This is a very busy Costco location. There was a line to enter the store. There was a line leave the store. There were very long lines to check out even with all registers open. the store seems to have been built in another generation. It is an old warehouse building and it looks very much like a warehouse. I came in to get toilet paper, which was located at the very back of the store - past The bakery, meats, the produce and behind these sections is where I found toilet paper and paper towels, but I thought would be a quick run and turned out to be about 20 minutes to get one thing really not a long time look for in and out about 12 minutes too long read more

This review is specifically for the TIRE SHOP. I've been researching tires for my Honda Civic and found the brand I wanted at Costco. I ordered ahead to have them shipped to the store and scheduled installment. First of all, they were delivered about four days early! I'm not mad! That allowed me to have them installed on the weekend and gave me the additional peace of mind. My tire light actually came on while I was driving to the store. Talk about stressed! I had a flat tire and the guy plugged it. Lets just say, his attire didn't give me assurance that he knew what he was doing. AND, this was my second plugged tire (that first one was already replaced). I went ahead and replaced all four tires. At 60,000 miles I was trying to get at least 10,000 more, but peace of mind is priceless. Danny, the representative at the counter gave me faith that he knew what he was doing. It was a seamless process. I dropped the car off, did some shopping, and it was ready before I was done perusing the aisles. It was a good experience! read more

Out of town costco executive member for decades, my husband and I stopped by to grab gas before our 4 hour drive back home, and see if they had anything our Norfolk VA Costco doesn't. It was a Monday 11ish to about 1ish. Definitely got busier as the time went on(which is normal for costco's) but i would recommend better check out lines/a better system for less chaos. There were like 4 closed only 2 or 3 lanes open on the right and then self checkout which was so cramped. The closed lanes on left had carts full of items needed to be put back on shelves, some trash, and just looked bizarre to be closed when the customer check out lines went most of way down the main aisle. Just didn't make sense why some employees stand around (one employee at the self checkout even asked another employee if it was time for a lunch break yet! ok...) while the customers start to get impatient and no one can move around and shop or just check out and get out of there. Like i said i've never been to this location and just made my Norfolk Costco look like a dream(which i heard it's pretty small too but i'll say this experience made me thankful my location has amazing employees that are always nice and helpful with the lines and efficient with scanning while in line or just directing folks where to go). Not sure if this is the normal at the white marsh location but the customers in line near us seemed to say it may be and one said they need more staff, which i saw a few just standing around at the front desk. Seems a higher up may need to make a trip there to help figure a better plan. Good luck, i love Costco and enjoy stopping in other ones when our of town but this one was just a mess! read more

Parking is a nightmare! You have to scan your card on your phone to get in. It is so overwhelming and the customers are rude! I had two people literally run their cart INTO ME while making eye contact. I don't feel like I can shop in this location safely or comfortably and I will never be back. Not worth it in my opinion. I'm an Aldi girl. I don't need bulk food. I live in a tiny studio apartment with a fridge that is over a decade old, that is falling apart. I don't need three jars of mayo at once. I don't need 6 frozen pizzas. However, once a month, my mom takes me and my boyfriend to Costco to stock up our food supplies because I only get $150 in food stamps a month, which is pretty much only $35 a week, and who can live on that? The three main issues I have with this Costco are: parking, check-out, and the bathroom. No matter when I go to Costco - in the middle of the day, in the evening, on the weekend, in the middle of the week - the parking situation is ridiculous. I rarely don't fear that I will get run down crossing the lane of traffic between the parking lot and the store. And there's never enough accessible parking. This week I realized that every situation was going to be exacerbated by the fact that Christmas is right around the corner, but I was still appalled by the laziness of the customers. There are several cart return areas available. There's no need to take up premium parking spaces with a collection of carts. My mom was in the process of returning her cart, and someone else's abandoned cart (so we could get out of our parking spot) when a random woman came over and tried to park her cart in the same area. My mom was like, "The cart return is right there!" How do you shop at Costco (or any grocery place) and not understand cart return areas? The check-out line is confusing. Which line is for self check-out? Which is regular check-out? How can I tell? The line is so long that I can't see the registers from that far. And people are trying to get out of the medication aisles, or get into the lines from other aisles, and there are employees yelling directions instead of opening another register. It's ALWAYS like this. Then, this visit, I had a pretty terrible experience in the bathroom because someone able-bodied was using the wheelchair accessible stall, and taking her sweet ass time about it. Why do so many places have so many small stalls? Why not have lesser stalls, but make them larger? Because I couldn't close the stall door, once I had my pants down and was sitting on the toilet. And my boyfriend is my careperson, so he had to sit out in the main area to wait while I did my business, instead of joining me in the stall and keeping him out of eyesight. This is the game we have to play when there isn't a family or gender neutral bathroom. Also, the stall was so small that it's like slam dancing. There's no way that I can transfer from my wheelchair onto the toilet without banging my hips on the door, the toilet paper roll dispenser, the sanitary pad trash bin. I shouldn't come away from a bathroom experience with bruises. Thing is, these days all three of these issues are found EVERYWHERE. Why does customer satisfaction matter so little? These problems aren't difficult to fix, but corporations don't care if we leave angry, just as long as we spent our money. I'm not going to sing the praises of a store that could not give less of a damn about me, and whether I return. read more

