out the fact that he did indeed lie AND he can be sued for harassing me. So, once I exited the store, I asked the front greeter her name and she also got an attitude. I called Mr. Sergio to the front to ask him for his bosses information when a fourth person approached me. Sergio then decided to be unprofessional and confrontational. He begin to say, "What is your medical condition because you didn't tell me?" While he smirked and continued to be sarcastic. I told him that I didn't have to repeat myself because I had already told them from the time I initially walked in the door. At this point, I've told them this 4 times already! I said that I had a doctors note that I use for flights but I wasn't going to go home and bring that back. That's insane. He walked off and never provided information to corporate or his superior so I left because at that point is was clear that they were simply harassing me. Even someone else said that people (that are not African American) come in there with service dogs that do not have vests all of the time and they never harass them like they ridiculed and harassed me. This is disgusting and quite embarrassing. These people need to be properly trained or terminated before they get sued. Such disgusting human beings. I have tough skin but I couldn't imagine someone else who doesn't that is already battling a medical condition. It's ignorance like this that can trigger seizers and other medical issues. Very disappointed! Isles are not marked with what is on the isle. Only numbered isles with no description. Numbers mean nothing!! We had to search or ask someone where the location of certain items were!! Very limited in brands. Kirkland brands I never heard of. Limited choice of products. I think I'm able to step into Costco now and not spend over $100 easily now. Just go in blindfolded. Lol, luckily this Costco is newer and closer to my home. But that doesn't mean the parking still sucks like the other locations. This one seems to have one way in and one way out.... super annoying. Regardless, it's not so bad going on a "slow day". I think I can speak for many in the surrounding area of Cypress, Jersey Village and Hockley that this Costco location was way long overdue! Located right off of Mueschke Rd, you can't miss it. Most Costco's look about the same inside so there isn't much to explain other than wines, house appliances and etc are on the left of the building and freezer, drinks, and refrigerated food is on the right side of the building along with Pharmacy, Optical, and Hearing. In the food area there were tons of samples being passed out, more than what I usually see at a Costco so not sure if this will be a regular thing here or if they're kinda just going crazy because it's grand opening weekend. But I loved it! This location has self check-out available for people only grabbing a handful of items. The Costco Gas station was my favorite thing about this new location... say no more to long ass wait times to get to the pump! Extremely disappointed in Costco. Bought a whirlpool fridge 8 months ago and it completely stopped working. I purchased the fridge at a premium due to the positive things I had heard about Costcos warranty. I have learned that Costco just defaults their warranty service to the manufacturer. I have been without a working fridge for 5 weeks and I have struggled to even get Costco concierge to call me back. Needless to say I have learned that Costco warranties are not worth much and will not ever purchase a large applicable from them in the future. read more

Well I typically go to Sam's, but my kids convinced me to try Costco. So far I've been there twice and while I like the options on things I've found, the employees I find to be rather rude. Several employees were walking around picking up items dropped by shoppers in the wrong locations. Both of the employees that walked past us while shopping cut me off and I had to move out of their way. I understand you are working, but that's just bad manners to your customers trying to shop and look. These ladies were not polite about it either and that's putting it mildly. At Sam's you line up and the employees check your receipt,one for one to be fair, in the order you line up. I was in line and when the next employee was available I walked up to her and handed her my receipt. This employee proceeded to rudely tell me I was cutting people that were lined up in back of me and go back to my line? I guess if there were 2 lines then maybe you want to post that? I wasn't trying to cut anyone off I was just staying in the order that I lined up. So I watched people walk out the door that came after me as I waited. So, so far, honestly I'm not impressed and I'm really not eager to go back to a place to shop and have rude employees treat me that way I have encountered on only 2 visits. I was told twice that I could bring a television back here and I took the time to take the TV off the wall load it in the truck bring it in to the warehouse and then to be told sorry sir they shouldn't of said that. I went shopping today and could not find one of the vitamin supplements because they reshuffled the store again as they do I think every week. I walked out buying 2 items only as I could not find things and the motorized cart I use ran out of battery power. When I cannot find my items I just go to CVS or Walgreens and buy what I was looking for. I use to like Costco but this constant moving the items in the store so people have look all over the store in hopes you will buy other things as well. It has caused me to buy less. read more

