The positives: the store is clean and staff are nice and helpful. The deli is pretty good, quality of deli meat is good, ready made foods are good. Has a good selection, I usually find what I need. Cost is higher than Cub on most items, prices similar to Coborn's. Negatives: You MUST watch the expiration dates!!! Over the years I have found out of date Organ milk (told them, went back later that week still expired told them again and emailed the company, went back and problem fixed). Found Organic expired milk again much later, told the staff and the problem was fixed. Recently found boxes of expired cream cheese, told staff about it, went back later and expired items were pulled and new items stocked. read more

I bought a porter house steak, it wasn't on sale so I paid a lot. I cooked it the same day, it was off. I stored it in refrigerator until I cooked it. This is the second time this has happened to me. They must extend the date on more expensive cuts. Be careful, make sure you get a fresh cut. It didn't go to waste, my dog didn't care if it was off and had a weird taste. read more

Clean store. Beautiful produce. Incredible meat selection. Wonderful bakery. Deli fried chicken is my total favorite. Good personnel. They have a post office, which is super convenient. I'm surprisingly impressed by this store. They have a really good selection of fruits & veggies and starting to get quite a bit of organic foods in there. Staff is great. Still has that small-town grocery store feel but really quite a selection. Considering the next nearest grocery store is 15 miles away, it's worth it to pay a little bit more on a few of the items to not have to spend the gas to go somewhere else. In the end, worth doing some decent sized shopped there when needed. Helps there is a US Bank right inside too! read more

The employees are very courteous and helpful. The meat department is better than most other grocery stores. Produce seems to vary from good to not so good. Can't get a handle on it. Watch expiration dates on yogurt. I've seen some that were as much as a month out of date. And, they stayed on the shelf for a long time. This is why I rated it with four stars rather than five stars. I prefer Green Giant frozen vegetables but their facings on this brand aren't as good as I would like. I wish they had a better consistent inventory of Thomas muffins but that's getting down to nit-picking. I buy most of our groceries there. I am not price-conscious so I can't comment on the value. read more

I got EXPIRED ricotta cheese and it turns out the rest on the shelf was expired too! By 10 DAYS. Called management and they said the would look into it. Maybe get a refund if the rest is expired too. Completely irresponsible of the management and the employees to not notice this. read more

Glad North Branch has this grocery store. However, I would like to see another grocery store open in North Branch. It would be nice for it to have a little friendly competition to help keep their prices down. read more

Great produce, way better meat department than anywhere else around. Pricier than other places, but you get what you pay for, if you want Walmart prices then goto Walmart, but if you want fruit that isn't spoiled by the time you get home, this is the place. read more

Great produce and meat department. Deli has a salad bar and nice selection. Big section of bulk dried fruits, nuts... Reasonable price considering it's the only grocery store left in town. I usually go to Cambridge for the majority of shopping and stop here when it's convenient. read more

Been very satisfied with the service I received at this establishment. Good prices, good bathrooms, prompt action for delivering mail, and they don't have any real problems from my vantage point as a consumer. I mean if you want to buy food then this is the place you want to be. People there actually seem to want to work. If I had any complaint at all it would be that the company web site is useless and management is difficult to talk to and often unwilling. For job seekers you can expect that if you do put in an application online it wont go through correctly management there wont allow for paper applications which is not a mature way to run a business in my opinion. They are better then target or Walmart in a few ways but in others they need to bridge the gulf between job seekers and the store. One other odd quirk is that they have a live fire place in the deli. It's not locked and they have no real security in the store from what I noticed. Any crazed lunatic could walk in with a duffle bag packed with some flammable material toss it in the fire and blow the store to kingdom come. You have to admit it's not really fair for the customers or employees what with all the nut jobs out there. Should we not have a safe shopping/work experience? read more