This Costco is so bad. As much as I hate the fact that the products I come here for are often out of stock, that's not what makes me despise this location. It's the layout that gets this place one star. The first problem is the entrance. There is a long straight aisle with a lot of blockage on the left and electronics on the right. Every time I visit, people just meander along looking at the electronics unaware of the fact that people are trying to enter the store behind them and there isn't enough room to get by. Traffic jam every time. On bad days, it spills past the entrance and their are a line of people waiting to just get in the store. The second, and even larger problem, is the exit. The exit door, cafe and line exits all filter in to one area. A colossal cluster of people that are exiting a line, others trying to get out of the store and have their receipt checked and others that are just trying to order food and enjoy an afternoon snack with their friends and family. There is no room, tensions run hot and it is...just the worst. If you are fortunate enough to live anywhere near another Costco, I suggest going there instead. If you have to go to this one, hopefully you are able to go during non peak hours. I know I was never lucky enough to do that. read more

I ordered my 4 tires on Monday 8/25/25, and was scheduled for install on 8/28/25. I just got home and went to clean the tires; because they looked dirty and used. When I started cleaning the front passenger tire I noticed the front fender had about 10 small scratches on it like someone scraped something across it. I know they were not there when they pulled the car into the shop. I had just washed and waxed my car the day before. I was going to go back and say something but we all know what they would say. "We didn't do that, it was like that", last time I ever get anything done at the tire center, it's not worth it. also the guys at the counter need customer service lesson, both days they acted like they could give a sh*t about you. read more

While I was waiting to get a pizza pie after shopping at this location, I stood there watching an employee named Ana, who was working close to around 5pm. She was manning the counter majority of the time while I was there waiting. She made her job seem very fun. We need more people like Ana in the service industry. I couldnt believe how effectively she was working behind the counter and it was refreshing to someone with a smile whenever she spoke to a customer. It was like watching a orchestra play and she was the maestro. The wait wasnt so bad watching her work. I hope all the best for her at Costco. read more

I wasn't going to post this BUT...since apparently COSTCO is sticking to DEI, which is fine, I think the upper management should know that at this particular location there is a lady cashier, who is African, who has ZERO problem mocking and bad mouthing a young black American mother to a white American lady who had to use a scooter. The white lady asked the African cashier did the young mother use an Independence Card (solely because she had about $700 worth of food) and the African cashier said yes and they both had just the best time bad mouthing this young lady. They said some of the MOST vile things. The lady in the scooter was so mad bc HER TAXES were being used to fund the mother's food. Meanwhile she's on a scooter most likely paid for by Medicare and she mentioned she's on Social Security. The African cashier talked so badly about this mother. I had to keep so calm because if it weren't for black Americans, she would not even be welcomed in this country. She was the most unprofessional person I've ever been around. This happened right around the beginning of the school year. I will not get a new membership ever. I hope she gets fired. read more

The reason I gave 1 star to this is because of a racist employee at this location. The employee is the white hair guy who stands at the check out door that check people receipt when you walk out. He is very racist to us today! There was a lady with 2 full carts in front of us, he even didn't look at their receipt and he just checked the receipt and let them go out. When it's our turn, we have him the receipt, our cart didn't even full at all. We got 12 items in the cart. He held our receipt and kept counting and counting. Then he yelled out loud "do you have another receipt". We were like "no, this is the only receipt they gave us". Then he stool there looking at the receipt and our cart, then continue counting ... it was a long line behind us. Then he yelled out again "there is no egg in here" , he pointed into the receipt. I said "there should be egg in there". He made us came back to the receptionist, and there was a very long line behind. I came back to the receptionist and told them that the guy at the door said there is no egg in the receipt. The receptionists told us that it's called cage free in the receipt. I walked back to that guy and showed him "cage free" is the egg. He even didn't apologize to us and said "oh, the receipt didn't say egg". He DID NOT even apologize. he instead kept making an excuse about his rudeness and racism. I got to come back in and talk to the manager, Tyler, about that. The manager said it's not good and he will take care of this. I don't know if this matter will be taken care of not but that's what Tyler told me. Please be careful with this location and hopefully you won't get the same experience as we did. read more

