Never, I repeat NEVER get service for your furnace from these people. They ripped us off the past few years until we finally caught on to it. They've been charging us for annual burner service/cleanings and never actually cleaned our furnace! Not once in four years! I have pictures to prove it. We knew something was not right when every year we were burning more and more oil. I called in a new company, a heating/AC specialist just to look at it this year and when they removed the flew pipe and top of the furnace, it was loaded with ash and black soot. Over an inch of soot! Ash in a 3 inch pile! We were told that even the oil filter on the tank hadn't been changed. I'm ripping pissed. So dishonest!!! If you use them currently, please have a heating/AC professional come out to double check your furnace! My neighbor used them too so after telling him what happened to us, he had a tech come out to look at his furnace and SAME THING! NOT CLEANED properly. These guys should be investigated for cheating people. Oh, and they also go under the name Colonial Oil. I posted on both. read more

No problems with them. I call for oil, they take my debit card over the phone (unlike another local company), they deliver the oil. Usually the lowest price in my area, and never had a bad batch of oil. Only one cautionary statement is they usually deliver on the last day of the multi day delivery window they give you. So if you're running super low, may need to get an emergency delivery, or find a place that can deliver sooner. read more

Poor customer service. Recently asked for a fill (not on automatic), but apparently due to a storm, they filled the tank half way. Driver should have alerted me via a note on the bill, but did not. Luckily I happened to view the tank level, or I would have expected I needed a fill in the usual 30 days - and would have run out. I complained and they did not offer to come right back out to fill the tank, which resulted in me paying $1.70 MORE per gallon for the next fill, which of course I had to do much earlier than expected since they didn't fill the first time. I sent an email to the general email asking for the contact email and name of the general manager, and was told I can give feedback on the general email, which of course goes to a lower level employee. The best oil and service prices, great, communicative and friendly technicians and awesome service as always. Quick anecdote on today's issue - we had the furnace on lockout twice in the past week (after having it serviced in late September). I called to schedule an appointment to look at it. Our usual tech came, explained the issue and replaced a couple parts. He was in and out of here within an hour. Because it was a repeat issue, the company covered it. Go to Dodge Grain in Salem NH instead, Fair honest pricing. The price stays the same per pound or gallon, doesn't change no matter how much propane you purchase. not Like County Energy False Advertising !!! They say a 20-pound propane cost 11.99 to fill and a gallon of propane starting at 2.29 a gallon at this time of writing. WRONG!!! I had a hundred-pound tank filled thinking it should cost 59.95 they charged me 72.00. Even at the listed price of 2.29 a gallon should have only cost 54.00 They actually charge you more money the more gas you buy. That's right, the more gas you buy the more the price per pound GOES UP !!! LET ME REPEAT The more propane you buy the more the price per pound goes UP!!! CRAZY I know i will never give them another penny!!! Talked to the office and the woman didn't say a word except TOO BAD!!! read more

Any time I ever need anything County Energy is there right away. I've run out of oil and they've come over right away. I just had a problem with my furnace, woke up with no heat or hot water. They came up fixed it and made sure I understood what was going on. I highly recommend them. They also have the lowest oil prices around. read more

Rude company out for your money. Service came by today to see what is wrong with furnace. They left and heat was still not working properly. Got charged $250 and the same problem persisted. While waiting on the phone with them, I took a look online and fixed the problem myself. Company was not willing to compensate for leaving the home without heat. read more

In my opinion, they have NO family values anymore. Owner on phone has no business ethics and should not be in business. She forgets there are elderly people and REAL human beings out there. Was told to take my business elsewhere because after 3 full business days I was supposed to have my oil, I DID NOT GET THE OIL AS PROMISED. When I called to see what was up I got hung up on and told to do business elsewhere. I called WED 9 AM and it was MONDAY 3 PM with no delivery and no idea of when the oil is coming. It is WINTER, most people cant wait almost a FULL WEEK after calling. ELDERLY people cant just mosey on over to a gas station and fill jugs of diesel fuel, transport and try and hold a container and fill their oil themselves..... I did originally use them because they saved me a penny from the next dealer, I thought that their values coincided with what their website said. It is misleading and wrong and to top it off the owner, left me a voice mail and said...to let you know the truck was gonna be at your house in 20 minutes and to let you know, you are not going to get your delivery and we don't want you as a customer any longer... I was able to get an oil delivery scheduled the next day with a phone call to ANOTHER company at 3:20PM....Whoa what do you know.... It didn't surprise me when I looked and found this COMPANY was not part of any related industry associations. Hmmm wonder why. Good Riddance and I can see why from other posts here on YELP already. This is truly THE WORSE company I've ever dealt with. The phone representatives are RUDE and LIE. The DRIVERS appear to be LIARS too. I called for oil to be delivered on a Monday. I was told delivery usually occurs within 3-4 business days however the exact day and time cannot be guaranteed in advance. On the Wednesday (3 days after my initial call) I called to check the status of the delivery and was told that the driver apparently could not make it up my street to deliver the oil and I should call them back once the road was clear to have the oil deliver. I explained that other vehicles including large trucks have been traveling on my street that day but the lady I spoke to (Kim) was very rude and explained that it was too late (my call to her was at 3 pm) to have the driver come back out the same day. She said the driver will deliver the oil the next day but she could not give me an exact time or time frame for the delivery. The following day, I spent most of the day waiting for them. I called the office 3-4 times and was told the oil will be delivered "sometime today." My final call to them at 3:15 left me feeling like I was in court and trying to defend myself. The lady on the phone claimed the delivery person came to my house and was unable to open the gate to access the oil tank. I informed her that I could guarantee her that a truck from their company had not stopped at my house because I was home all day and the only person that rang my bell all day was for a fedex delivery. I also explained that no one had call me from the company stating they were outside and could not open my gate. She said "well my driver doesn't lie so go check your gate to see if it opens." I went outside and opened the gate without difficulty. I even had my neighbor come over and observe the open gate. I offered to send a picture of the open gate to the company's representative or have her speak to my neighbor as proof that the driver was obviously lying; she refused. She was very rude and told me at that time that all she can do is put me "on cue" to have oil deliver on a different day even though I explained to her I have a 2 months old baby and had less than a quarter tank of oil left. So do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY if you're looking for reliable service. read more

This was once a good company but no longer. I was buying from them since they first got started but never again. They were once hungry for business and were friendly, helpful, and honest. That has all changed and now they are a greedy, grubby, profit grabbing soulless black hole. I got a delivery of 146.1 gallons and they charged me a $24 fee because it didn't reach 150 gallons. If they actually made an attempt the tank would have held another 20 gallons or they could have even just charged me for the 3.9 gallons that I was short of the 150. Go to someone else. This place is only going to get worse. It has been a steady slide downhill as they get bigger and show no loyalty to their customers. read more
