There's something so satisfying about this kind of shopping. I often come here without any specific piece or need in mind, but I always walk out with something that is perfect for my home ... The staff is so friendly and you can tell they love working there and are proud of their artists and vendors. Since there are no shopping carts/baskets, they can hold your items for you at the front when you're ready to check out. Walking in, the set up of this cute venue is very similar to the store we have at home. Little booths of independent sellers. Every booth is different and unique. I love all the stuff they have here. Old pyrex mixing bowls are something I love to collect and there were many of them available. It was fun looking at all the differnt booths and seeing what they had for sale. It was a neat experience coming here and seeing all the goodies they had. This is one of the coolest stores I have been at while in Athens. This little shop carries planters, silk and plastic arrangements, decor items and furniture. They have small pieces that can sit on tables or larger pieces that can be used to anchor a space or as center pieces. Their furniture options included tables, chests, dressers, bookshelves and other pieces. I love that the store was divided into two sections where you can go off to the left and encounter lighter creamed colored pieces while the darker, (off black) pieces were on the right. side of the store. I am always drawn to black because it is my favorite color and a major feature in my very traditional decor. I love the light contrasting glaze added to the raised portions and edges of the pieces to create a bit of interesting detail. When it comes to furniture, I enjoy using it in unexpected ways and I love the idea of a pink elephant in the room. The pink elephant is that piece that catches everyone's attention while other pieces just fade to the background. These pieces are usually reserved for the more casual areas of my home such as the office and the kitchen area. Those simple bookshelves look great as the perfect place to store shoes. That dresser could be used in an upstairs hallway to store linen and other items. When it comes to home furnishings, think creatively and definitely outside of the box.
