I really love having a Costco in my neighborhood. Saves so much time from having to shop at locations across town. Though I wish they had a gas station. It is super busy on weekends though. Best time to shop if you can is early on weekdays. They have a huge parking lot though it can be a bit of a mess to get out of sometimes. I'm a big fan of the sweet treats at the food court-especially the sundaes. The employees are generally pretty nice here even though they are always super busy. read more

Is there a better food deal on this earth than the $1.50 Hot Dog Combo at the Costco Food Court? If there is,I've never found it. So many trips to Costco have ended with an inexpensive yet quite filling hot dog in hand. I lather that thing up with mustard and drown it in onions-truly a little moment in heaven....and did I mention it's only $1.50. The Pepperoni Slice at $1.99 is a close second. Costco pizza when served hot off the presses, always hits the spot. On those very special Costco trips,I would do both the Hot Dog Combo and a slice of the Pepperoni-an overwhelmingly filling meal for less than $3.50-got to love it. The food court at this location on weekends or Friday nights can be so hectic-super busy.They have many tables and chairs in the food court where you can find a spot to enjoy your food but it's kind of madness. During the week,on those weekday visits to Costco,the food court is much more manageable and the service is lightning quick. A recent thing I've been really enjoying at the Costco Food Court is their offerings of creative sundaes that they have had for $2.99 or less depending on the toppings. I've really enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae and the now discontinued Caramel Brownie Sundae-both were excellent. In closing, I truly believe that no trip to Costco is complete without a visit to the Costco Food Court-I couldn't recommend it highly enough. read more

This is probably the Costco we visit the most now. At this point we have our routine and regular items we visit for and we always like exploring to see if there are new things to discover. Like most Costco's parking can be a bit rough, but if you're willing to walk a bit you can typically find a spot here. The staff is friendly from the front card scanning area, check out team, and the receipt checking team at the door. They even have extra staff near the registers sometimes that can pre-scan your items to keep the lines moving. We typically come here for produce like potatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, mandarin oranges, along with chicken, eggs, and some home staples. These are typically in stock, good quality, and good value. One item I love here is the Lee's Cafe Latte Frozen Concentrate, this location was carrying it for a long time but I was so bummed when they stopped. There are still some other locations within driving distance that have it but that's the hardest part about falling in love with specialty items, they might not be around for long. Overall this location is clean, organized, and well stocked. It makes shopping for our family a lot easier too. read more

This Costco is a cool addition in Natomas, which really needed this branch b/c there's a big customer base here that were having to drive all the way to Cal Expo Costco (or Roseville, which is even further) and the Expo one's quite busy most of the time and sometimes it's near impossible to find parking there. So after work I sometimes stop by at this Natomas Costco to grab some essentials. On weekends, if we happen to have an event in this part of town or are meeting up with friends, we'd come and do some actual and window shopping too. While the wife does her grocery shopping and take the kids to try the samples (their fav activity at Costco), I usually wander around a bit by myself and see what kinds of new home improvement, tech, outdoors and landscape, household tools, and sports stuff Costco have stocked recently. Window shopping by wandering is fun at Costco. There seems to be more and more try-it-on-the-customers items that come and go that if I don't pay attention then they're gone if they don't sell well or Costco just decides not to give them floor space anymore. Then of course there are the seasonal items, like weed blankets, gardening tools, fertilizer/top soil, etc. and other real useful items at great prices at Costco (vs. other big box stores) that are only available for a short time every year for one season, so I like to be on the lookout for those. Another section I like to check out is the meat cold cases b/c I like meat. With summer around the corner, I saw some cool outdoors and sports equipment recently. There were kids outdoor games to include a cornhole set with LED (talk about fancy) for backyard fun, water slides, bouncy house types, kiddie blow-up outdoors "swimming" (more like dipping) pool, and to my surprise, I saw a couple of nice looking kayaks on sale too, they looked like solid ones and reasonably priced. Next, I went over to the meat section and checked out the goods. We sometimes get the cooked grilled chicken in a vacuum pack for salads and easy meals like stir-fry, sandwiches, etc. Interestingly, there's now a derivation w/this new "Grilled Chipotle Seasoned Chicken." Looks like it's a spicy version of the grilled rotisserie chicken meat packs. Another new product was the thin sliced pork belly shabu shabu style, good value so we can do our own hotpot at home easily now. And the thicker cut pork belly is still available. All in all, this was a good trip to the Natomas Costco, I enjoyed grabbing some meats for meals, and saw lots of cool new products on sale. read more

