From day one of Kim working with our sons and myself, it has been very positive and supportive. During this whole time Kim has shown her expertise as a reunification therapist that has helped my sons and I through many sessions of reunification therapy. Kim has always put our children's best interest first and provided a safe and neutral space where everyone's feeling have been heard and validated. Kim has never taking sides but instead expertly guided us through difficult conversations at times. Kim has taught us skills on communication, active listening, rebuilding trust and more. Kim and her team of therapist and staff have always been professional and caring and I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a reunification therapist, family therapy, individual therapy and more to go to Olney Counseling! I was told by her she was jealous of my strength and that's why she became critical of me. When confronted a therapist she told me she didn't say that and began to gaslight me. She would reword everything I confronted her about trying to make m seem crazy and confused. No accountability whatsoever who can trust a therapist with no accountability and blames you for their actions and your past. Sad you put your trust in someone for 2 years and they're just like everyone else. Some people don't need to be a therapist because they care more about themselves and their reputation than a clients mental health. The therapist harmed my mental health couldn't get a sincere apology or explanation and was terminated for holding her accountable asking for answers after two years. I got terminated over the phone couldn't even get closure. Very selfish for her to get closure and leave me with questions after two years of therapy. Be careful who you trust.. You would think the clinic would like feedback to work with the therapist so this wouldn't happen to future clients but the supervisor only provided referrals and was weird. I'm writing this review because this was very traumatic for me and it seems like there was another review here with same issue. I don't want anyone to be harmed like I have. She needs to be held accountable. This is no okay. Clients deserve a safe space and are already judged and criticized out in the real world. You shouldn't have to pay a therapist to do the same. There are dozens upon dozens of counselors listed in my health insurance's directory. Who should I choose? I got fortunate that the person I choose, based largely on location and experience, turned out to be very compatible. For years, I've thought that counseling was simply a waste of time. I have had very negative experiences with therapy in the past. I would talk for an hour and pay for little to no input from the counselor. My entire perspective on counseling changed when I began seeing my previous counselor at the Women's Center in Vienna, and then Nancy Henningsen. After reading her biography and services on her website, I arranged an initial session. It was apparent from the very first session that Nancy Henningsen is unlike most therapists I've had. Not only did I always receive helpful input, but she offered refreshing perspectives. I tend to go on tangents, but she kept me focused. Nancy provided very constructive criticism without casting an ounce of judgement. She uses various methods and techniques to help her clients, such as the "sand tray therapy" which I found to be both fun and insightful at the same time. After six months of seeing Nancy, I had made tremendous progress. I truly regret having to leave her and to find a counselor in Illinois all over again. However, I can take what I have learned from my sessions with Nancy and apply them to my future endeavors. Overall, I believe Nancy Hennigsen to be superior in her profession and I would recommend anyone who seeks a highly qualified and influential counselor to her.

I have someone on my side now…read more Dr Maroof is amazing, she listens, & doesn't just prescribe the same thing to everyone she actually tries to treat the ROOT CAUSE and choose an appropriate medicine for that particular INDIVIDUAL. She's always been SPOT ON with medications for me, when normally I'm always that non-responsive group or the 1% severe adverse reaction group. I was referred to her by a friend who also recommended her to me, she had made a positive difference in their life as well. When I was at an extraordinary low point in my life she brought me BACK FROM THE BRINK and has continued to change my life in positive ways I could never hope for before. Dr Maroof actually truly LISTENS and we have a MUTUAL TRUST, something that I couldn't find before and it was just beyond awful, tortuous. I am so lucky to have her as my physician. I went through multiple before who caused a lot more harm to me than good, where I even had went inpatient due to treatment medications etc. Never has Dr Maroof caused any harm to me at all.
