I had an oil change appointment with Hove Nissan. They service other vehicles brands but mine was a Buick in particular. Service took about an hour time. They have A sitting room for the wait. There were complimentary coffee and drinks for the guests. Didn't get the fella named but he was really nice. Greeted me with a gentle smile and warming hello. Long review: My family and I were traveling to MS, for Mother's Day and we started having car trouble. We had been traveling about 90mins on I 57. All of the lights on the dash came on and we could only get up 62mph. We made a u turn to at least head back to Chicago it was about 5:00 am so we're headed back home and I said let's see if there is a Nissan close to us and it was Hove Nissan. We were greeted by Clinton the assistant manager who took care of us explained to us what was wrong but not only that he offered us a loaner car if we wanted to go have breakfast but we stopped on the way to the location to wait for it to open. But he offered and that was nice. He assured us that he would do everything possible to assist us and make sure we were going to be safe either way. He was honest and said if the parts weren't there we could only move the car by tow truck only. He showed us that he cared about our safety. He and his team repaired our car and assured us that when we left their location that we would be safe and we would make our trip with no other issues. And we did car drive perfect. My experience with this dealership has been extremely disappointing and very costly. In 2023 I purchased a 2011 GMC Sierra with only 47,000 miles. I was specifically told that the truck had been fully inspected by the dealership's service department and had passed their multi-point inspection. I relied on that assurance when deciding to purchase the vehicle. Since then, I have spent over $6,000 in repairs, and the truck now has approximately 69,000 miles, meaning I have only driven it about 22,000 miles while dealing with repeated issues. Repairs have included: Starter replacement Wiring harness replacement Replacement of all four O2 sensors A complete exhaust system replacement Onboard computer system problems requiring a full relearn and reboot My independent mechanic informed me that these types of wiring and onboard system problems should have been identified during any legitimate dealership inspection. The situation became even more frustrating when I trusted the dealership's service department to replace an oil pan gasket, only to find that the truck was still leaking oil after the repair. Because I commute over 40 miles each way to work, the truck's unreliability forced me to purchase a second vehicle just to ensure I could get to work every day. When I attempted to discuss these issues with the dealership, they were not willing to work with me or provide any meaningful assistance. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here to have it inspected by an independent mechanic before buying. read more

Hi, my name is Brian. My mother went here to have her vehicle serviced and they took the cover off the motor and we found out a couple months later. I have talked to Brad. I have talked to another arrogant guy who dealt with my deaf mother very rudely. I also called the parts department And here we are months and months later after they said they were gonna assist me and resolve the issue and they really just don't care. This place is really weird. We had a negative experience and they bribed us by saving us $100 to remove our negative reviews. That is not how customer service works. Take it from someone who professionally does hair all day on all walks of life. This location is known to give people issues, ((hearing from coworkers, clients, family, AND friends)) and I wonder how many people they've bribed into removing negative feedback. It's a long story about the key fob. Which it shouldn't be. So I'll save the details and warn you that unless you're there to buy a car for sticker price, they're not interest in being friendly with you. The service center is awful, lying, gaslighting, and bribing customers. After the awful experience my husband had, it makes me want to get rid of my Nissan so if I ever have problems I do not have to deal with their poor customer service skills. You should have saved us $100 for the key fob situation being a week-long thing instead of offering it to us to remove our negative reviews. You need a new job, customer service is not for you.it's really unfortunate this is the only Nissan location in the direct surrounding area because dealing with them was like pulling teeth. This review will not be removed. You're weird for even suggesting it the first time around. You're shady and that's not how business should be handled. Luckily it was my husband's vehicle because he remained extremely patient with them, although they did not deserve it. I was charged for a oil change and tire rotation. When I left I quickly discovered my tires were never checked for air pressure or rotated. When I brought the car back in the service manager first tried to tell me that I was wrong and had not drove far enough. However when he went and talked to the mechanics he came over asked for the keys to my car. He handed them over to the mechanic and with out saying anything went in to the office for the rest of the time I was there. The mechanic pulled the car in rotated and aired up the tires after he was done pulled the car up to me got out and all he said was "The keys are in the car." Being charged for work that was not completed is theft. How do I know the oil was even changed in the car. I have brought my car in the last 4.5 years for all the service that has been done and now I start thinking what other work did they say they did and didn't but charged me for it? I am done with Hove Nissan and plan will tell anyone that I can to stay away from Hove Nissan and its dubious business practices. read more

Beware Warning! Never take your car to Hove if you want to be treated with dignity respect. I took my son's 2009 Nissan Sentry in for service at Hove on Friday 2/23. I went to pick car with my car on Saturday 2/24. I thought it would be good experience for my 16 yr old to see where his car goes and where to pick it up since it's been there multiple time for service. I arrived early and Tom the service manager was upset we were there to pick up vehicle, Tom totally lost his cool and yelled at me and my 16 yr old son about coming to pick up vehicle early, Tom ripped up the paperwork and told us to find our own #ucking car and walked away. I told the mangers on site what Tom said and how he acted, and they assured the owner would call me on Monday 2/26 to discuss/address. I didn't receive call. It's Tuesday 2/27 - still no call from owner, or manager with apology. I cannot believe Hove did not follow up with me and they allow there employees to speak and treat people this way. This type of behavior is totally un-except-able . No customer should ever be cursed at and treated this way at any place of business, and it makes it worse this was done in front of my son. BEWARE - Don't take a chance go to another dealership-if you want to be treated with dignity and respect, and don't want your children exposed to profanity and them being told to #ucking find their own car by the service manager. read more