Adj: Adequately Ample This Costco in Natomas is located at E. Commerce right next to I-5 at the Arena Blvd exit, so it's quite centrally located in this part of town, but it doesn't have a gas station, so it doesn't have the same draw as other branches, but it does the job. Lots of customers every day of the week, but lunchtime on a weekday isn't too busy usually. I visited this time to see if they have some new spring items and was pleasantly surprised by all the new offerings. Lots of spring flowers, veggie and house plants, as well as citrus trees. Some small breed palm trees, as well as flower bulbs too. Also a lot of gardening tools and other supplies. Outdoor patio lights were on sale for those who want to add new ones or replace worn out ones. Interestingly, I saw all this nutritional supplement powders and vitamins in the entrance area where they feature seasonal sale items. I didn't know that's what's popular or promoted in the spring time. One thing though is that I noticed less Asian ingredients and food items. For example, I forgot to grab a jar of sesame oil at the Elk Grove Costco the other day and since I happen to be in this area, I looked for it and couldn't find it. Overall, this was a fruitful trip to this Costco to see what they have that maybe different from my more frequented locations in Elk Grove and South Sac. This is an adequately ample Costco, but not an awesome one, it does have fewer people though so maybe that's the trade-off. read more

I went to this Costco in Natomas , using my own membership unfortunately I was short funds and my son was paying for my groceries ,the cashier wouldn't allow it and states it's the new policy I never heard of such a policy they made it a point to make me feel embarrassed holding up the line as if we were doing something wrong in these times of hardship that everyone is going through I don't see why they wouldn't allow it family helping one another shouldn't be frowned upon You need to do better Costco !!! read more

I love Costco, and the North Natomas location has won me over! This location is definitely in my weekly/semi weekly rotation for grocery shopping. In fact, this location feels like a smaller version of the other warehouses. It's a little friendlier, a little more home town feel, and a lot more of " new stuff". The parking lot is definitely oddly configured and every time I'm here, half of the people can't seem to figure out the flow of it. This location is fairly well stocked with anything and everything that makes us fall in love with Costco. The garden items, the clothing, the electronics, and so much more. Initially, I found that Customer Service was greatly lacking, and then realized over the last several months. It's just been growing pains. This is the newest location within the Sacramento area. The customer service has greatly improved, in fact, I find that the friendliness really exceeds many of the other Costco locations. I really love that this location has a better variety of fresh fish, meat, and produce. If you love their rotisserie chickens, and they're prepared foods, maybe it's because the equipment is newer, but everything taste better from this location! The rotisserie chickens and another prepared food are made and ready to go as early as 9 AM when the warehouse opens. The bakery has a variety of pastries and delicious cakes, and I love that they still offer cake ordering. Although, the price has really gone up. The only thing missing from this location, which is not going to happen, is they really needed to add a gas station. It is what it is. This Costco is great. Parking can be a bit of a challenge and there is no gas station unfortunately but they bring in enough good products that it makes up for it. The store is always nice and clean, and the clothes section is constantly being tidied. I have noticed the prices climbing on a lot of food and even the roses but that seems to be everywhere these days. read more

