They will text you when you clothes are ready, which I like. No guessing. I dropped off Saturday and picking up on Monday. Fast and furious! They are open on the way to work in the morning and still open on my way home. I can pull up to the drive-in window to drop off and/or pick up. (Although I recommend going inside at least once to check out all the cool old nostalgic decorations they have in the front of the place). Unlike some of the other places I tried, my shirts came back from Durfey's clean and professionally pressed (no extra creases where creases shouldn't be, no tags with metal staples in them). $2.00 per shirt beat the prices at both Chungs and Jordan Cleaners. But it was the customer service that sealed the deal. I was greeted by "Ruthie" (She seems like she's not afraid of hard work, a straight-shooter, and just real good folk). :-) Ruthie takes my shirts with a smile and says she can have them ready in 3 days. She must have seen the disappointment on my face; before I could say anything, she asked, "How soon do you need them?" I asked how soon could she have them ready. She says, "We try our best the meet the needs of our customers" (Good answer!!). I needed them the same day. They did it -- and no extra charge for the rush order! Now obviously, they can't make every order a rush order, so don't everybody go in and ask for same day service!! But she was right: they worked to meet my needs. For that, I was very appreciative. I went back about a week later and received similar treatment (I didn't ask for same day this time!). One tip: The traffic engineers that designed the area by Durfeys (5400 S and 4000 W) must have been drunk. They ONLY way that you can get to Durfeys is from the south. If you come from the north, you have to drive by it about 200 feet and then do a U-turn. (It'll be on your right). To get to the drive-in, drive along the right side of the building and go around the back of the building; then the drive-in window is on the left side of the building. It's not exactly a "scenic view", and the first time, you may wonder if this is where you want to leave your clothes. But you'll feel better once you get a chance to meet Ruthie. And, if you are like me, you will know that this really is one of the best Cleaners in the area when you get your clothes back!

Soap Box extra large washers and dryer were perfect. $4 to wash each one and $2 to dry each one. However the equipment wasn't my inspiration to write this review. It was the employee, Cicily. Somehow she could tell I was a Laundromat novice. Maybe the awkward way I was inspecting the washers.... She walked me through what machines would be best for certain loads, how the machines operated so I knew how to use them, and especially her willingness to go the extra mile. When she discovered what stains I was trying to get out, she grabbed some peroxide and showed me how to apply it. I will visit a business based on my needs, but when one offers an experience that make you feel they really care about you, I'll find reasons to come back.

I've had many pairs of jeans altered here, with original hem and some without, they always come out well and where I wanted the length. However, the real reason I continue to bring my business back, is many years ago, the owner showed me compassion in a time when I thought the world was doomed and there wasn't much of it to be found. It wasn't much, but through a heartfelt and genuine conversation I had with the owner, I knew this was a business I wanted to continue to support. As I still use them for my needs (althouh it may be only once a year), I don't think she remembers our previous encounter that was so touching to my heart, but I always will :)