I came here just to get a tire looked at and they told me it might be about an hour and a half because it was kind of busy . To my surprise in less than 30 minutes they called me and let me know that my vehicle is ready . So just walking around the store they had all kinds of goodies as Costco always does and I found a few extra things that I liked and took home also . The food court was great and very busy and even had a few things I hadn't seen before so I had to try some of their new snacks. read more

I have been going to this Costco for the last 4.5 years while living in Baltimore. It is the closest Costco to living in Baltimore, and is more convenient than going south or north to either Glen Burnie or Owings Mills. This Costco is a little older, but as we all know that doesn't necessarily mean anything about the quality of the items they sell. I will say that this costco is not as "bougie" as the other Costco's in DC, or Northern VA, or even in Baltimore metro area. However, the staff are very nice and have always been pleasant, which I CANNOT say about the Costco's in Northern VA. They recently installed self-checkout machines smack dab in the middle of the checkout lanes. I honestly think this started off being not great becuase they didn't have an employee there overseeing things, but now that they have one or two people there telling us when to go and how, that the process has gone a lot smoother. read more

This Costco is decent, nothing special and nothing bad. If you go on a weekend, it can be a madhouse. Hit it on a Monday-Thursday evening after 6 pm and you're golden. Gas prices are great and unlike BJ's, their gas hoses actually reach the other side of the car without effort or extra pulling. I also like that all warehouse coupons automatically deduct at the register without having to clip or digitally add coupons to my membership card. read more

Every Costco warehouse seems nearly identical. However, if you look closely, you will find that about 95% is the same and there are 5% of the products are targeted at the local demographic. I've never had any hesitations about the White Marsh Costco. It's always clean and organized. My favorite part of this Costco is the younger female employees. They are some of the best looking Costco workers I have ever seen. I love to buy things in bulk because I'm a experienced fugal master. For $50 a year, Costco lets you buy all types of crap in bulk. Be careful what you buy though because most electronics are cheaper on Amazon and you'll regret getting that four gallon tub of jellybeans if you live by yourself. I like to stuff my work locker with bulk granola bars and milk is always cheaper here than the surrounding grocery stores. The meat prices are actually not that great. Pros: Cheap milk and gas. My last trip was horrible. I first started off getting a hotdog with my fiancee. They were out of sauerkraut and ketchup. The former was ok since its a nice extra but the latter i think was just wrong. This is a costco afterall.... After the hotdog I wanted to see something out of the jewelry case, so I asked the membership desk to call someone. They did, and I waited for 15 minutes. I went up again and asked again. The lady said that this guy was not answering calls to help all day. This is the closest Costco to where I live in Baltimore City. It's not the cleanest or the biggest, but it serves its purpose well -- bulk buys and super sizes. What can I say? I eat a lot; therefore, I tend to buy a lot of produce and groceries (and snacks!). For me, Costco is the way to go. I typically spend between 1.5 and 2 hours here every three weeks. Along with stocking up on food items at Costco, there's also other useful I occasionally need such as vitamins, shampoo/conditioner, laundry stuff, ink refills, books/dvds, electronics, clothing, furniture, etc. It's a great place to get all your buying needs done. Best yet are the samples and also the mini-cafe after the checkout. Could always use a slice of supreme pizza or a cheap, yet big hot dog. read more

This review is just about the mini-cafe. When I was a kid Costco's take out food menu was limited to soft pretzels and frozen lemonade. That has changed for the better. Costco's cafe has quality food at the best price. I always grab something to eat when I visit Costco. FOOD: THE GOOD: Can I just say how amazing the pizza dough is here? My favorite part of the pizza is the crisp and chewy crust. And their condiment section is worthy of applause: ketchup, TWO types of mustard, relish, fresh onions, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese powder! The frozen yogurt is pretty good too. THE BAD: I miss the old polish sausages they used to serve at the same price as the hot dogs. The new Italian sausage sandwich isn't as tasty and is harder to eat. I also wish their churros were skinny to maximize the dough to cinnamon sugar ratio. Overall, the options are great and the prices even better! I'd go to Costco just to eat. read more

I have only been to two different Costco's. This one, and one in PA. This one is a little smaller than the other one, but seems to have the things I need. The lines are really long sometimes which is kind of a pain, but Sam's club is the same way. They could definitely improve on having more open registers so the wait isn't so long. The produce and poultry here are great. The chicken breasts here are great and come packaged really well, unlike what you see in the supermarket. The fruit is good as well. I highly recommend the Kirkland Turkey Burgers as well as their Salmon burgers in the frozen section. There is also a gas station there for cheaper gas for members, often $.10 cheaper than market prices. Pretty easy to get too, and a decent sized parking lot. read more
