I would consider this to be a typical country pub, if it wasn't for the fact that I get the impression that Bacchus Marsh is slowly becoming a part of Melbourne's outer suburbs, so I would probably say that this place has more of a suburban feel to it than anything else. Yeah, it certainly didn't stand out in my mind, particularly since the beer selection was somewhat limited, but that is generally to be expected when you aren't in the inner city. While the spicy chicken wings were really good. The $35 rib eye looked good but was cold in the middle and the pepper sauce was so gelatinous it looked like brown flubber. Very disappointed. The staff were very friendly and apologetic. Would not recommend. But the beer was cold so I guess that's a positive. Was a shame as I waited quite a while for the meal. read more
