My husband and I own an old family cottage in nearby Three Lakes, and we have greatly benefited from their expertise as we have made improvements. Lately, we have focused on replacing window treatments throughout our cottage. Each room has had its unique issues that have required individual treatment. As a recent example, our lakefront cottage has large, westward-facing windows that have given us a problem with intense glare off the water in late afternoons. Lisa and Connie struck a good balance by suggesting window shades that would block the glare but would not be too opaque. They also encouraged us to select a deep brown color, which would serve as a backdrop to our "very beige" furniture. I tend to be cautious about using any bold color, so I was hesitant at first, but am now so glad we followed through with their suggestion -- we love the result! The deep brown tone actually has a neutral effect, but it also offers real "punch" and gives a warm and cozy feeling. Additionally, unlike "big box" stores, they came out to make accurate measurements and provided installation services for our new shades. As an added bonus, they have also offered expert advice when we have needed help in selecting paint colors for our other interior, and even exterior, needs. We then heard nothing and left multiple voicemails for a call back to see why she was not sending a quote or calling us. Never returned any calls. And when I stopped by and asked why they did not call and asked for the measurements so we could use them she refused to provide them. Terrible service and no communication. Will never use them for any blinds.

Instead I had a terrible experience and have never been so guilted for my decision on what to purchase in my life. We had shopped at Home Depot for shades and we wanted a second opinion and another business to refer too after needing to return our first set of shades. At first Mary was helpful in options and recommendations though I felt a bit pressured when it came to their installation fees along with their fee for measuring which I felt comfortable doing myself. After getting their estimate I politely responded by thanking Mary for her help but as of right now their prices were out of our comfort zone. Soon after I got a response (which I will share below) saying their products are better because of their quality and that I would replace my shades well before theirs if I went with Home Depot or Menards. I don't know why she thought this was appropriate to guilt someone based on their decision but I have never, in 11 years of retail and customer service, ever done so because an item was more than a guest wished to pay, let alone disrespect our competitors. She also told me I should return a free sample she gave me while treating me like someone's child. I wish them the best of luck but will never return for their service. I also hope I can warn others through my terrible experience.
