Went here once while vacationing in Rangeley. This was such a cute restaurant almost in the middle of nowhere lol. The staff was friendly, it was great for accommodating a large group even though the restaurant itself is small. read more

I have two words for you: lobster roll. The. Best. Ever. And get the hot one, because its not screwed up with mayo or anything. It's just big, BIG chunks of delicious lobster on a perfectly toasted roll drizzled with butter. And get the 6 oz. Because really, go big or go home. It was so good I could have eaten two. The fries were good but a little limp for my taste; I like them crispier. But they were flavorful. My husband had an awesome burger, with bacon, mushrooms, BBQ sauce -- he says it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. The bun was fresh and it was the perfect bite. We left happy and my only regret is that we won't have a chance to go back before we leave Maine. Service was fast and friendly and the place was super clean. Just a great, great experience. read more

The lobster roll, choice of butter or mayo. Loved the butter on a good roll, not a hotdog roll. Big chunks of meat, every bit as good as the lobster rolls at the fisherman's co-ops on the coast!! Waitstaff very attentive. read more

Tried this place again and the food was really good. I'm hopeful our bad experience the first time was a fluke.

How has nobody reviewed this place yet? This place has be (re)opened under new management for 6 or 7 years now and they are ever expanding and improving. The owner of this place puts more care (not to mention blood, sweat and tears) into this place than any other place I know of. It's not uncommon to see him walking around and talking to customers asking them what they liked and what they didn't and what they would like to see there. I believe this to be one of the many reasons for their growth. When this place opened it was strictly an ice cream shop (with the most amazing peanut butter soft serve you'll ever even know - still made with the same secret recipe today!) and they've made improvements, progression and have grown each year since to expand into burgers, subs, pizza and fried seafood. And holy hannah - you can't find a better pizza in a 40 mile radius! This isn't gourmet pizza mind you, this is football pizza, and at its best! I have honestly tried almost everything on the menu and really my complaints are VERY minimal. The steak bomb is enormous and way underpriced but get it without the steak sauce/A1/Worcestershire Sauce, whatever it is. In all honesty, this would be (and is) the perfect steak bomb without it and adding it as a norm is terribly sacrilegious and this is definitely my one complaint about this place. C'mon - don't reinvent the wheel and don't knock what's tried and true. Other than that, the pizza is straight-up amazing, the ice cream is fantastically delicious (with local Gifford's hard serve and wide variety of soft serve creations) and the space is great! Big lawn and outdoor seating with plenty of picnic tables and music on the speakers, if there's not a DJ or band around. Tuesday night is Cruise Night where locals from surrounding towns all get together to showcase their antique and classic vehicles, there's a 50/50 raffle, a live DJ and a lot of fun to be had! They also participate in the Phillips Old Home Days festivities! *BREAKING NEWS* My very reliable sources have just informed me that they're expanding as we speak to offer service all year long as opposed to the standard summer season as has been the tradition of this establishment, perhaps since the initial conception. And you can see the pics of the new dining space being built *now* on their Facebook page. If you're on your way to Rangeley, Sunday River, Phillips or Kingfield - anywhere within a 30 mile radius, at least stop in for a cone and check the vibe! What a great little pit stop for tourists traveling up from out of state. I make it a point to stop here every single time I'm in the area! I'll be sure to post as soon as I'm back up there! Regardless - do yourself a favor and go! Oh I almost forgot - the price versus quality is the best! You have no reason not to! Save a buck and make a memory! And let everyone know what you think! They always want to improve and be better for their customers and take everything and anything into consideration! Ya gotta love that! read more
