Took my car in for an oil change on Thursday. No problem with that, problem I had was with petson named Katie found her to be very rude and unpleasant, said I needed 2 license plate lights did I want them. Said do them since I don't have time and majority of the time im driving in the dark( last thing I need is a ticket for no license plate lights). Kid working on my car seems to not be all there, as im sitting there waiting and watching all I hear is it's leaking, it's seeping, I get up to see what's going on. They are at the rear of my car pointing to something. I asked the guy sitting at his computer what was going on he said oh it's just the inspection there doing. I'm like ok. Maybe it's nothing. I ask another person that asked if everything was OK. I stated they said something is leaking no sure what there talking about. He found out came back told me. Supposedly I have a rear shock leaking. And it's been doing it for a while, my question was if it's been leaking for awhile how come it was not brought to my attention sooner? No straight answer, just goes to show the inspection they say they do is all bull. Worst part is they quoted me $400. for one shock never said labor rate. I'm am about done with them, I have been a faithfully customer for the last 10 years. I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and experienced transmission-related symptoms the same day I took delivery. I promptly notified the dealership and sought diagnostics. Instead of repairing the vehicle, I was offered an unwind of the deal only if I agreed to a $1.50 per mile charge deducted from my down payment. I was not provided the dealership's written policy authorizing this charge and did not agree to it. I returned the vehicle, but after declining to sign the proposed unwind agreement, the dealership stated it would not proceed with rescission and asserted the original contract remained enforceable, while also referencing possible additional fees. I am now pursuing resolution through appropriate regulatory and lender channels. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting all return, unwind, and fee terms fully disclosed in writing before signing anything. read more

If you get Art just hang it up go somewhere else because it is always something else with him. He told me one thing my wife something else so lies are only coming out of his mouth. We heard stories we should have listened please take your time read how they don't care that they play games with your automobile. I feel that they are doing it on purpose because they want you to buy a new automobile because you are in need of the vehicle. I wouldn't want to buy from them since service can't hold their end up. Called Monday to bring my Edge in due to dash light coming on and losing all dash lights, power steering, turn signals and power steering. They got me in that day. Called later to tell me they needed to keep my vehicle overnight because their diagnostic machine wasn't reading any errors. They wanted to look more into it. After taking my engine cover off, a mouse nest was found, and they went to town! It was fixed in a timely manner. Had my car back Tuesday! Took my 2008 F150 in because I had a transmission fluid leak for TWO DAYS that looked like it was coming from the lines going to the trans cooler. Upon their tech's inspection they told me it was power steering that was leaking and said all three lines needed to be changed. I'm not a mechanic so I trusted their recommendation and I said ok do it. A day later they called and said one of the lines was corroded on the steering gear and they couldn't get it off so they would need to change that as well. I felt like there was nothing I could do so I told them go ahead and change the steering gear. Next day they called to tell me that they had finished all the repairs to the power steering but that my lines going from the transmission to the trans cooler had been discovered to be leaking now as well. Somehow, I had five lines all fail at the same time. I think the odds of that are on par with getting struck by lighting. I told them to go ahead and pull my truck out and park it in the parking lot. My bill for the repairs done so far came to around $3000.00. My truck still leaks just like it did when I took it in. These guys are either super shady or inept at their jobs. Also, on a side note they charge just about double for Ford parts that you can find online new. They did give me a break on price once I brought it up, but was only given about $150.00 off my bill. Bottom line, I gave them about $2800.00 and my truck is still leaking transmission fluid all over. I'm writing this as a warning because most everyone I've discussed this with laughs when I mention Court Street Ford. Wish they would have told me earlier. read more

