Yesterday Jorge the owner called me and threatened and harassed that he would call the police and his attorney because I gave him a review of his business regarding an item that I purchased as a Christmas present I reminded him that mine was a truthful review of the fact that I paid $175 for the unit and shipping and his cost was only 133 and that he promised a reimbursement of $42 Jorge then blocked me on his phone and his staff repeatedly hung up on me and told me that the manager would reach me which never happened The refund was never received and the office and the staff and Georgiana works extremely rude and called me yelling and screaming This is a business to avoid read more

Today I am reflecting on the phenomenal service I received over the phone. In many places, it can be hard to get through. This has never been my experience here. I had questions about bone china and auctioning or setting a reserve. Currently they are full with great inventory. True kindness and patience as I stumbled through a few questions. Usually I love this place and the stuff they offer, so much so I have spent hundreds of dollars here in the past few months. Today I went in there to look at what they had, The employee was nice and attentive at first until a vendor at the back was ringing the doorbell and said he could wait. 2 minutes later another female employee walked up to us and started screaming at me to leave saying there is a vendor here, and we need to leave. I am a paying customer and was kicked out wrongfully. This is Terrible business, how can you expect people to feel comfortable in your business when you are yelling at them to leave and prioritize vendors overpaying customers read more

Stay away from Cottage antiques. They are thieves and will not return and agreed upon fee on a Christmas gift for an 85-year-old woman George, the owner and Nita a vendor sold us merchandise and told me the shipping fee. I sent a check for the item and the shipping fee which was more than quoted by the owner. George, the owner and the vendor will not return any calls after promising to return the excess shipping charges for the gift for my 85-year-old mother This is a form of elder abuse They first stated they would return the excessive shipping charges and now will not return. Any calls, and Priscilla the manager hung up on me more than once. They are thieves and stay away. You cannot trust them with doing any business with them. I will keep calling them for them to send the money they promised they would for the excessive charges I am warning you they are dishonest and thieves read more

Located next to a Goodwill, their location couldn't be more perfect for someone who exclusively shops second hand. I did find their name a tad confusing and wasn't sure if they were a craft store but once instead saw that "crafts" referred to Etsy like items. Basically I would say they are a antique co-op, where different vendors; antique dealers and artisans rent a space to showcase their wares. Each space is different in what they sell, their specials, and pricing. There was a good bit of variety between the many spaces that there's really something for everyone. In the middle is an area dedicated to silent auction items. The majority of the items were vintage or antique but several vendors had new items for gift giving (craft kits, unique timeless kids toys, etc) as well as some handcrafted vendors. One in particular was stocked full of handmade doll dresses. I bought several items from one vendor, who was running a 17% special according to the sign at her booth. I did mention it at check out, but was told they already know who has what on sale. The check out process was slow. I believe a customer a few ahead of me was having some credit card issues. At the check out they have some assorted snacks that felt old and out of place. They also do not allow customers to use their restroom. Overall I liked this store and would shop again if I was in the area. read more

Charming corner store location, but extremely well organized and bright. Tiled walkways made it easy to go from booth to booth. Great variety. Even have silent auction area in rear of the store for independent and collector items. Auctions are every three weeks. Service people unable to lift or move furniture, so bring help if looking for larger pieces. read more

This place is okay - like any other antique store it's packed full of stuff. I was looking for an entry way table and some vintage clothing, and there really wasn't much. They did have a lot of crafts, but it really wasn't up my alley. Doesn't mean it's a bad place though, I can definitely see why people like this place. I did have a good time wandering around looking at all the cool things There was this antique bourbon bottle that was a gray poodle, cracked me up! My biggest frustration was the amount of silent bid items. I love antiques, but I don't really have time to deal with a silent bid. I would just prefer they slapped a price on it and let me buy it. There were two tables and a chair I was interested in, but they were all silent bid...bummer! If you're into antiques, you should check this place out. read more

This is the biggest hidden treasure in the Allentown area!! Tons of vintage items at great prices. Looking for something in particular?? They can try and help you locate it, if it's not already in the store!! There are about 100 different vendors and soooo much to look at. Residing less than 2 miles from Cottage Antiques, I took several pictures of some antique furniture that I wanted to know if this business would be interested in purchasing. I talked to and showed the pictures to a store employee, Donna. She was receptive, took down my contact information and assured me that, George, the owner would be the one to make the decision but that he is in/out often. After giving it enough time where I thought I would hear from George and then not hearing from him, I called the store, explained why I was calling and, again, was assured that he would call. It's been nearly a month since my initial contact. In that period I was assured the owner would contact me. I do not blame any other store employee for the owner's lack of consideration. I'm sure my contact info was passed along to him. George, you need to follow through on contacting people even if it is just to say you are not interested. Needless to say, someone else received my business. read more

I've been coming here since I moved to PA a year ago. This place truly makes me happy every time I walk in. The atmosphere, the smell and the ultimate variety of things that you can't go just anywhere for. I never leave empty handed. I would consider working here part-time along with my full-time job just to spend more time at Cottage Crafters! Absolutely love it!!! read more

Located in a strip mall, Cottage Crafters has a little something for everyone. One part located to the right upon entry is devoted to antiques, to the left crafts. In the back center to right are silent bid auctions. Get a number from the front desk and then bid on items that you like. The auctions end 3rd sunday of the month-call on Monday to see if you won. (It would be nice if you could see if you won via the web). Prices in all sections of the store are reasonable. I can't think of a better way to spend an hour in Western Allentown can you? read more

This place is terrible!!First I only bid on a few things,and they messed that up.Got me mixed up with someone else.Tried to make me pay 60.00 on these items,that I had nothing to do with !!I only bid 2.00 on one item and 3.00 on the other.After much haggling,they realized their mistake.I will never go in there again,the place is run half ass!!!Not to mention the maze you have to go though just to look at anything,and no vendors around to ask any questions about an item they are selling.I would not recommend this place to a dead person. read more

My father went in there last week to bid on a stamp collection. He was the last one to bid before the time ran out and they got everyone out of the room. He definitely won this item but somehow.. Somebody let someone else bid on it OR and employee came up afterwards and bid they didn't help him out at all and was rude in the long run after my father stated he Did win it. What is wrong here?? Where is the management on this?? Do you really want to keep customers or are you selective about who you want to continue to shop and bid on items in your store??? I thought this place was run by grownups but seems a bit childish that people still have to cheat to win. Takes the fun out of it. Set some more rules for bidding on stuff and actually monitor these people who cheat. read more

Plan on wasting a lot of time and energy to pay for and pick up your auction winnings from this store. Auction items must be paid for at the front counter as usual but now only picked up at an outside rear store receiving entrance in the back of the retail shopping center. You cannot transit through the store to access this area or pick up your merchandise inside the store as you once did. Even small hand held items not requiring any special assitance or loading help must still be received at the outside rear entrance. Here is the problem, parking and driving through this often congested retail shopping center with banks and restaurants is a real pain in the neck. Once you fight your way through several speed bumps, pedestrian crosswalks and car traffic you find your parking spot, usually a couple of 100 feet away from the store entrance. Picture yourself repeating this process and now going around a very long L-shaped shopping center building to get to the store's rear pickup area. The owner for now shows no willingness to accommodate customers with payment options at the rear receiving area to eliminate this big hassle, or to allow small item pickup inside the store. So much for convenience and customer service. read more
