My first time visiting an M-22 store! I absolutely loved it! This store is so cute! They truly have put the M-22 logo onto every possible item of clothing / merch you could dream up! I wanted a little bit of everything, for sure, but ultimately exhibited some rare self-restraint and only purchased a cute M-22 hat! :) I wear it all the time now! The workers were so friendly and I can't wait to come back and probably buy up their collection of dog leashes and collars because I'm still thinking about it to this day! :) read more

This was our 2nd wine tasting for the weekend trip after visiting and hiking sleeping bear dunes. Glad we found this place in the town near by. It has indoor clothing and wine sales and wine tastings outside. Perfect weather and nice set up outside. If you have the uncorked wine pass, you get $1 off flights or large pours and 10% of bottle purchases, which we took advantage of all those deals :) wine tasting had four different choices of preset tastings. The red tasting came with their 4 reds and you could choose the 5th. Wine was good. M-22 red and Overlook red were my favorite of the red and the late harvest Riesling was sweet and refreshing (more sweet than the regular Riesling). Also tried one of their summer cocktails, Cherry Fizz (cherry wine + bubbly). Would definitely come back if back in the area, esp in May with the deals and beautiful weather. On a chilly drizzly fall afternoon, who doesn't want to cozy up by the fire with some wine or cider? We had a fabulous time sampling wines at the outdoor patio. Despite it being chilly, the heater and fireplit kept up warm and cozy. All the wines we tried were tasty but their sparkling wines were my favorite. My husband and I did some wine tasting here while in the area recently. During these pandemic times all wine tastings are taking place outside in one of their igloos. We went inside and chose which wines we wanted to try and paid for them. We were then directed to an igloo outside and our tastings were brought to us shortly thereafter. The igloos were surprisingly cozy and it was an interesting experience. While all the wines were good, we did not find one that we just had to have, especially since we had already bought quite a few bottles at the first place where we had done a tasting. This place was very observant of the Covid 19 mandates that are currently in place. read more

What a cute little stop off of M-22! It's a little outside of the city, so there is not much around. We went there on a Sunday, so it was pretty slow. To our surprise, there was wine tasting inside! The wine is from Black Star Farms in traverse city, but you can only taste these wines at the M-22 stop. The wine was good and the woman helping was very friendly! The store has a lot of great things to offer, from clothing to souvenirs - a little on the expensive side though. One of the sweatshirts I liked was $60! I'll stick to just the wine tasting instead. read more

Went to the M 22 store after spending the afternoon at the winery... pricey but worth the beautiful atmosphere and supporting local. Purchased many items at the store including one child's shirt that once we were home noticed the stitching was undone towards the bottom. I immediately called the following day and they told me to go ahead and ship back the shirt and they would ship me out another one. My husband also placed an online order for some doggy gear, once we returned home as well. When I went to ship back the shirt it was $12 shipping that was half of the price of the shirt. I contacted the store and asked if there was anything they could do to accommodate me for shipping back the shirt. Their answer was no. In this day and age all of us are trying to support local and I felt like I was turned down with no sympathy. read more

What a gem! Honestly, I am not big on buying the tourist gear, but this spot is more than just a store with apparel. Inside in a wine bar where the store works with a local winery to create their own line of wines--which are amazing. We went in the winter, but I am itching to get back in the summer already. Through the windows, you can see the outdoor sitting area which looks perfect because you'd have to be a crazy person to not enjoy wine on a deck on a beautiful summer day. The wine tastings include 5 wines/ciders for only $6, which honestly is a deal to me. The wines to purchase are reasonably priced, and you know you are getting one-of-a-kind wines here too. Stopped here after a trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes as my friend wanted an M22 Tshirt. Ended up doing the wine tasting for $6 and the three couples in our group bought 12 bottles to get the 15% discount. The cherry wine is delicious and seems like a fun, unique Michigan gift. Giving a shout out and some love to staff member Kelsey who poured our wine and gave us the lowdown. We all thought she was the best although every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The Tshirts are a nice keepsake (although a tad pricey around $30-32) and several folks in our group purchased them. read more

I thought this was one of the best places for tourists to shop! They had a wide variety of Wines, Clothes, and unique memorabilia to highlight the Great North! The store was modern and clean and the selections were endless with friendly staff. It is way better then most junky old stores selling junk from 1980. read more

First off I never post reviews but I feel this place deserves it. I have seen this logo all over and thought it must be great quality with the volume of which I've seen it. Starting at the beginning I walk in Tuesday and no one says anything to me. I'm one of 3 customers in the store. Ok, that's fine, I decide to buy an adventure icon hood long sleeve hoody t shirt and pay $42.00. Kind of expensive but once again, quality. So I wear it and I'm stoked but I read a tag that says made from locally sourced products when possible then he shirt says made in Honduras. Weird! But it's Nice and soft. I wash it and half of the sleeve unstitches itself. Now I'm pissed. These people are con artists. Low quality just preying on the tourism in glen arbor. Don't go here. You will be disappointed and your wallet will be lighter for an inferior product. read more

Our first visit to the store, several years ago, was in the off season and we had the undivided attention of the staff member. We did the wine tasting and ended up buying 6 bottles, a sweatshirt, and a bumper sticker. Our recent visit on 8/18/16, not so good. We again did the wine sampling, our server was not very friendly, she was very short, poured minimal amounts to sample, less than the ounce we paid for. She gave us the impression she had seen one too many "tourist" or it was the end of her shift. We did buy two bottles of wine anyway, but only because we don't get up there that often.. Also, I am trying to buy American made products only, so I did not purchase clothing this time. Disappointed. read more

I've meaning to mention something about this store since we visited it last October :( We had bought a couple of M-22 mugs two years ago and the writing was coming off so I brought them back to the store and since I had previously been told that they couldn't be returned was waiting for a confrontation. To my surprise Claire and Gretchen were wonderful and took the mugs back and exchanged them for new ones. What a pleasant experience! We had previously been told at the M-22 store in Traverse that we were out of luck, I guess I went to the wrong store! We bought quite a bit of merchandise at the store in Glen Arbor - this coundn't have been a nicer experience. I hope Claire & Gretchen still work here. See you in October! Admittedly a bit overpriced these days, but at least that money is going towards a great local business. The clothing and other items I've bought over the years have held up to frequent wear. This business also donates a small portion of their profits to the Leelanua Land Conservancy projects, which I think this very cool. The remodeled store is awesome.
