He responded first thing the next morning and we set up a time for him to come check it out. He arrived at the agreed upon time and found that the transformer for the doorbell wasn't no longer functioning. Thinking ahead ,he picked up a replacement on the way to our house. He replaced the transformer and bypassed the mechanical chime for the Ring doorbell. Problem solved. He didn't charge us for the transformer, as it was most likely an issue during his previous service call.
