I had time to browse the store and compare prices to the grocery stores I normally shop at, they definitely are better priced with a lot of items. Stopped here this past Sunday to get gas. The line wasn't too bad. Maybe ten cars in front of me. Pulled up to the pump. Hopped out of the car to pay the friendly gas attendant in cash. $25 on 12 please. What do you know it only took $20. Back to the attendant to get my change. The more and more we shop here, the less and less I have faith shopping here after purchasing a few damaged items or items, not up to par. For the past month, we have had to return items that were not fresh or moldy. Now, we will have to return again with packaged items not sealed nor packaged well. Tonight, we picked up a few essential items: bread, milk, vegetables, butter, to name a few. Hubby picked up Michael Aneglo's lasagna for tonight's dimmer, only to find both trays of lasagna was not totally sealed or properly covered. Due to that this item contains dairy and meat products, we didn't want to take the chance on eating them and getting sick. I am truly getting tired of wasting gas to return back to the store to return damaged goods. My next step will be to contact corporate regarding this matter. read more

I have to wonder why I'm paying money for a membership for the privilege to shop here and apparently be harassed by home improvement shills intent on chasing people down and forcing their sales pitch down our throats. Self checkout lanes are a joke. Every single time I use them there is an issue. Either stuff won't scan, you have to remove everything from the belt and start over, or coupons aren't working. Press the need assistance button and the one person working takes forever to come over and they usually have to come back more than once. I thought the electronic clipped coupon feature was really convenient until I noticed not all of my coupons were being deducted automatically. Have NEVER had that problem with Costco. And they give the coupons without having to "clip" them. I can never find things in the store despite the aisles being labeled. Tried to find pizza rolls earlier and they are not with the labeled "pizza" area. The lighting is bad and makes the place seem desolate. The only reason I shop here is because I have the BJ's MasterCard and earn cash back and also get 10 cents off a gallon every time I get gas. BJ's is to Walmart as Costco is to Target. read more

I love this BJS they are clean and very organized. Everything always stocked and just perfectly. I enjoy the multiple samples given on certain days served by friendly staff that are knowledgeable about what products they're serving. They're able to answer most questions that are thrown at them. The prices are amazing and most things are in bulk but still better priced than normal markets. Just do some math and most of the time you can save $1 or more just by shopping here. Luckily they accept coupons and mail out coupons of their own. It's a win win situation. I die for their lunch meat prices! They serve Dietson Watson brand for around $6.99/lb normally this brand runs around $8.99 in other locations. As well they have various other well known brands like Land O Lakes, Krakus, etc. The cashiers can be iffy sometimes running between those that are friendly and those that don't seem to care too much for their job. I like Bj's . I was a member , and then decided not to rejoin because I'm a member of Sams club and Costco . I do like Bj's deli department ,neither Costco nor Sams club have a deli. Also I got to renew for $25 dollars . Which was a plus. They also allow you to use manufacture coupons beside their own coupons that they offer. I really don't like having to sort through their coupon book , but if you want to save money, you have to do a little work . They have different things that the other two warehouses don't have . The customer service at the help desk is atrocious and really slow. It was like the Matrix. I tried to return an unopened package of Gillette Proglide Cartridges and was told there is a mandate not to accept returns of beauty items. How in the Blue Hell does anyone consider razor blades a beauty item? BJ's is typical of an idiot being in charge. Also, here are some points that they need to address: 1) I really liked to sit down and have a hot dog and Pepsi for a snack. Why did they have to mess that up and get rid of that? Really a bone-head decision. 2) Why did they stop selling chicken breasts with bones? Chicken breasts with bones is the only way to barbecue. 3) Bj's sells Rao pasta sauce, which is famous for their sensitive stomach sauce. Guess what. BJ's doesn't carry the sensitive stomach sauce. Is that stupid or not? Someone doesn't know their products and should be fired. 4) The carts used to take a quarter to unlock, which you would get back when you returned it. They stayed in reasonably good shape that way. Now that the carts are totally in very bad shape. Another bad idea at BJ's. 5) When I received my pick-up items, the person just threw them in the back of my wagon without a being in a box. This is just about the kind of service you can expect at BJ's. They even got the order wrong. 6) When you arrive at the store for your pick-up they should have a telephone line dedicated to calling and informing them you are they to pick up your order. Not everyone has a smartphone. 7) When you call the store to speak to the manager, they actually hang up on you. That is, when they answer the telephone, which is definitely not often. read more

I was leaving for vacation and had a 6 hour drive ahead that the family was looking forward to. On August 8th, 2019 I placed an online order with BJ's Wholesale Club (first time doing so), it was supposed to be delivered in 2 days once everything was in stock. Everything I ordered was in stock. I was going to be out of town for a week, so it worked for me to have it delivered before I left. I tracked the package from the time it was shipped on 8/9/19, it stopped dead on 8/12/19 at 6.35am at the UPS facility, since then I have not seen the package. I got in touch with the corporate office on 8/15, they responded very quickly but I have still not seen the package as of 8/28, they reached out to their order department and UPS who they said is doing an investigation which will take 8 to 10 days, after that time I will get a refund back to my card. Another one of my grandmother's favorite places to shop. Keep in mind she normally wouldn't splurge to pay the membership fee, but she somehow negotiated a free trial that has lasted several months (another sign of how we're related... always networking). This BJ's seems larger than most and it even has a gas station. I was tempted to fill up my tank. That didn't last long because the line was about 10 cars deep and my time was worth more than the 4 cents per gallon savings. Even though the line at the gas station was long, the lines inside were not. I was actually very surprised at how many cashiers were working (surprised in a good way). Make sure you have a quarter. You'll need it to put a deposit down on a cart. Don't worry - you get your money back once it is safely returned. read more

