Lots of activities to do but there is no staff supervision. Kids were throwing sand and corn at each other. People were cutting in line and pulling others off slides. Could not believe the rude behavior and no parental supervision. Will not go back. read more

While the festival looked fun, we were only here to pick apples. The apples were almost exclusively wormy and rotten. The apple trees are behind the ticketed festival, so you can't look at the quality before you decide to pick. The staff gave us absolutely no warning that the apples were so bad (and, seemingly, inedible). We encountered several other families trying to pick apples who expressed the same exasperation we were feeling. After checking every row, we were able to find a few trees near the interstate that were passable to fill our bag, but were very grateful that we didn't pick a bigger bag to fill. Really do not recommend apple picking here, and I encourage the staff to speak up about the apple quality so more people don't have a negative experience. read more

Lots of fun activities to do for kids at the Fall Festival with a huge variety of unique pumpkins to complete a fun fall display at a decent price. Kids loved the apple cannons, petting zoo and jump pillows especially. There is a new owner within the last three years and he came and talked to us, personally thanking us for coming out and hoping we had a good time. This is a must go destination when autumn season is upon me. I've been going to this orchard for years along with my family and daughter. Each visit has been fun filled and memorable. Some years for picking apples are better than others, but that's due to weather and not always within control. Weekends can get busy, especially with good weather. Each year after we have picked delicious apples we routinely shop in the store, get something to eat, go through the rides and have a great time in the process. The busier times are the festivals but that's part of the fun if you don't mind a lot of people. You can take your time picking any type of apples and the quality has always been good. I would suggest going early in the season if you want to get the best pick of apples. You are allowed to wander into which ever area you want, and they likely drop you off where there is the best chance of finding good picks. From the tractor ride out to the games, pony rides, food, and other things to do, this is a must stop for anyone who loves fall. read more

I was here during the apple festival in September. The festival had things to buy, things to eat, and things to play on for the kids. We got some kettle corn and apple cider, which was the perfect early fall snack. Then we were off to pick apples. My friend had 2 groupons (one for her and one for me), so I think we ended up with 20 lbs of apples, which was way too much for the two of us, but we had a lot of fun. I liked that there was a large variety of apples, but I had no idea what any of them were. I'm used to just the typical kinds--red and golden delicious, jonathans, granny smith, etc. But picking we went. No one on the wagon (that takes you to the orchard) knew the procedure. I was used to an orchard where they took you to where they were picking and told you which rows you could pick and what type the apples were with a description. Here, apparently, you are just supposed to holler if you want to get off and start picking, and there are signs on some of the rows telling you what apples they are but no descriptions. We ended up having to try about one of each kind because we had no idea what the types were. While they were tasty, I think it may have been smarter to check their website first because it has descriptions of the apples. We spent a lot of time wandering around the orchard trying to figure out what type of apples we wanted. We ended up getting a few of each, and a few more of the ones we really liked. It was a good time! My friend also got some pumpkin butter and apple butter from the country store. I think she liked both. read more

Poor selection remaining in trees and no forewarning from staff. Purchased a large bag to self-pick and was unable to fill it because trees are bare. All good apples have already been picked by orchard staff. They have two varieties available pre-bagged in store, both at an exorbitant markup. Manager refused to refund purchase price of empty bag, offering instead to give credit toward the overpriced pre-bagged bunch. When she saw we were looking at getting a small bag, which - while still overpriced, would have cost less than the self-pick bag we'd initially purchased - she coarsely threw in, "I'm not giving you change back." Left a rotten taste in our mouths. read more

My first experience was great; everyone was warm and welcoming. Today's trip started off rough. The lady who greeted us was rude and acted like she didn't have the time to explain how the apple picking. Would work (out last time was during the harvest festival). Then we went to walk the trees. We couldn't find too many good apples, and my fiancé wasn't a huge fan of the favors she said we had to stay within. We asked to go to the other section; which she refused and rudely states, "I don't need you getting lost." Then walked away. We are two grown adults, the chances of getting lost is slim. The overall interaction was an embarrassment for there business and I will not be returning. read more