Awful customer service in the service department. A long review, but I don't want anyone going through what we did. I scheduled an appointed for my Escape to get looked at. My transmission fail light came on and my steering wheel started shaking. Brought it in on a Monday morning. I had to call late afternoon to see if they had found anything out and if I would be getting my car back that day. They still hadn't found anything. I called again later, still nothing and I had to leave it there overnight. The next morning I got a call and was told that I needed a new steering gear and I had a transmission fluid leak. Along with being told what was wrong with my car, I was also informed that while they were test driving it, the wheel jerked so hard that it almost broke the drivers hand and almost got into an accident. We were told 2-3 days to get parts in and that we should leave it there, it was not safe to drive. We told them that wasn't an option, we have to have 2 cars for daily life. I called a week later to find out the ETA of these parts, they still didn't know, but would look into and let me know. 2 more days pass without a call. So I called again. Parts for the steering gear came in but not the other ones. Was told I can schedule that fix while waiting for the others. They ask if Monday worked. I told them as long as it's done by 1:00, yes. We have to have 2 cars. I was told it should be done by lunch. Again, if it is going to be done by 1:00, yes, lets schedule it. Drop my car off that Monday morning. While there we asked if we could change out our transmission fluid. They told us they will only top it off and that we have to make yet another appointment to do that. I called a half hour before I was supposed to pick it up to make sure it was ready. It was not, and they said they had no idea it was supposed to be ready by a certain time. I asked if I could just come pick it up now and reschedule. That was not an option because it was torn apart and wouldn't be put back together before 5:00. I asked him what he thinks I should do. We now only have one car, my husband needed to go to work, I needed to get my 2 kids to different games and practices and I'm now without a car. All he could say was sorry. I got a call the next morning that my car was fixed, and out of nowhere these other parts showed up and are installed as well. I picked up my car the following day. I had to run a few errands. I noticed that the steering wheel is still just as shaky as it was when I dropped it off. I called back and was told to just stop by whenever and someone will ride with me. I was told at this time that they noted on the paperwork the there was still a slight shake in the wheel, it might be the tires. So why was my car returned to me supposedly fixed when they noted on the paper work it had the same problem that I brought it in with. The problem was not fixed. Someone checked my car out again. They now think that the tires are bad and they want to re-check everything. So I need to leave it there again. This time they at least gave me a loaner vehicle. I asked if the tires were even check the first time, they didn't know. I asked if I actually needed this steering gear, or could it have just been the tires the whole time. I was told that on the test drive the steering wheel locked up. Funny, because originally it jerked out of their hand. Got a phone call the next morning from a guy saying that he was calling because he heard I had concerns about getting new tires. I told him I didn't even know what was wrong, I haven't received a phone call yet telling me what the issue was. Are you telling me it is the tires? Yes, now I need all new tires. Along with that, the steering gear that was just installed 2 days ago is now leaking and needs to be replaced. He said he ordered another steering gear and it should be in in about 2-3 days. They gave me pricing on new tires and asked if I wanted to do that. Absolutely not! After not fixing my car the first time and a broken piece 48 hours after they installed it I wasn't going to have them touch my car anymore. He was going to call me back and let me know for sure how long the piece would be to get in. I received a text a couple hours later and was told that they "found" the piece and it should be done today. So the piece that took a week to get the first time somehow gets here in less than 24 hours? Every part of our interactions has throw up red flags. It sad because my husbands family has been loyal customers since the beginning, purchasing and leasing over 15 vehicles. What a way to treat loyal customers. We will never shop or have our vehicles serviced here again. I strongly urge you to do the same. Go anywhere else!! They have horrible communication and just seem to be making up things as they go. read more

10 years ago, I would've given this place 4 - 5 stars easy. The salespersons and Quicklane employees were always courteous and very good with being helpful. Today was not one of those days unfortunately. I brought my truck in for brake inspection and after about 45 minutes (which I expected) they reported that I just need minor work done, but with one person ahead of me it'd be at least 1 1/2 hours. They offered me a shuttle to take me to my gym in the mean time which was nice. They assured me I would be picked back up and brought back.... Completed my workout and I called to find out they were almost done. I told the gentleman I was ready to be picked up. He stated he didn't think anyone could come get me..... so I sat there wondering how to get back there, and he said he'll see what he can figure out and hung up..... I waited 5 minutes wondering if I was going to have a ride or not, and no one called back. Finally I just went on Uber and ordered one up. Right as the Uber was arriving they called and said someone would come get me.... I kindly advised them I ordered an Uber. Upon arriving there, I walked in and the gentleman quickly showed me the paperwork and handed me my key and showed me where to pay. No apology or anything. FIRST OFF, if I knew my ride back wasn't guaranteed I'd of gone for a walk, and just grabbed lunch instead of accepting their shuttle to my gym. I could've just walked back when my truck was done and worked out after. But I was assured the shuttle would bring me back and that was not the case when I called for my ride back to the dealer. At minimum, they could've apologized for the mix up and making me pay $11 to grab an Uber back to their dealer. I will be taking my business to Taylor Ford in Manteno from this point on. read more

