Lisa was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, helping us to shape a multi-day tour for our family. She was highly responsive and communicated clearly in answering our questions and helping us consider the options. Once we arrived in the Cotswolds, Dave provided an amazing experience for our multi-day tour. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny throughout the tour, and provided excellent advice on when to rearrange the itinerary to get us to popular spots before they were overrun with people. We greatly appreciated his expertise and flexibility in adjusting the plan as we went to let us spend more or less time in spots based on our preferences -- which, given our family, was necessary more than once, and a huge bonus to a private tour vs. public tour. The Go Cotswolds vehicle was roomy, comfortable, and well-air conditioned, a plus given that we arrived mid-heat wave. We all agreed that it was a wonderful experience and one we will not soon forget. The Cotswolds are truly a little piece of heaven! From the beginning of our planning, communication with Andrew Guppy was prompt and detailed with all our questions answered. From the time we arrived in Chipping Campden until we left Cirencester six days later, the days were perfectly planned for us including lunch reservations, admissions and tours. The first few days we walked with Robert Talbot and thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge of the area and congenial personality. The other days we walked with Andrew who was just as knowledgeable and great company. We learned so much about the interesting history of the area. We are ladies all in our 60's and found the walking very doable. At any time, both Robert and Andrew were willing to accommodate requests we had during our days and walks. We would all recommend the Bed and Breakfast accommodations Andrew suggested for us as well. We stayed at Cornerstone in Chipping Campden and The Old Brew House in Cirencester. Both were charming, English lodgings with great hosts.

We would recommend Hikes and Bikes to friends and family members. The trails were well marked for the most part. Sometimes it was confusing, because there were several trails in the area, with no markings and we did get lost a couple of times. The Cotswolds Way is gorgeous. We went in May and had perfect weather. Our favorite hotels were The Kings Hotel in Chipping Campden and The Priory Hotel in Bath. Lots of good B&Bs as well.

He is a friendly guy, and we were immediately put at ease. He showed us a couple places around Oxford to get our bearings and then off we went! Blenheim Castle was our first stop. It was jam packed that day because of a car show, but it was an added bonus to see all the vintage Rolls, Ferraris, and a lot of other cars. Gorgeous vehicles! The castle itself is stunning, and the Churchill memorabilia is very interesting. Graham knew all the stories behind the estate, and pointed out the things of interest. We also took a short walk around the grounds because it was a beautiful day. Then he took us to some nearby village for lunch. Best meal of the whole vacay! Afterwards, we drove to the Cotswolds and walked amongst the thatched houses. From there, he took us to another village where we got some candy and then we headed for home. He was very amenable to our schedule, very easy going, and knows the area well. We had such an enjoyable day letting him do all the driving. I highly recommend this tour!

Our base location, the "Secret Cottage" property is darling and a dream setting! The food and beverages coordinator Chrissy, is the most gracious and kind host! We were served three meals: Late continental breakfast, huge lunch and afternoon sweets/tea. This is a great way to spend the afternoon in the countryside, a hour away from London! Book this tour! Unfortunately, we arrived on a Saturday during a Bank Holiday weekend on a very nice warm and sunny day. The place was packed, which made appreciating this place's beauty somewhat challenging as we were dodging our fellow tourists and long lines of cars at selected crossings. A few tips: 1. Do try the ice cream, which is local and delicious. They also make a dog-friendly style. 2. We had a relatively quiet and relaxing lunch at the Dial Hotel, which we considered somewhat out of the way. 3. The Cotswold Pottery shop a few blocks off the river walk is worth a visit and a look. 3. The local foot paths off the main area provide a scenic and peaceful respite.
