I stopped here to look around while I was in the area, the ladies working her were very welcoming, helpful, and kind. The shop itself is darling, the clothes are all very classy and cute and the jewelry is beautiful. They have something for everyone bags, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, jeans, sweaters, tshirts, leggings, shorts, dresses, everything is in style and seasonal! I have never been treated so poorly in my life. The two women working in this store simply refused to acknowledge me, my friend and her young daughter. We were all wearing masks, each of us wanted to purchase an item ultimately we left the store without purchasing the items we choose. Skip this store, unless you wish to be treated like garbage. read more

During my sunny beautiful weekend in Leelanau county, I was taking a break from all my adventures in the sun and went shopping. I had been in a few haystacks and while I liked their clothes and accessories nothing really stood out to me. However I loved the styles at Cottonseed. I like to describe my style as something like boho chic or ethnic and they had a ton of cute styles that flattered my tough-to-shop-for figure. After nearly an hour running in and out of the fitting room and numerous convos soliciting advice from the nice workers there, I finally found a cute pink linen simple dress with ruffles at the edges, soft white leggings to go with it and fair trade glass earrings from Guatemala. I really had the hardest time picking out which earrings to buy, I wish I could have gotten more! They were all gorgeous. The prices were a little higher than what I would have liked to pay, but still reasonable for being a boutique in a nicer town like glen arbor. When I visit northern mi again I am excited to check this store out again! read more

I have been looking for months for the perfect black tunic. Not till I was on vacation and went to Cottonseed, did I find it. AND it was Made In USA!!!! I like the store and go in once or twice each year and usually buy a few outfits, last year I had to return an item and got a store credit - that there policy. It "expired" after 1 year and I came back 13 months to and use the credit towards my new purchase and the clerk would not honor the credit. Beside I do not think that is legal in Michigan I thought it was a stupid policy and they lost my business. So beware of the store credit. read more

This is one of the best, if not the best stores, I've ever been to. It is a comprehensive collection of clothing for many ages and body types. I've always had the best customer service, I have a hard body to fit and the sales people always come up with the most unexpected but perfect thing, that ends up becoming my favorite item in my closet. The only downside is that they are only open in the summer. Best to stop in early in the season when they are fully stocked. read more