Could have been MUCH better. 2015 F150 left rear emergency brake not completely releasing. Emergency brake actuator and cables were sticking and needed replaced. I have an extended warranty so I had to wait a couple of days for approval to proceed with the fix. Art calls me and tells me that the emergency brake pads would need replaced also but the warranty would not cover them. I consented to all the repairs. Waited 2 weeks for my recommended 'Genuine Ford Parts' THEN I watch some YouTube videos on how to perform the repairs. Videos were actual mechanics, not your average Joe. Most of the labor to replace the actuators was the same for replacing the brake shoes, often referred to as 'related labor'. BUT somehow it cost me more for the brake shoe replacement than it cost the warranty company for the actuator and cables to be replaced. I bit my tongue and just paid up. So after almost 3 weeks, wrong cable was sent so I had more delays, I picked my truck up. Driving home I tested the E brake and it barely worked! Pedal was all the way to the floor and brakes were barely engaged. Apparently the mechanic forgot to install a part! Called Art back and 2 days later I finally have my truck and my E brake still is 'weak' After reviewing the receipt I have no clue if I received 1 or 2 new actuators and 1 or 2 sets of E brake shoes. Needless to say I won't go back. I will say Art is a very friendly and helpful guy. I also think they could have gotten parts faster through a local parts store. read more

I have taken my truck here all of its life. Good service, they are always nice to me. Never bought a car here though... The only complaint I have is that for about 15 oil changes and multi point inspections my brakes had a check in the "green" box... On visit 16 the brakes were so far gone I not only needed to replace the pads but the rotors too... I was told this kind of damage can happen quickly, I said ... In 5000 miles? - Seriously... I drive the same today that I drove for the last 78,000 miles. To me the more likely explanation is that someone was pencil whipping the inspections and nobody ever actually looked at the brakes. Maybe I'm wrong. But brakes that are designed to last let's say 50k miles...wear in less than 5k miles and shave enough steel off of the rotors to make them unable to be salvaged... You didn't look. So will I go back, I have 2000 more miles to decide... read more

I got some work done on my new Ford Fusion recently at Court Street, and it was a great experience! Everyone there is extremely friendly, especially management. They got me in on time and my car was done on time as well. They even washed it for me. They also have a really nice waiting area for customers with popcorn, coffee and water while you wait. Kelsey on the phone helped me get a prompt local tow to get me to the dealership just before they closed - and got me the information I needed to rent from the nearby Enterprise (just before they closed, too). John in service sent me to the Quick Lane to drop the car off, b/c it stayed open one extra hour. Not only did everyone hang around after closing time to assist me, they had my car ready the very next day for a very fair price. Everyone made sure I got back on the road in a rental in time to make my business appointments, and my repaired car is running like a dream. Last November 2021 I had a bout $8000.00 worth of work done at the court street ford dealership. One of the things I had done was a new windshield wiper motor. The motor went out in early march so now I am unable to drive that vehicle safely or at all when it rains. I bout it into ford about three weeks or more ago and they said the motors are on back order and no date of when they will be available. When I asked if they could get one from a local parts store they said Ford would not allow them to do that unless they submitted a form explaining the need to do so. I have to call every few days for an update and they say they have not heard back and they will call and check on it and let me know, which they never do. I asked that they speak to the owner because I always hear the Jeff and Brandon commercials on how they have loved their customers for 39 years their and that their customers are so important. I would think if the owner does not have the power to override a work order to get a part or even put his customers first, as he states is a shame. Looks like when end up paying for the part out of pocket and installing it myself since Court street ford has no concern about honoring their warranty or the safety of their customers. I would suggest you take your vehicles elsewhere because they only care about you until the check is cashed. John service is a good guy and has always tried to help me but I feel his hands are tied and unfortunately I have been working with Ben and although he is still in training not sure he should be on the floor yet if he can not provide the customer experience. Oh and before I forget they had also replace the brake caliper on the right side and forgot to tighten the bolts and they fell out and caused damage to my inner rim. Although they put new bolts in to secure the caliper they said the damage to the rim was just cosmetic. Well it did not have cosmetic damage before they failed to do their job correctly. read more