I shop at Costco regularly and have always enjoyed coming here, but the situation at the checkout has become completely unacceptable. About 10% of the time, I end up dealing with the same employees who are consistently rude and unprofessional. They tell customers to unload all of their own items onto the belt, even though employees at other Costco locations usually help with that. But what really surprises me is what happens after the items are scanned. The cashier simply stands there watching while the customer has to load everything back into the cart, or they walk away and start doing something else. In the end, the customer unloads the cart, waits while everything is scanned, and then has to load it all back again. I wouldn't be writing this review if it had only happened once. The problem is that it keeps happening with the same employees. When I refuse to do their job for them, they call a supervisor. Unfortunately, the supervisor doesn't resolve the situation and simply allows this behavior to continue. I've shopped at many Costco locations, and I've never experienced this kind of treatment anywhere else. I hope the management of this warehouse takes this issue seriously, reminds employees of Costco's customer service standards, and finally addresses the problem. Customers come to Costco expecting great service--not arguments at the checkout over basic employee responsibilities. If management doesn't see this as a problem, then it is knowingly allowing the quality of service to decline. It's disappointing to see this location fall so far below the standards of every other Costco I've visited. read more

I finally made it to check this Costco in Natomas! It's a nice size without the gas station! What a bummer!! They offer clothing, toys, tires, TVs, appliances, food, snacks, fresh and frozen vegetables, pharmacy, OTC meds, vitamins, and much more!! The food court is inside. I like that. I enjoy sitting inside when it's hot. ;) I did not interact with the employees on the floor. The cashier was cheerful and cordial. The lines moved quickly. Their gift cards are always of value. Went out of town for a week and left car at airports. Arrived back and battery was dead. I drive to Costco for new battery. Asked Andrew at the tire depot to barrow channel locks or wrench to remove battery. They declined and said they can't help. Worst experience. They will leave you stranded. Horrible service. I'd have to say that I like this Costco better on the weekdays. Weekends are just crazy. Too many people and lines at the register are super long. The weekdays (especially during work hours if you're available at that time) are definitely better with less people and no lines at the registers. Samples when available is always a plus. Parking is not too bad. There's plenty of parking both on the side and in front. Location is right off the hwy, so it's easy to get to as well. Unfortunately, there's no gas station at this specific location, so if you're looking for gas, it's better to go to a different Costco. First time visiting this location! Not much to say in the way of it being any different than other Costcos. It just felt new walking in since we'd never been before. I do like the location of this one though - they have a Starbucks, Chipotle and a Wendy's in the same parking lot where you can get 10% off your order if you show your Costco membership card. Certain areas felt more spacious which I liked. I loved seeing all of their holiday stuff out on display as well! Only con is that they do not have a gas station since there was already a Chevron station next door before they started building. I also really liked that their food court is inside. Meh... this is a newer Costco location I'm the Natomas area of Sacramento. It's just like any other Costco but the one thing it lacks is: a GAS STATION!! The parking lot is big enough, and they scan membership cards at the entrance, too. The food court is inside and the layout is pretty much like the one on Clinton Keith in Murrieta down south. I like that it's brand new, but not having a gas station is a major bummer! They DO, however, have the Rosemary Parmesan Loaf and yes, I did buy it again!! LOL read more