Bought a new car tonight. Ivan was awesome. Regular emails, answering all my questions. Not pushy, but available. Met my best offer from another dealer. There was a slight misunderstanding between 'out of the door' price quoted and when we got there--- I don't think it was deceptive, and was really small $500, so he split the difference (without my asking!) and I didn't have to twist his arm to throw in a privacy cover. Hot-diggity-dawg. Car buying process easy. Dennis Keene, manager, was also super helpful ensuring we got out of there by putting on the liscense plates and fixing a missing piece on the bumper. Ivan stayed to make sure I knew all the features on my new Rouge. Answered all my q's and sent me off with a smile! Working with Hove Nissan was by far the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. I found they had a used Cadillac ATS for sale. Long story short, the car had A LOT of issues the salesman forgot to mention. A lot of information he forgot to mention about the car. Mind you, this is after I agreed to pay the asking price given the vehicle was in the condition he stated. I drove almost an hour and a half to see the car only to discover the car had body damage, needed tires, needed brakes, and worst of all, THE CAR HAS A SEVERELY DAMAGED SUBFRAME. The salesman mentioned the car needed a third brake light, then didn't mention it had not arrived until after I came to see the car. Do you think I was going to drive 80 miles again to have the light replaced if I bought the vehicle? Thank God I was smart enough to ask to inspect the car under the lift. Very disappointed with my experience and the time I wasted driving all the way to this dealership. Absolutely disgusted with Hove Nissan, the used sales department, and most importantly their service department. This shows their vehicles do not undergo any type of thorough inspection. got me a rental car one time when my car was waiting for parts. that was cool. i dont think they wash your car after a service like many other nissan dealers do. also like many other nissan dealers, this location does not allow you just to drive up without an appointment for a service . i know xtreme nissan in bloomington does this. so its kinda dumb you have to call ahead and hope they have an opening this week for something as simple as an oil change. even if you have the silver or gold maintenance package . oh well its close and i have no other choice read more

Do not I repeat DO NOT buy a car from here. I bought a 02 Mitsubishi eclipse for $4000 which was way over priced for the condition it was in. Only owned it for 3 months and already spent over $2000 in repairs just to continue driving it. (All brakes and rotors, tires, all sway bar links, exhaust leak, coolant problems, both rear struts, wheel bearing) They only gave me a $950 trade in value for an 03 Ford ranger. And the salesman asked me "What do you plan on doing with this car?" as if he was judging me as a punk college student. I replied that I needed a reliable car with lower miles and gas cost. Knowing what they were selling me and what I wanted with the price range I could afford, they neglected to show me other cars that better suited me that may have been better options. They advertised a 1970 corvette convertible in autobuy - I had contact with a guy called landcaster he was the salesman - Im from germany and so I ask him about the condition of the car. He response very good condition no damage - paint and everthing in very good condition. This I got printed by serveral emails also for documentation he send me about 33 photos. I bought the car because I trust a dealership which sells also cars from Nissan and GM ! But what I received after a few weeks over here was a great piece of s**t ! The car has serveral demages - the paint was very bad - the electrical has many bad circuts - and at all as we take the car on a lift we see that this car has had a very bad accident and the frame has a big demage. But this is not all the bad demage was repaired by stupid people so bad that you can throw the car on a junkyard ! This company ripp me off 22.000.-- $ for a frame demaged corvette and they don`t feel bad ! Serveral emails I send - getting no response - and Im sure they know that they sell a piece of s**t ! Went there to look at at used Yukon XL. Didn't like that one. Then the salesman said we just took in a Tahoe, would you be interested in that? I said yes, he pointed me where it was. Drove it. Came back and said, it's good. Lets talk numbers. They were very easy to work with. We agreed on a price, but told them I needed my wife to look at it first. They held it for me for a week before our work schedules allowed us to get there to both look at it. Not one phone call from them. They are not the typical pushy sales group that call every day, every few hours. We planned on a Thursday to look at it, but work held me back. So I called them to let them know, and they were completely cool with it. Went back with the wife, drove it, in literally 1000 feet she was sold. They held it for me for WHOLE WEEK. All the way thru the salesman, sales manager, and finance, was smooth. Not one issue. Will I buy another vehicle from them, new or used, no questions asked. Absolutely. Being all to familiar with morally bankrupt charlatan car dealers, I had no good expectations while i was driving (not walking) around their lot. Me and my dad were watching out for any salesmen as we sneaked out of the vehicle to examine the trucks we were remotely interested in. When we did summon for a sales rep to give us a test drive, we were pleasantly greeted by Brandon. After the first 10 seconds of talking to Brandon, i could tell he was an upright guy. I found a truck that i loved and bought it for a fair price. My dealings with the owner of the lot, Terry, were equally good as well. The staff inside was very friendly. They will show you respect you deserve when you're there. I highly recommend a visit to this lot. They have a good used inventory in addition to their new cars. Make Hove the first lot you go to if you are car shopping. Next time i'm in the market for a vehicle, i will certainly be making the drive to HBN, and i live all the way up in Chicago. read more

I am very happy with the friendly customer service we received when we were searching for a new vehicle. It was very easy and hassle free from the initial phone call to signing the deal. We dealt with Matt Shipley and he was a very friendly, made you feel welcome type of salesman. He was not pushy in any way and helped us get the vehicle we wanted. There was some down time as there were other customers and salesman talking to the finance manager at times but he made sure we were comfortable and talked to us to pass the time. Compared to other dealerships we have dealt with before Hove, I would highly recommend Hove to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. The selection is huge (they don't only sell Nissan) and chances are they have what you are looking for. When we decided on the vehicle of our choice, we did the final paperwork with Ivan.