Our favorite Costco in the area. Ever since this one opened, it's been our location of choice. I visit this Costco at least three times a month. What fascinates me is that no matter what time or day I go, there are never any big lines. It's probably coincidence, but I love it. It's still a good drive for us, maybe 35 minutes, but is closer than any of the other ones and definitely less crowded. Always excellent service! read more

Cypress needs to stock on fruits. Maybe it's RoNAs' fault but other Costco's in Houston have had all I needed, this one fell short. Also employees at other Costco's are always cleaning baskets constantly and making sure customers get clean baskets. What's not to love? The gas station is set up for a no hassle experience... one way driving and attendants are present. The store is always clean inside, which is a SUPER bonus. Yesterday when we went in they were crowded per usual, but the workers were making sure the lines were moving quickly. Even doing self checkout (which is usually frustrating at other chain stores) was going smoothly. We love buying in bulk and saving money- and the items we are saving money on do not lack in quality. Costco always has friendly, helpful staff and quality products. And that $4.99 rotisserie chicken :) read more

We've been a couple times and they have everything you could need. We tend to get food only and pool supplies are the cheapest around. They have a nice cafe as well and serve just a few options that you can order through a machine and they will call your number when it is ready. read more

For those that think that Sam's Club is better, you need to do some research. In a recent Consumer Reports issue and overall through the years, they have rated Costco far superior to Sam's Club. In fact the Kirkland Brand has had many of the top scoring products in CR for years. Also it should be noted that a lot of the Kirkland brand products offered are indeed made and private labeleled to Costco (Kirkland) products. The Kirkland brands of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and dish detergent pods are far superior to any other brands on the market. Also in a recent blind taste test, the Kirkland brand of Frozen Pepperoni pizza was the best tasting frozen pizza on the market. I agree, it's really tasty. I also think that the meat department is far superior to Sam's or Walmart. The fresh baked goods offer many scrumptious baked goods at remarkable prices. For those that don't like to walk through a well organized "warehouse market" pick up a handicapped buggy and enjoy isle after isle of top quality products at huge savings. Especially in this day and age, Costco is a superior store compared to any other "warehouse" stores. OH, and if your not handicapped, please don't use the handicapped buggies, I was only joking. It's best to walk through at a leisurely pace and enjoy the afternoon. Pick up a yummy dog or slice of fresh made pizza on your way out. read more

About the same you items youll find in bulk warehouse, but didnt join just walked through it first since the membership is up there. Asked but they dont offer any veteran membership incentives which my other wholesale center does. But for those that cant wait to buy in bulk it should work for you. I wasn't always happy about the Costco being built near my house, mainly because I wasn't a member at the time. Since they opened, felt kind of silly not to become a member being so close. The store is really clean and they have people constantly cleaning up after customers who want to look at the shirts & clothes but not buy it. They are friendly folk who just seem to be happy they are there. I just bought a TV from Kevin (I think) if he doesn't have the answer to a tv related question, it would surprise me. I unfortunately bought a TV and surround sound when Kevin wasn't working. I hooked it all up and the sound was coming in and out. So I went back to the store and Kevin was there. He told me what could be the issue (manufacturing issue not Costco) so I tried it and brought the TV back. No issues or hassle returning it. Kevin actually sold me another brand TV in the same family of TV's that he said had better picture quality. He was correct. My family and I love the TV. I'll be coming up soon to get another TV, I hope Kevin is there so he can give me expert advise on the 55". read more

I love this Costco but the Tire Center needs new management or something. They didn't have the tires I needed in stock but that's not a big deal. They scheduled me an appointment for 2 pm a day after the tires arrived. Cool. I get here at 1:45 and stand at the counter until almost 2 while the clerk had casual conversation with the person in front of me. Very unprofessional, in my opinion, but whatever. They then tell me that my car would be ready within an hour and 15 minutes. Ok, cool. I come back to the tire center around 3:30 after not receiving a phone call. Turns out they just brought my car into the bay after the time they told me that my would be ready. Total disregard for my time and nobody even tried to provide an update or let me know anything. I end up sitting in Costco for two and half hours to three hours while the Tire Center employees provide poor customer service for someone spending $1400 on tires. Hire more professional people or get new management. Don't waste the customers time. read more
