Life savers. I have an older car that has been through a lot. I admit, I'm not the best driver. I've run over curbs, bumped into curbs, ran over those cement blocks in parking lots you forget exist, etc. I've also been unlucky. Twice in a year someone smashed my bumper. The first was in a wawa parking lot and of course between the time I grabbed my coffee and returned to my car, someone swiped it and drove off. The second was just recently, where some person smashed into my car once again, the same spot...this time while I was working out at the gym. Waaa! As a graduate student who isn't made of money, County Line saved me. My bumper was popped out and a piece was dragging. You could hear it screech once I hit 30 mph. Maybe 35. I called Toyota but they told me they didn't deal with bumpers/body repairs, and referred me to County Line Auto. County Line Auto Body is fantastic. They looked at my car and asked me what was important... I said price and quality of repairs. Cosmetics I could care less. Rich looked at my car, gave me an estimate and how many hours of labor, and informed me they would do their best to repair it, but once they looked under the hood so to speak if I needed a new bumper, they would call me. I was satisfied with his assessment. His estimate turned out to be spot on and my car was ready in less than a day. I spent exactly the estimated price. (Very affordable for a graduate student/adjunct instructor). No, it's not pretty but I didn't ask for it to look pretty. I wanted my car fixed and not scammed into buying a new bumper if it was not necessary. The office workers at the front desk were equally exceptional. Friendly, professional. If you file a claim, they accept most major insurances. You can also just pay cash. County Line Auto Body turned a very stressful situation into a very calm and smooth process. I highly recommend County Line Auto Body. I'm not very familiar with cars and mechanics and admit I feel as though my limited knowledge had hurt me in the past. I respect County Line Auto for treating me like a person and acknowledging my situation, anxiety, and need for a reliable and honest repair. As my fellow yelper wrote in the review below, no need to go anywhere else. Great place, people, service. Thank you ! PS. My Dad inspected the car today.. he gives it an A for job well done! (He's a car guy haha).

    Professionals all the way!

Rich initially gave me an estimate of $40 to get the glue stains removed and in the end, decided not to charge me for such a small job.

Jack's accomplished the work and engaged the at-fault party's insurance company to arrange our rental vehicle, payment due, etc. So thankful for not having to fight for our rights as the injured party. Repairs were top quality and the entire incident while not entirely without stress, was smoother than initially expected. Probably one of the most professional firms encountered in all our years of experience. Thanks to Kevin, Tony, and Ms Donna for a great job extremely well done!

After I picked up my car from THEIR driveway, I started home and did not get very far and the low tire warning came on for my passenger side, front tire. I immediately brought it back and Kevin was kind enough to inflate the tire so I could get home. The next morning, the tire was flat so I inflated the tire and brought it back to Jack's. They 'fixed' it. I felt the tire was slowly losing air so Just before I went on vacation I inflated it to 40psi. When I came back 11 days later it was 26psi. I took the car to Firestone and hoped they could fix it and I would simply eat the charge. They could not, telling me they could not repair that type of a repair so I just bought a new tire. I brought the bill up to Jacks and 11 days later I got a call from a 'manager' named Tony. He declined to pay for the tire, telling me I waited too long and that I should have brought the tire back to them so they could fix it right this time. He also said Firestone was there to sell tires not fix them, which is another load of nonsense from him. I reminded Tony that I was on vacation and brought the invoice in as soon as I got home, and it took him 11 days to give me the courtesy of a call. I also informed him that if his people had fixed the tire correctly in the first place, none of this would have happened and what confidence would I have that they would get it right the second time? I have no problem with Jack's work or the people I dealt with, except for Tony. Instead of coming up with all the BS excuses, he should have taken ownership of the problem and remedied it. Jack's customer service left a lot to be desired and made what I felt was a good experience into a lousy one.

Warning: Avoid This Auto Shop at All Costs -- Shady Business Practices & Deceptive Tactics…read more We brought our car into this shop for a simple a fender, bumper, and paint scuff repair -- nothing more. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward job turned into an extremely frustrating and suspicious experience that dragged on for two and a half months and cost us time, money, and peace of mind. Our insurance company sent an inspector to the shop to provide a damage estimate. However, the shop owner, Rui, had an unprofessional confrontation with the inspector, causing them to walk out and refuse to continue the process. Despite that, the shop still received payment from our insurance company specifically to repair the fender, bumper and paint scuff -- and that was it! Instead of completing those tasks, Rui took it upon himself to add extra damage claims that were never part of the original issue and that our insurance never approved. When we questioned him and requested a detailed breakdown of what had actually been done to our car, he told us it would take "hours" to put together -- yet when we demanded the release of our vehicle and had no choice but to pay out of pocket, he magically had the breakdown ready in under 15 minutes. During this entire time, our car was held hostage. Every phone call resulted in excuses and delays. He claimed that work couldn't proceed because the insurance hadn't sent another inspector -- even though that wasn't necessary for the original repair. It became clear that he was stalling intentionally to rack up storage fees, which we ended up having to pay in order to get our car back. And here's the worst part: the job wasn't even completed. The area that was supposed to be repaired looked incomplete and worse than how we brought it in. We were without a car for over a two and a half months , and after all that time, the job we paid for wasn't even done. To make matters even more disturbing, Rui gave us the number of a so-called mediator (lawyer)-- someone who he claimed could help us "fight the insurance" to get more money. This "mediator" was not licensed, spoke unprofessionally, and admitted he had multiple similar cases with this same shop. When other customers' insurance companies asked for his credentials, he flat-out said he wasn't required to have a license. This felt like a coordinated scam operation, not a legitimate business solution. Bottom Line: -Our car was held hostage for made-up storage fees -Work was never properly completed -The shop added unauthorized charges and tried to pressure us into working with a shady, unlicensed "mediator" -Zero professionalism, zero transparency, and zero accountability -I truly worry about how many vulnerable people this place might be taking advantage of. Please do your research and stay away. There are plenty of reputable, ethical body shops out there -- this is not one of them. We absolutely do NOT recommend this shop.

No Nonsense - Honest Review from Tony My name is Tony, and…read morethis post is exactly what it says--no bull nonsense. I had a minor fender bender on the front driver's side of my vehicle, caused by an unknown party. For three days, I contacted and interviewed more than seven auto body shops around Ocean County. Quotes ranged from $1,200 to $2,900, always with an attitude like they were doing me a favor. Let's be honest: most auto body repair shops are the worst part of the auto industry. They try to sell you repairs you don't need--especially when there's no insurance company involved to keep them in check. (I didn't use my insurance company so I could avoid rate increases.) I had shops telling me I needed a new fender, door repaint, and even hood repaint--one shop quoted me $3,000 for work that didn't need to be done. Then I found 88 Auto Body on Route 88 in Brick, NJ. I spoke directly to Rui, the owner, on Monday, June 23, 2025. He gave me a straight answer, no games. By Tuesday, June 24, at noon, my car was finished--looking sharp and professionally done, including a pearl white repaint of the fender. The best part? The total cost was under $900. That's right--less than a third of what others were trying to charge for unnecessary work. I highly recommend 88 Auto Body in Brick. Ask for Rui, and tell him Tony sent you. You won't be disappointed. Phone: 732-458-6300
