Not that they weren't before, aside from the one-off, but recently employees are roaming the aisles intentionally looking for somebody to help. And I'm here for it!!! I've been Lowe's hopping trying to decide on paint colors for a Spring Refresh. Carl, in the paint shop, was especially helpful today! He walked me through my options and helped me decide based on interior/exterior, etc. It was a pleasant experience finally making those decisions and checking it off my list. Of course, I can't visit Lowe's without a visit to talk with the plants. The last Lowe's I visited didn't have many plants, but now that Spring has sprung, they're out! I didn't mean to buy six plants, but who can resist. Some were on clearance and my new fetish is buying cactus plants. AND, I had to buy something colorful to plant in front of the house. There you go. Done. Oh, and a monstera that I've been wanting. It was on clearance so, it doesn't really count. I don't think I'd been to this Lowe's before, but I like it. OH, did you know they have a section called "The Back Aisle"? It's like a clearance section for the whole store. I hadn't seen it before but found it on accident. One more thing for me to visit on my future Lowe's visits. Check it out.

We…read morecontacted a few places to get repair quotes for a few chips, cracks, a wide/warped seam, and we also wanted to get the counter re-sealed. Chris, the owner, was very responsive and friendly. His quote was slightly lower but quite similar to the other companies who responded, and we decided to go with him based on the price, his responsiveness, and the reviews on here (particularly the previous review with the seam repair, as the "before" seam looked exactly like ours!). Scheduling was straightforward and we were able to get our ideal day/time the following week. Two guys arrived on time and they got to work right away to fix all of the issues. They were here for quite awhile, and worked really hard to get everything looking great. The seam is now closed up and is MUCH less obvious. The two stone pieces were also uneven, with one jutting out past the other, and they completely fixed it- you would never know! The cracks and chips are all sealed and barely visible, and we haven't had any issues with the counters since their visit. Chris sent us a link before our visit so that we could pay by credit card at the end of the visit (otherwise we could have paid by cash or check). Overall, two thumbs up and we will definitely be calling them in the future if we have any issues with our counters!

Most of the time you will have to hit the self checkout lines (because they don't have any cashiers working). This can be especially annoying when one of them is down and one is card only. You will be at the mercy of how quickly the rest of the customers can check out. Of course, when I went around noon on a Wednesday, most of the people using the self checkout have probably never used a computer. The 'register monitor' just kind of stood in the middle of the floor, refusing to assist in any way. Maybe it was a source of entertainment for her and helped her to pass the slow Wednesday afternoon.

I made calls there and on two occasions, he didn't properly put me on hold and I heard him not only disrespect a colleague asking a simple question, but also berated me while not realizing I could hear every word. Picking up items was also a taxing chore. Last year, there were these two men there that made my pickups very easy. Now there's some woman there who refuses to work and I heard her complain and say she would get the other guys to do her job for her. Luckily it was the short bald guy who actually did his job that I was cool with but now he's not working there anymore. I have since left previous employer and have NO intention of ever shopping there again until new and more competent management take over. I had a pretty hectic move in day because of my personal oversight on what I needed day of move. I will say the mover driver was a bit predatory because they had to wait for me to get my cashiers check and it was a Sunday where all banks are closed. He said he would have to charge me for the wait time but then when it was time to pay made it seem like he made that up as a way to get more money out of me and said he could just apply the wait time fee to the tip instead. I did not appreciate that as I was already planning to tip. I will say when the company I used previously I did appreciate that they wrapped everything they moved. This company did not do that I'm not sure if it is something they offer and it's just extra. Overall my biggest issues was with the movers and that I lost a few items but overall a decent experience.

This past week, Jeremy and I visited because he wanted to get a knife bag. He received some new knives for Christmas - this year and years passed - and he wants to bring them with him when we go to our friends' house to make dinners. We do this quite frequently. We celebrate all the birthdays, and all the holidays - even stuff like Cinco de Mayo, and Chinese New Year. We'll take any excuse to gather together, smoke some pot, eat some good food, and enjoy our fellowship with these wonderful people. People we just met, oddly enough, less than two years ago and who I cannot imagine my life without. Weird how the Universe works. This was our second time visiting this store, and it's all set up to sell you everything you might need for Superb Owl. I don't care about sportsball, but we still managed to spend close to $100 on knives and peppers. I can't explain it. But it needed to be done and I'm happy that I could accomplish the task. I swear next Christmas I am buying all my friends brisket knives. This store is SO fun. You should visit it just to have an adventure. But I bet you buy something because the prices are super reasonable.