I was excited for the opening as it is very close to home. Had not renewed my membership when it ended in 2005. I already decided that maybe it would be worth my while being so close that I would reopen it. Stopped by one month after the opening hoping it would not be crazy and that the glitches would have been resolved. Well its been a year and I renewed for another year but downgraded from Executive to standard for $65. They gave me a gift card for upgrading last year during their opening so it paid for the difference. It is just the two of us so we don't buy a ton. They do have good deals on larger items and saved $600 on a fridge. After recently visiting the awful chaos of the Roseville location, I am more appreciative of this one. Its not horribly busy except the weekends and even then not too bad. I like how the store is laid out. Things are where you expect it to be. I have not had any negative experiences with the staff as others have mentioned. I like that they have ample seating for the snack area because you just can't beat the hot dog and drink for a buck-fifty!! Now the downsides. Membership increased by $5 on all levels. The rewards program is kind of a stinker. It accumulates over the year and you are not allowed to use it until the year is up. I saved up everything so I could put it towards the fridge but they are not allowed to be used on online orders!! so I ended up buying boring food with it. The lady at membership told me after the fact that they can convert it to a shop card that can be used online. Too late now! They do NOT have a gas station which is why so many sign up for a membership. And their pharmacy has been terrible. I order my pet meds here because they are the cheapest but when they don't have it in stock and they don't inform you until you get there. I just gave up altogether and started ordering on Chewy. Not sure how they are with human meds but for this, it is very unreliable. Another time it was sent to the Elk Grove location so I asked if they could transfer it and she said yes but when we got there, there was no record it ever existed. If it was not so close to home, I probably would not renew. I don't think the cost savings outweighs the membership fee because it seems we never walk out of there for less than $70 for a just a few items that I really didn't need. I suppose it is the novelty of it all and seems handy for special occasions like holiday gifts or when I need to buy a party platter. read more

Considering it took Costco until March 2024 to open a location in the North Natomas part of Sacramento, this was well worth the wait. It also lessens the massive amount of North Natomas/Davis/Rio Linda/Elverta customers going to Woodland as well as the South Natomas/Midtown customers going to Exposition Blvd (near Cal Expo). I came here for the first time during the morning of Sunday 6/9/2024 at around 10:35am. As far as the location itself, they are situated directly off of northbound I-5 and at the intersection off of Arena Blvd and E. Commerce Way while being very close to where the old Arco Arena/Sleep Train Arena once stood. I will say that the parking lot is quite spacious as they carefully designed and planned this out well. However, a major drawback of this location (which upset a lot of the locals) is that there is no gas station. This may change as this area actually does have the room & space to accommodate a gas station so time will tell if it gets approved or not in the years to come. However, I did witness several EV charging ports which are allowed exclusively only for Costco members. The interior layout is actually one of the high points of this Costco. Unlike Exposition Blvd. where you are bumping shoulder-to-shoulder with a customer, the Natomas location offers very wide aisles which make it easy shopping with your cart and stopping for free samples in the food area. You will also find the food court located inside as well as other standard amenities that includes hearing aids, optical department, pharmacy, and a tire service center. All in all, this is one of the better "Costco Wholesale" warehouses in the greater Sacramento. Easy to navigate around, wide stocked selection, and easy accessibility leaving the parking lot and getting to the surface streets and the I-5 freeway. Aside from not having a gas station, I will still give this location an above average four stars. read more

Costco is my all time favorite store. I was so excited for this one opening in Natomas. They have everything you need in terms of the necessities. However, I miss the specialized Asian food that they have at the South Sac Costco. There's no Costco gas station either. There's a Chevron closer to the Wendy's and Chipotle side. This might be a good thing because there aren't crazy car lines blocking your entrance to Costco. There are some non-Tesla EV chargers next to the entrance of Costco. I never used them though. Employees are always helpful as always. The location is kept very clean, unlike the South Sac location lol. read more

Located right off the freeway and easy to get to this Costco still has the new car smell. Parking sucks but that's just like every Costco. The food court is located inside at this spot. Waited an hour in line on opening day, very exciting. People were lining up around the building. The parking lot is big but not big enough! People were parking in the red, on sidewalks, on grass, neighboring parking lots, across the street, behind the building, everywhere it was a mess! I hope it's not always like this, I assume it's just the new store feeling. Very busy inside for 7AM. Reminds me of how Arden gets on the weekends. They had plenty of staff that were very friendly and kept order in what felt like an unorganized chaos. Luckily, this store is right by me so I will be here often. They had a lot of unique items and discounts for the first day. The pizza was probably one of the best I've had at any of the locations it was nice and crunchy. Well they had their grand opening yesterday and the news said the lines were long and Old Forester Bourbon was a hot item, people drove from as far as Fresno to get it. Well it was nowhere to be found and I was informed it was gone by 8:30 am on the grand opening. 'So you want a Turbo Man? The store is sparkling new. The crowd was nothing out of the ordinary for a Friday. The clothes were well stocked purchased a couple of Levi jeans. The New York steak was $10 off a package. Rotisserie chickens came in a bag, this is something new. I did not see pumps for gas, there is a Chevron station at the end of the parking lot so maybe that is why. Getting into the parking lot was easy but finding my way out was not. read more