Fast but expensive and not forthright. Brought in for loud squeaking engine and suggested it might be the idler pulley to them. They changed that but the noise persisted, so another trip to find out it was never the idler pulley but the A/C...and they wanted and arm and a leg for that. I first went to Court Street at the suggestion of a neighbor for a quick oil change. That went well and their assessment of my car's condition seemed honest and accurate. So, I went back recently as I wanted to get my A/C recharged and get the oil changed. I walked in, as soon as I mentioned A/C to the service writer, he walked me over to their other service area. Never got a chance to tell him I also wanted an oil change. He ran off and I was left to talk to the Assistant Manager. She said that wasn't something they could do same day and asked if I could drop my car off and leave it there for a day next week??? Are you kidding me? I have to leave my car there for a day just to get the A/C serviced? And no offer of shuttle service. I got out of there, drove over to Midas where they took care of it for me within an hour that same day. I don't know why Court Street would think what they wanted me to do had the customer in mind at all. So, won't be going back there. read more

This has to be one of the best service departments I've ever been in. I had a problem with my truck that I thought was the transmission. I briefly explained the issue to John at the service desk. Without skipping a beat he told me it was most likely a spline issue that Ford had sent out a service bulletin on recently. They pulled my truck in, completed the repair, and I was on my way. Many dealerships that don't stay as informed as Court Street Ford could have spent half a day looking for a problem and possibly mis-diagnosed as a transmission issue ($$$$) which I probably would have gone for. These guys are on top of their business and committed to providing a valuable professional experience to their customers. The whole time I was there everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. One of their salespeople was happy to talk to me about a new truck he knew I was definitely not going to buy and he never once tried to push me around. So my Ford Explorer had a steering recall, required replacing the steering gear (rack and pinion assembly) and reprogramming the computer. Okay so I drop it of on a Monday parts in by Wednesday. They contact me and say I have a bad tie rod end. Fine I agree to have them change it while it is apart, they charge me $135.90 for the part, my cost for the better MOOG part is $38 plus shipping. I just changed the tied rods both inners and outers when I changed the struts and stabilizer bushings and stabilizer bushings in February. Tie rods, links and bushings were MOOG and the struts were Monroe all USA made products. But now I get a call that the right hand strut is bad, it is making a noise. This will cost me $1010 to replace. I say a hard no. Well I get the car home and jack up the front of it and look to see if they did what they say they did on the recall. Yes to that, with respect to the steering gear, and the alignment was good. But the strut was also fine. They claimed the strut was bad, it was not, I generally get 40,000 miles out of a set of Monroe front struts, 20,000 out of Motorcraft struts. So with the Covid lock down and no business travel for me, I have maybe 2,000 miles on new struts. So what was making the noise and I would agree there was a noise there now that was not there when I dropped it off? On closer inspection the stabilizer bar link on the right side the upper nut had loosened. This I find interesting. Was not loose on Monday, but was loose on Friday, this happened while at the dealership the whole time. Also I had 2 friends who are ASE certified mechanics inspect the "bad" tie rod end and both said it was in perfect working order, no need to replace it. I also found out that the Service Manager at Court Street Ford has a poster on the back of his door showing how to up sell customers for things they don't need. read more

