I had my spark plugs, wires, all fluids, and serpentine belt changed on my 1999 Ford F150 pick up…read moreafter purchasing it used. The number seven cylinder spark plug came out. This is common with these Fords, but it did not damage the threads or the block. This indicated that it was not properly torque or tightened and came loose. This left me stranded 45 miles from home pulling a trailer with my Harley. I went to Mealman's and talked to the owner. Keith, he took no ownership and offered no compensation. I paid a friend to tow me, my trailer and my Harley home and had to spend $100 at O'Reillys as they do not sell just one spark plug wire. One wire was burnt due to this event. He continued to make excuses and even said he's never seen the firing tip do this. It was broken because it blew out of the block and hit and bounced around and arced multiple places under the hood. I am very disappointed. I wouldn't have even expected money back if he simply would've said he or his help made a mistake. Instead, he said you should've brought it in. I would've looked at it and not charged you if it was our fault. That estimate was $300-$700 to fix this issue if it needed a heli coil like we had assumed. That is why I did it myself. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of. I really thought it would be different as I had heard that he was a Christian, honest, and fair. I really thought Mealmans was different. Shucks, shame on me. Never again!