There is absolutely no signal inside this Costco. No bars, no way to make a call or use data. My dad has a loop recorder in his chest to monitor his heart, and it relies on a signal to send alerts. While we were inside, it completely failed. We didn't realize anything was wrong until we left and rushed him to urgent care. If we had stayed longer, the outcome could have been much worse. This isn't just an inconvenience, it's dangerous. People have medical devices that depend on connection. A store this large should not be a total dead zone. Costco needs to fix this before something serious happens to someone else. read more

I've been a long-time Costco member and usually enjoy shopping at the Natomas location, but my visit yesterday around 2 PM raised some serious concerns. There were two dogs inside the store. One was sitting in the food court barking at people, and the other was basically dragged through the aisles by a man who had it in a service dog harness. From their behavior, it was clear neither dog was properly trained or behaving like a legitimate service animal. Just to be clear: Service dogs are not emotional support animals, and no dogs should be inside a grocery store unless they are genuine, trained service animals assisting someone with a disability. Dogs barking at customers or being pulled around by their owners have no place in a food retail setting. What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency. There are employees standing at the front making sure every shopper scans their Costco membership card yet dogs are being let in without question. It's baffling. This isn't just about store rules. It's about health, safety, and respect for all members. Allowing untrained animals into a store that sells food is unacceptable and unsanitary. I hope Costco takes this seriously and begins enforcing its policies more responsibly. read more

Love this Costco. . It's one of the easiest Costco stores to get in and out of in the area. Even when busy the lines move pretty quick. Staff is super friendly. Food court team works with hussel to keep up with the orders. For a new location the placement of the food court almost seems like an afterthought and lines can get a bit unorganized in the limited space. It's amusing how many customers are having imaginary conversations with themselves or employees (not likely in a position to really know) about supposed plans for a fuel center at this location. A Costco fuel center has never been a part of this locations proposed concept for the city and the Chevron on same property was approved and fully constructed long before Costco ever came into the picture. Keep wishing fuel fans, but spare us the conspiracy theories if it never materializes. read more

Customer service for returns: 0/5 The first time, staff had told me there would be no more price adjustments. I asked if it's all the Costco, staff said all Costco and whipped out an email from management stating , well I didn't get to read it until he snatched it away. I called the corporate and was informed warehouse manager would contact me within 3 business days. Never happened. Months later, they are doing price adjustments again. Per staff, too many people complained so they had to restart price adjustments. The audacity. This time, a African-American staff with white gray hair and well shaven beard + baby pink T-shirt was helping me with a return. He scanned my membership card then paused saying scan your payment card. I asked if I need to tap the original card. He snapped and said "yea! Whatever card you want it on". It didn't go through and he had to call the manager to help him authorize it. He then swiftly moved to a different counter to look on a screen. When manager (dressed in a baby pink vest) came by, he said "she want the return on a different card or something". I absolutely did NOT but it's ok b/c I just need to get going. Manager authorized it and left without saying anything. He pulled off the receipt and left it on on the counter while jumping back to the screen he was preoccupied with. No confirmation that transaction was completed until I asked " that's it?" And took my own receipt. It is not my problem when Costco decides to open at 8:50 instead of 9:00. The doors open and there are customers needing to be served. Management must be horrible for staff to act this way. read more
