First time was not a fantastic experience as my dog got bathroom sick right after returning home from being there. Second time now and my dog was completely sheered and choppy made to look like a rescue dog. I agree he had some matting but not to the extreme they took it too. No time was spent to comb out Matts or make him look like a poodle! His feet were atrocious and one foot bloody. His ears were radically cleaned and not dried which ended up with a bacterial infection and a vet bill of 100$. This business will not take any responsibility for the trauma my poor dog has endured.

Then when it came time for our dogs to be boarded Sophia was not around and her husband Travis was in charge. I left detailed instructions with their routine and pill schedules and it was never followed and honestly probably never looked at again after I left. They were not getting water when they were there and when they got home they drank 2 bowls of water instantly. They most likely never got there allergy meds as they were super itchy, and I know they didn't get all their hip and joint meds. I always provide specific treats due to allergies and they were never given to them. At the most they were let out a max of 3 times a day for around 20 minutes max at a time. I know this as there are cameras to watch your dogs when you're gone. One day the camera was shut off for 12 hours. The day we picked them up they were in the kennel for at least 6 hours without being let out. They never got let out in the morning before 8:30 AM. The water bucket they used for cleaning the kennel areas was disgusting and had poop in the water. My dogs never have accidents but being locked up in Jail all day they had to relieve themselves somewhere. All the husband talks about is playing his video games. Obviously he's LAZY and shouldn't be able to be around animals. I was woke up to a dog puking the 1st night home and now I will have vet bills from them being in such unsanitary situations. I reached out to Sophia about all this and was told she has been getting numerous complaints and intends to scale back the kennel in accordance with Travis's abilities to improve the care he provides, back to basics kinds of things. This business should not be around at all with the animal cruelty and neglect that comes with it.

Finally the doctor came in and was asking me the same list of questions and refused to put her to sleep. Apparently they feel like her issue of peeing around the house could be fixed with testing and blah blah blah; it's an avenue we didn't want to go down but they wouldn't budge. The only option other than taking her back home (which we weren't going to do) was to surrender her to them. The only good that came out of all of this was that it didn't cost us anything. But this whole issue was never about money. It's about keeping our house free from urine and getting closure on a loved one that was with us for 9 years. Now who knows what will happen. That sometimes can tend to be even more emotional that putting a cat to sleep. I would not recommend this clinic. It has changed since Dr. Gouck (sp) sold the business.

Katie operates out of her house. She always does a great job. We have been to 4 different groomers…read morewith this dog. Katie does the best job and the dog comes home happy. Katie treats the animals she grooms like her own. She keeps a file on every animal and what they do well and what they don't when getting groomed. We have a large golden doodle and she has done the puppy cut, the lamb cut,the teddy bear , our favorite and the summer cut when the dog got into the sand burs this summer. We recommend her to all our fur parents because she treats the dog so well. Hard to believe it when your dog likes to get groomed and comes home happy and not stressed.

we adopted from Ruff Start back in October. from the get go, communication was great with Ruff…read moreStart and with our dog's foster. we had some logistical issues (planned trip) and were able to work with them to accommodate us. there was an issue with getting her rabies tag and vax certificate, but that was on the vet (they forgot to send it). one of the post adoption people at Ruff Start did all the leg work and we had the tag/certificate with a few days. i'd definitely adopt from them again and encourage you to look at their available animals list if you are thinking of adding a furry member to your household! one thing to note: they do not keep animals at their facility. all dogs are fostered.
