Love this place. It's the best barbershop in town and has the best prices. That being said if you come to get a haircut you're absolutely going to be waiting for a while because the place stays busy for the most part. I'm at a loss for words. Walking into this shop was like walking into my beloved Uncle Paul's Barbershop back in Fresno some 50+ years ago. Joey was my barber today and he was absolutely amazing. He used the clippers AND the shears and shaved the back with a straight razor. You don't see that anymore. Joey was pleasant and engaging and very fun to talk to. I was also just able to walk in and get my haircut. No appointment required. I was in Hanford today because of my son. We live in Fresno but Court Barbershop will be my go to from now on because to me it is worth it. I told Joey that a good barber to me is just as important as my financial advisor; my accountant; my attorney; and my priest. Sure, I remember when you could get a haircut for $5 but I'm 57 now and things have went up but unfortunately that's just the way it is...I saw in another photo, that the price of a haircut was only $17 in 2017...up by 60% ($28) only 7+ years later...that's sad but I'm not paying $22 to get a haircut at Great Clips. read more

The attention to detail was a breath of fresh air. The barber was able to not only give my son the exact haircut style he requested (Think young Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones) but was also able to tame the cowlick that usually stands out at a 45 degree angle. My son said he'll only return to this barber shop from now on. I have had the same barber for 17 consecutive years. Here recently I relocated to Hanford for a Temporary job and was needing a haircut desperately. I had contemplated driving to Bakersfield so my barber could cut it, but I was just too short on time. After reading the Reviews I decided to go to Court Barber shop. I walked in and was Immediately Greeted, Everybody was very kind, and the atmosphere was very Nostalgic which was refreshing. A gentleman with Long hair sitting in the middle prompted me to jump in the chair and asked what kind of haircut I wanted. The End result was Excellent. I was Very Very happy with the haircut. The only downside was I asked to have my beard tightened up around the sides to match the haircut (Which only took 2 minutes) and it was an extra $8 which seemed a little unreasonable... but other than that my experience was Excellent. read more

Overall, a pretty positive experience. The customer service was great, however the taper was not very clean. The barber only used one size guard on the sides and back and the taper is left to be desired. He missed some spots and there were some patches left over that I had to fix at home. Took our almost two year old to get a haircut and had the female stylist. Even after warning her that he does not do well with haircuts, she proceeded to be very cold and told my son he was being "bad." Definitely would not recommend her for children's haircuts. After many and many haircuts from basic salons such as Great Clips and Supercuts, I felt it was time for a change hairstyle and all. After researching Yelp and Google, as well as some word of mouth, I decided to pop in to Court Barber Shop. Best hair decision I've ever made!! I chose a style that's basically an undercut with a Hard part in which I wanted done with a straight edge razor to give it that classy/dapper look I wanted. Upon walking in I was greeted with a warm welcome and a handshake from Steven, got put in his chair with no wait at all. Normally in the person who goes in and doesn't make much small talk but with Steven and the crew in there, the chat went smoothly and was enjoyable. Steven took his time and made sure everything was even (that had been a problem for me with other places and I have to go back the next day for them to fix it) I can't express how happy I am with my cut, Steven and Court Barber Shop in its entirety. Came here today for a haircut. Pretty short wait which is always good! The haircut I got was ok, I'd give it a 7/10. The guy who cut my hair seemed friendly, wasn't too talkative though. However, I am only giving 3 stars as when my haircut was done I was told it was cash only (which is not shown anywhere). This meant that instead of being able to take advantage of my rewards credit card, I was inconvenienced as I had to walk a few hundred yards down the street and pay a $3 withdrawal fee at the Citibank ATM! It's 2019 guys, millenials like myself typically don't carry cash unless it's given to us! When you start accepting debit or credit cards I'll consider returning! read more

The best part about this place is the old feel when you walk in. White long sleeve shirts, ties and aprons. Most barbershops now are full of young hip hop guys, and that's not my style. I took my son here for his first hair cut this last Saturday and the service was amazing. It was very packed when we arrived and they told us we could go play at the park and they would call us when they where ready. Anyone with a young child understand how hard it is to stand in line for a while, so this was very nice. The cut turned out great and the women who cut his hair was very patient. Probably some of the best barbers in town but I don't get a positive vibe there given the pandemic. Most other barbers you can schedule an appointment which is super convenient and you don't have to sit in a small barbershop crowded next to other patrons for an unspecified amount of time. Here almost no one wears a mask. All four chairs are right next to each other but its not like you can really socially distance in there given the size. I guess that's the problem with going to a small business in a small farm town. If you want to do the right thing, then you have to go elsewhere. Still, good hair cuts for an affordable price. This was not a typical barbershop. This was the best I've ever been to. Usually I get my hair done and it's a simple task (#1 all around) Today I decoded to come in after reading reviews and growing my hair out for about 2 months. It took me about a month to come up with a style that I enjoyed. I came in and they were extremely welcoming. I explained my situation and how I wanted my hair and asked for recommendations on how to better style it. was able to explain what he was planning on doing with exacts details and when he was completed he kept to his word. During the haircut we had a good conversation which was great. I find it awkward to just sit there for long periods of time without saying anything.
