Stumbled upon the cutest little cafe for brunch. I started off with their pink latte, absolutely delicious and unique. Very pink! I'm pretty sure it had acai and goji berry in it. There was brown sugar at the bottom that hasn't melted yet... For food, I tried the Chicken Fries which were crispy chicken tenders over a bed of fries, topped with mayo and shaved Parmesan. Definitely great for sharing. I also went with "Le American" - scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, cheddar, tomato, and lettuce all tucked into a buttery croissant. I also added avocado (extra $3.50). Be sure to eat it quick before the croissant gets soggy. Great brunch spot! read more

It was. Ice to find a good breakfast place for us Californians visiting Munich! We got there just in time on a Sunday morning with no line. When we left there was a BIG line! Tight but ultra modern restaurant in a nicely located area. The food was great. It was geared a bit international so there was a lot to choose from. The potatoes are amazing here. The coffee here is really nice. I will say that if you're American and want an iced latte, it's literally that. The hot latte with 3 cubes of ice in it. We came for breakfast on Saturday. Fairly long line outside which I took to mean this was going to be good. The menu prominently features bowls, pretty much all vegan/ vegetarian, which seem to be THE big thing at the moment in Germany. Also, quite a few dishes based on a dark rye bread, which I personally like, such as the now obligatory avocado toast. Bagels, croissants, or any of the awesome German bread rolls do not feature. We had the aforementioned avocado toasts which were ok but nothing to shout home about. Blueberry smoothie must have gone through a very anemic blender, very grainy and watery at the same time. Overall ok, but not justifying the long line outside. Also pretty pricey for German standards, as in NYC kind of pricey. read more

Tldr: delightful cafe for breakfast/brunch with soothing ambiance and fresh offerings. This cafe is a wonderful spot for brunch. It's tucked away in a garden behind bamboo and rose bushes with a large fountain in the corner. Everything felt soothing and it feels like time itself slowed down and told us to relax. Such a welcome reprieve from being touristy in Old Town! We ordered the Strong Max, Lucky Alps and a Buddha's Delight bowl along with a cup of cappuccino. Everything was on point and the dishes tastes super fresh. The eggs on my Strong Max were cooked to oozy yoke perfection. The croissant the Lucky Alps came on was delightfully flaky and melt in your mouth. And, oh my goodness, I need to recreate the dressing that came with the Buddha's delight. The menu called it a fruity curry yogurt dressing. I'm calling it magic sauce because it made everything taste 10 times better. The cappuccino was also great. The perfect amount of bitterness complemented by a slight sweetness from the milk. The pricing was also very reasonable. Every one of our dishes were below 9€. They also had an English menu which you access by scanning a QR code, so extra points for that. I wish we had more time in Munich so I can come back and try more of the menu! The waiter spoke both German and English and was able to help with whatever needs we had. I had the kindest waitress, which I've found is not all that common as a traveling American in Germany. The service was fast, the portions were big, and the food and coffee was delicious. I arrived early, soon after they opened which is something to note according to other reviews the service might slow down as they get busy or have a wait. I rarely give bad reviews so for me to complain it's really bad. This place has the worst service ever. It took forever to get our drinks and now it's been forty minutes and no food in sight! Our waitress doesn't seem to care and is acting smug. A simple apology for the wait would go a long way but instead she is not friendly at all. The tables on either side of us are also complaining about the poor service. They also have been waiting quite a long time just for drinks. So surprised this place has good reviews. We have been to the one at Gärtnerplatz and it was way better. We thought this location would be just as good but are disappointed so far. Avoid this one if you want to eat in a timely manner and you prefer good service. We won't be back and we won't recommend to our friends. Update: just got our food after 49 minutes after ordering. We only have salads so why it took so long who knows. My order is wrong as I ordered chicken on my salad and they did not even include it. The food here is mediocre.
