In the fall of 2015 I had purchased Pergo flooring from Carpet City. The flooring was supposed to…read morebe commercial grade and the resistance against pets and heavy traffic. After purchasing $5,000 of flooring for my living room, we had it installed going through are local Carpet City in Minocqua Wisconsin. After approximately 2 to 3 days my wife and I started noticing surface scratches in various areas of the floor. my wife and I even have put felt coasters underneath our furniture in our kids have a choice because that's what the installer had recommended. The scratches were in the clear coat which caused him the show up when the light hit them at a certain angle. Spending that much money on flooring, we called the sales rep that sold us the flooring. We contacted our local sales rep regarding the scratches. He came out here with the manufacturer of the flooring to take some photos. The manufacturer stated he couldn't do nothin himself because Carpet City has to file a claim on the flooring. So our local Carpet City sales rep Jess had started a claim and said it may take 5 to 6 weeks for a response. After two months had passed we haven't heard nothing back from Jess so I decided to call him back. Come to find out when I called Minocqua Carpet City Jess no longer work there. I was recommended by the store manager they are to contact her Rhinelander store manager who was in charge of both stores. I contacted Rhinelander Carpet City and spoke to Brian the manager. Brian wasn't aware of the claim that jess had started so he started the claim for me. Brian had also came to my home a second time it took more photos of the scratches on the flooring given it has been 3 months almost already. Brian had told me it would take several weeks before he would get a response back by the claims specialist. Weeks went by and I did not receive any phone call from Brian. So I called Brian come to find out he had advised me that the claim was denied because they felt it was due to my dog. I had advised Brian that my dog does not stay up stairs he is basically downstairs all day and outside. I also advised Brian and my pet does not go underneath my furniture since he's 80 pounds and it be hard for him to walk underneath my couch or chair where the scratches are at as well. Brian reassured me that you try to figure something out for us weather was putting some type of solution on flooring to try to conceal the scratches or to try to resubmit the claim again to see if that would go through a second time. Brian stayed it would take several weeks if not more than a month to get an answer. The last time I spoke to Brian was approximately a week before Christmas of 2015. It is now July 15th 2016 and I still have not heard anything back from Brian. I have contacted the Rhinelander store in Wisconsin and make contact with a secretary there. I explained that a secretary that I was in contact with Brian last winter regarding a claim for my flooring. I explained that the secretary I have left Bryant several messages since Christmas of 2015 until the summer of 2016 and he never returned my phone call. The last message I had left for Brian was in June of 2016. The secretary reassured me that Brian would get this message in contact me back in which he never did. If anyone is considering going with Carpet City in Minocqua or Rhinelander I highly discourage it. The service in the stores are piss poor and the management should be fired. I hope if you have an experience like I do that you post it so other people don't get screwed over like I did.

The carpet style was the same as I had looked at in another city but cheaper and they didn't have the little add on prices that made me angry at the other firm. The carpet looks great and installation was flawless. I also like doing business with a local firm as opposed to national companies. Not a single complaint.