Well me and Jeff the owner became friends even exchanged food that we had bought at different deli's. I must admit he kept trying sell me a car though. The last time I spoke with Jeff the owner my friend, had been some months ago when he had asked me to place a order for some pork butt because he and the neighbor where going to make sausage and they he would save me some.But I had never heard from him again. Most of the people here are very friendly, that is why I give them 3 stars. Court Street Ford, like most dealers, offers warranties with their cars. However, getting your vehicle serviced under one of these warranties is near impossible, unless its a recall. They always say the same things, no other (insert vehicle) has had these issues, we didn't (insert sensory function) the problem, that's normal for this (insert vehicle or part). The list goes on and on. It's a disservice to sell your customers vehicles for over $25,000 with tires that need to be changed in the next 6 months. It's also a disservice to your customers to not inspect and repair warrantied vehicles. Your dealership isn't hurting for money, you over price vehicles, the least you could do is fix them when they require work. Also, when you fix a vehicle and the technician writes down things that need to be repaired/replaced, he should probably verbally communicate this to the customer and actually have them initial and sign the form. He/She probably shouldn't be telling the customer everything is fine, when your sheet says otherwise. read more

**Do Not Purchase Without Reading first** drove a touch over 2 hours from home to look at a car at this facility. After 14 days, and a false mileage report in paperwork that landed in their favor(of course) I've been left with my primary vehicle down with a blown motor and Chad(their used car manager) flat out refused to aid in any repairs and insinuated I was foolish by stating and I quote " you were told to have the vehicle looked at, you said you where mechanically inclined, I'm beginning to question your judgement" the check engine light went out shortly after it came on and hadn't come back. On the 14th day, there was a knock on the engine I reported to them, and 3 miles later, blown engine. I had heard all the hype of how they're "a different kind of dealership with regard to the customer service" but it's clear they're are snakes in the grass if they're all like Chad. Be very careful when buy a car from Court Street Ford. I bought a new Fusion from them in 2010. The salesman Rick Hana was very pushy and and hard to negotiate with. He even went as far as to tell me that there were no rebates on the new Fusion that I bought only to find out later on that there was $2000 in rebates that were available from Ford but the dealership kept the money and I wasn't given credit for it. Then I went into the finance office where I was subjected to more pushiness from the finance manager who wanted me to buy a warranty even though the car came with one from the factory. He did not accept no for an answer until it got to the point that I was ready to walk out only then did he start printing my paperwork. Make sure that you read your paperwork thoroughly so that you don't get stuck like I did, they like to put unnecessary chargers onto your total bill such as VIN Etching for $998.00 that I did not ask for nor did I want. When I called to complain about the etch charge and the rebate I was told that the deal was already done and there was nothing that they could do to change it. I will never do business with these crooks again nor will I ever recommend that anyone else does either. read more

This I was told was one of the best dealerships in the kankakee county area. I went to this dealership in a whim with being told over the phone "we have great news you are approved." Now before even looking at the vehicles that I was approved for they told me the price of my payments. I'm not accepting the payments without even seeing the vehicle. Needless to say the sales manager was rude because I chose to walk out of there. I understand they need to make a deal but I'm Not agreeing to payments before I look at or even drive the car. So I went to a trusted name I grew up with hawkinson (hawkinson nissan in matteson) It wasn't the exact dealership from where I grew up but I know the name and they were very great. I got approved for a brand new vehicle 11 miles rebates and all with a warranty much less then what court street was trying to deal me out. I state again I never even got to see the cars they wanted me to look at. Maybe I would've stuck with them if they show you what they want to sell you first. Except for the fact I have points to use for an oil change there I will never get a car from them they made my first ever car buying experience horrendous. read more

Vehicle brought to Service department for repair estimated to take 4-6 hrs to complete. While doing repair a part was dropped in the engine. Three weeks later repair not completed. Spoke to Service Dept manager and was told work would be completed that day. However instead a part was broken. So now on the 4th week and vehicle not completed even though part was delivered personally to the dealership.