If you have babies, BJs diapers are the shizz. They may not be as nice a pampers, but really, you strap it to the baby, they pee in it, and you throw it away. We have twins and switched to BJs diapers after a few months of spending millions of dollars on name brand diapers. Best decision ever. A big box is usually like $8 cheaper than Pampers, has more, plus you often get like $6 off coupons in the mail or at the counter. We switched to BJs wipes too, which are nice and actually bigger than Pampers or Huggies wipes. You can also buy baby formula in bigger containers here. And when you switch to milk, that's almost a dollar cheaper than at a grocery store. With 3 kids, we buy everything here now. snacks, bread, dinner meats, even custom made birthday cakes. Hubs and I shop here often on the weekends in an attempt to save on cat products (litter, food, etc.), and we've found that it's helpful for other items that we like to buy in bulk. We've discovered a lot of great deals on grocery items - we're able to buy organic items a LOT cheaper here than at the supermarket, so we do get them when we can. A lot of the generic items (they're tagged Berkeley and Jensen) are very good - the laundry items in particular save us a bundle of money (although we don't recommend some things - the B&J's cat litter is NOT a good deal for us). Surprisingly, there are a lot of "healthier" items available and we take full advantage of them. Lots of other things to purchase here, too, which can lead you astray in the wallet department if you don't have steel resolve. The gasoline prices are VERY good here, if you're looking to fill up the tank (although the line to the pumps can be a huge pain in the butt). We don't take advantage of this very often because we usually have to fill up elsewhere before we can get here. But if you live fairly close by, you'll save a bundle on gas for the car. Staff is polite and helpful most of the time. Membership fees are much more reasonable than similar places (such as Sam's or Costco). One thing that attracted us to BJ's was the fact that we could choose our payment method - Costco doesn't take any other credit card than American Express, which (for us, at the time) was a huge inconvenience. BJ's, on the other hand, will take all payment methods, including Discover, which is great sometimes when we don't have the Amex handy. My only complaint about BJ's is that the refrigerated sections of the market portion of the store are EXTREMELY cold - I often find myself wishing for a sweater when I walk by there, but it's a minor inconvenience. The crowds on the weekends can be a big pain, too - the BJ's on Music Fair Drive is much less populated and more quiet. But this one is the closest location to where we live. Also, our experience with the produce items at this location has been a little less than stellar. It usually seems to go bad pretty fast unless it's prepackaged, so we tend to go to the local Giant for those types of items. Definitely worth your while to stop in and look around, though, if you're into this sort of thing. read more

Check dates on everything! Many times I have bought expired items from here . Most recently there was a pallet of out of date organic Mac and cheese. We went to customer service about it and they could have cared less , she just tossed the pack on a back table and went about her business. No one was called to pull the items off the shelf , they're probably still there now. read more

This BJ's had more self check-outs open than registers. This might be ok for some but the lack of attention to detail is too great. The self check-out assistant was running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to do the work of 5 cashiers while fixing various technical difficulties with the self check out machines themselves. Add to this, he failed to clean up a gross unidentifiable liquid on the self check out area after fixing the coupon box issue. All this so that the ceo can have a few extra million in bonuses and we can have few more million folks on unemployment? Bullshit. Hire a fucking human! If you can you should visit another location...specifically those that have humans instead of malfunctioning robots! read more

Previously a Costco person but the one here is too far away and I didnt use it enough to justify membership. So i Enrolled here with the free trial offer and have enjoyed it a lot. Expected selection of huge cans/bottles/packages of pantry staples etc. Produce is very high quality, definitely on par w Costco. Love the BJs store brand items, flavored soda water is great. Store is crowded but checkout is a breeze, much quicker than experiences at SAMs or Costco. Be sure to have a quarter for the shopping cart return incentive. read more

BJ's is my one-stop-shop if I need to "stock up". Mostly I find that BJ's is perfect for buying meats, work clothes and anything that you eat a lot of within a short amount of time. If I had to compare BJ's to that of Costco: the bakery isn't as good and the food court of BJ's just doesn't live up to Costco's.. but it is still a rather nice establishment that offers quality products. read more

This review is only for the tire center since I frequent BJ's for food items all the time without incident. The absolute ONLY reason to get your tires here is because they had the best deal hands down compared to everyone else I looked at but that deal came with it's own "additional cost". The website is mostly useless because many tires listed are actually discontinued but the site makes no mention. The button to buy the tires were missing for some tires or just didn't work for the others and the tire center mechanics confirmed that the site was not to be trusted​ at all. Unlike ANY tire shop you've ever been to, you're required to show up in person to buy the tires and service way before the shop ever touched your car. I paid for tires they had to special order and then they will call you to schedule an appointment that are filling up so fast it could be days before you go back to have the service done. While I've been trying to schedule this appointment, I've never been able to reach the tire department without having the service desk page them because they are NEVER in the department no matter what time of day you call their extension. Many times the tire department never did pick up and I'm being asked to call back because there is no voicemail system. Eventually my car got serviced but took longer than expected because the mechanic admitted he couldn't figure out how to drive my manual transmission car to get it into the shop! I give 2 stars only because of the great price but it's going to take some convincing to bring me back for the deal based on the stress I had to deal with to get it. read more
