My all-time favorite grocery store. It's full of old-fashioned country charm and pleasant Amish/Mennonite/Christian staff. There were meats and multitudes of fruits and veggies straight from the farm. Too bad it's well over an hour drive from my home, otherwise I'd be here at least weekly. PROS: Some of the best prices I've seen on bacon, ham, sausages, various cheese, lunch meat, bulk flours and popcorn kernels. There are tremendous discounts on other packaged foods close to expiration date. Nice selection of smaller brand goods throughout entire store. Great candy selection, including hard to find German black licorice ropes rolled into little wheels. Lots of other licorice flavors too. Local milk in big glass jars. Log rolls of fresh butter. Various local honey, jellies, and jams. Homemade peanut butter ground in-house. Homemade pickles in white tubs. 50 pound sacks of Michigan white potatoes. Jabba the Hut sized hubbard squash. Lots of hidden deals within the frozen food section...six New York bagels @ $3.99...five pounds of pepper-jack breaded chicken breast chunks at $10.99. A special shout-out to the BEST in-store bakery I've ever seen. Most everything is made from scratch; breads, fruit pies, cream pies, fried hand pies in wax paper sleeves, various cookies, donuts, etc. They have the BEST cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns on this Earth (see pics). These are worth the drive alone. Note the ingredients are simple with King Arthur flour as the base. Great prices too. One of the best deli hot food counters I've ever seen. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravies, various hot vegetables, etc. Great prices. Looks like grandma made it all. In addition to the deli counter, there is a separate in-store cafeteria selling great lunch style foods like Reuban sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken fingers, fries, soups, etc. They cooked my hamburger in a cast iron pan on an old iron stove. Delicious! Great price too. The staff were extremely polite, helpful, and pleasant. Love the old fashioned check-out counters. They hand bag everything too. CONS: Too far from my home. Cramped aisles. Like any grocery store, not all the prices can compete with Wal-Mart. SUMMARY: Need a break from urban attitude? This is a no-brainer choice. Feels like walking back in time when people were nicer and food was better. Load up and drive out to the country, pretend it's a mini-vacation. read more

Great place to shop for a variety of groceries, fresh fruit and produce, with good prices to boot. Some of the items that you wouldn't find at major grocery chains are sold here. Employees are helpful and courteous. It's almost like a combination grocery store and old country store. read more

A coworker told me about this store a couple weeks ago and said he thought I'd enjoy it. I really enjoy Amish stores, so with my day off, I decided to take the trip there. The store itself is huge, and the aisles are nicely spaced; no bumping into people, and it's pretty easy to make a route where you'll see everything. I wouldn't say the prices are particularly cheap on a lot of things, but they have lots of things that are hard to find. IMO, that is the allure. They had my favorite cheese -- Guggisberg Amish butter cheese -- which I was thrilled about. They had it in chunks, sliced, and in great big logs. That alone made the trip worth it for me! They also had mushroom popcorn -- a type of popcorn where the kernels pop into large, mushroom-like shapes. I have been able to find that other places, but this was less expensive. I also found some nice soap like I've found at the Amish market in Shipshewana. I got patchouli and coconut (I think) 2 for $5! I've also been on the hunt for chocolate covered marshmallows; for some reason, they are hard to find. But Country View had both milk chocolate and dark chocolate for 50 cents each. There were also some good prices on sliced turkey and salami, and so much more that I decided I didn't need but that were very tempting. (Like cinnamon rolls that seemed to call my name!) I also ate lunch in their cafe. They make a pretty good crispy chicken salad at a very reasonable price. I'm sure I'll find an excuse to make the nearly 4 hour round trip again in the future! read more

It's changing and getting far more expensive. Its products are past the use date. We used to go every 3rd week but now. It still has fresh begs and things in season but again prices are higher. The place looks the same, neat and clean. read more

What is this place in the middle of nowhere, Snover, MI? Well it's a grocery store with great deals, fresh, baked, bulk and prices that makes your taste buds happy. Oh yeah, it's also got a Cafe that has great lunches, recommend mushroom Swiss burger or 3 piece cod dinner, both so affordable that includes your drink. Service was happy, smiles and the place is spotless for a small cafe, also they have a deli. I dare you not to find something you need or don't that you'll end up buying. We love stocking up at Country View. Large store featuring a little bit of everything. They have a large meat department, dry goods section with bulk packaged baking mixes, spices, seasonings, and so much more. They also sell sugar, flour, popcorn etc in bulk up to 50lb. They make fresh fried chicken and sides daily as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the place is always busy. read more

This Mennonite bulk food store has been around for a while, but with recent expansion, it's the place to visit. Bakery, bulk items, fresh vegetables and fruits, and other grocery items abound. They've added a new cafe with good meals and an abundance of choices. I've added a menu from June 2018. Prices are great! Just off M-46 between Kingston and Sandusky, Michigan. I'm just an occasional visitor and stop in whenever I pass through this way. read more

They have a very quaint café within the grocery store. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The environment is very clean.

Truly great store to stock up on ingredients for cooking or baking. The prices are amazing since you aren't paying for those fancy store labels. Everyone is very helpful. Nice selection of organics for the area. Lots of good prices on bulk foods with a large selection. Very impressed with my first visit. The food in the restaurant is amazing-I had a roast beef and onion sandwich, husband has a bacon burger and daughter had chicken strips...it was all great! Defiantly worth the drive. Always on the busy side but everyone has the same impression of amazing food and variety. My father has even openly stated he is never going to Wal-Mart again but coming here instead. read more

Their store is too dang busy, to get any shopping done. Build on another pole barn, as people clog the aisles so bad, and you cant get through, unless you are walking. This place is superb! Family owned and operated and they have added a wonderful café with home cooking - so delicious! They offer so many items in their store that you cannot get elsewhere. This is makes for a fun day - eat at the café and then do your shopping. It is well worth the trip. I have been buying the best whole coffee beans there in 5 pound bags for years. We LOVE this store and the cafe inside. We try to get there once a month (about a 45 minutes drive). Staff is friendly and helpful, and their meats are excellent quality. I like their book and boxed greeting card section with the reasonable prices. Their bakery is awesome. Their frozen food section always attracts us because of the items that can be bought in bulk (such as hash browns, chicken nuggets and more). We always have lunch here and their prices for lunch just can't be beat and their menu has a wide varieity of items. And if you bake a lot, this is the place for you to get your ingredients in bulk and save some money. You can walk around with a cup of coffee purchased at a serve-yourself coffee station right inside the store (to the right). read more
